Rate this book
Two looming wars, two forced escapes — and one secret deathbed.

Dee turns fifty years old, comfortable and happy in both realities, living her modest life with her unconventional family. Then the world interferes.

Born in Sweden, raised in Finland, I’ve wandered the corners of the world for two decades. I’m a life-experience junkie, writing sci-fi stories about unlikely heroes in dystopian and post-apocalyptic settings. Untouched nature, society’s marginalized misfits, made-up song lyrics, and licorice ice cream make my simulation go round.

The third installment of the Borderline Series is the boldest of the three books. The author's choice to continue this story twenty years or so since the events of the previous book is an intriguing one. There is a lot more visceral pain in this book than in the previous two as the author continues to portray emotional trauma with great sincerity. The conclusion of the two realities is very eloquently done. I believe reading books 2 and 3 close together will offer the reader the best experience of the emotional rolercoaster that is the Borderline Series.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review, and have not been compensated in any way. All opinions are my own.
