This book is a beautiful small town love story and Harlow's debut book. It's a story about new beginning and second chances in life.
This book shows us how outrageous mean life can be but also how incredibly beautiful, if you are ready to fight for it.
It illustrates how people can destroy a life through prejudice and narrow-minded views.
And how hard it is to start over and build a life after a tragedy, that has changed your life forever.
Don't get me wrong, this book is not just sweet, swoony, it also gets steamy and hot 🔥 and has definitely enough drama and excitement to make it interesting and gripping.
A perfect summer read with a romantic and beautiful HEA.

Chasing Hope by Harlow James is a super sweet small town romance. Hayley is a feisty and sweet small town girl and Tyler is a man who made a very tragic decision when he was a teenager that he has been trying to outrun and move on from for years. They meet and sparks fly immediately. This story is sweet and romantic but don’t worry, there are enough hot & steamy scenes included to keep you satisfied (pun intended). The story had just enough angst without going overboard, which I think was the perfect amount to give me a bit of drama but didn’t distract from the romance I wanted to read. And the ending was perfection.
My favorite line from the book will stay with me for a long time. “Life is messy, life isn’t perfect, there is never going to be a right time, and life can change in an instant.” Words to live by.
I’m excited for Book 2 in this series. I honestly can’t believe this is the first book written by Harlow James because it’s THAT good for a debut book.

Wow!!!
This book will have you feeling every emotion. The main characters, Hayley and Tyler literally have to fight for their relationship. Their love is put to the test over and over again. I felt so bad for Tyler. He was trying so hard to prove his worth and the town just kept putting him down. But Hayley always stayed on his side and I love that. Everything he faced, she was right there with him. There are some major bombshells throughout this book that I was not expecting. The writing was great, characters were well written. Can't wait to start the next book in this series.

Chasing Hope was my first read by this author and I was so impressed!
Tyler’s character hooked me from the beginning. I love the bad boy types 😛 I just knew his story was going to rip my heart out and stomp on it. I really hated how the town treated him, it made me so angry for him. I was constantly yelling at my iPad “YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HIM!” 😂
Even though Hayley’s character was portrayed by others in the town as “soft, sweet, and a heart of gold” I adored her feisty side. She was a perfect blend of sweet and bold, ready to fight for what she wants.
I’m a Harlow James fan for life!

HOLY CANNOLI my friends. This book was SUCH a pleasure to read. Harlow James is a wonderfully, gifted storyteller. I couldn’t put this book down!!
Okay, honestly though, I think Tyler might actually be my dream man. Handsome and smart and completely devoted from the very first moment he laid eyes on Hayley…there is nothing more perfect than that! Hayley is also totally a dream. She’s beautiful and sweet and compassionate. A perfect heroine for our story.
We meet Tyler and immediately learn that he is running from his past. It takes a while for our author to bring us up to speed with what really happened to cause him to run, but that’s what keeps the reader so engaged. Brilliant! His past comes back to haunt him (as it should) and causes some issues between him and Hayley (which we all knew was going to happen). It’s how Hayley handles the news that shows us just how incredible of a character she really is. Such empathy and strength. UGH SO GOOD!!!
Umm can we also talk about how this suddenly turned into a telenovela for a hot second and thoroughly spiced up the story line. Obsession and guns and attempted murder are all gifted to the reader…you’d think that adding something like that in at the last second might take away from the story, but it just added more depth and carried us through until the end.
Every twist and turn on this journey was meticulously placed and carefully planned in such a way that nothing distracted from the artistry. This is an example of storytelling at its finest. 5 stars and a million snaps. I wish I could go back and re-read for the first time all over again. Thank you for this gift, Harlow.

This was a new to me author and so glad I’d been seeing her in my ig feed. Finished this in one sitting because I couldn’t go to bed and not know what happened with Haley and Tyler.
Hayley is the small town good girl. Born and raised in Hopetown and everyone seems to have an opinion about what she does and what’s best for her. She meets Tyler on a really bad day of rotten luck and he jumps in to help her. He’s the new guy in town looking to start over. Except small town gossip hounds are out to shut it down before they have a chance.
These 2 are both so sweet and fighting their own sets of obstacles and doubt. Is what you think might be ahhhmazing worth risking your heart? You’ll love all the support characters and their dads.
It was a slower burn but worth the wait. Shew Harlow those steamy scenes got HOT! No shame in my game it’s stuff you need to know! Then all hell breaks loose on all fronts for Tyler and Hayley and it gets intense! I was definitely not expecting any of that!

This is the first book i read by Harlow James and her first book to have been released.
its so sweet and well written for being her first book. its got all the feels. small town,big love between the two main characters. it has that journey from beginning to end and that whole bomb thats dropped just at the end makes you realize that Harlow has got a thing for writing.
