John Bagnell Bury (often published as J.B. Bury) was a classical scholar, historian, and philologist. He held the chair in Modern History at Trinity College, Dublin, for nine years, and also was appointed Regius Professor of Greek at Trinity, and Regius Professor of Modern History at Cambridge University.

Greece history

Interesting history book, especially if you're interested with Greek and Sparta culture. The writing style also good, a combination of formal and fantasy novel, so the reader not bored quickly.

Heel interessant boek en heel goed geschreven maar enkele storende tik(?)fouten. Ik had de indruk dat de tekst niet nagelezen was. Er stonden ook zinnen tussen die nergens naar toe gingen, waar het onderwerp herhaald werd...
Maar als je daar doorheen kan lezen, is het dus echt een heel goed boek.
