As survivors in the tiny community of Lula, Mississippi scavenge for supplies across the river, a decision made by someone a thousand miles away puts them and their entire community at risk. With weapons being scarce, they must use their wits if they want to live to see another day in the zombie apocalypse.
Dead America: The Second Week introduces new survivors and locations in addition to revisiting some familiar ones as people all across the country fight for their survival against the growing armies of the undead.
Dead America: The Second Week (#1), Dead Texas / Dead America Universe (#12)
We have now entered the second week since the outbreak. This time we head to Lula, MS and a father and daughter team, Vernon and Nadia. These two are usually the part of the group that go across the Mississippi River for the supplies needed for the townsfolks. On this trip Nadia is needed to stay in the town. While the group is in Helena, AR not only are they confronted by zombies but the bridge they use is blown up. (The connection to the previous book and the State of the Union meeting.)
Vernon gets in touch with his daughter and tells her that she need to get the people to the casino because the noise from the bombing will bring on the zombies. Not an easy task since the present guests are zombies. Also hampering Nadia is that she is a 16-year-old black girl.
An entertaining adventure with getting supplies, taking over the casino and getting the supply group back across the Mississippi. Characters are interesting, the best being Nadia and Tony.
Turpinot vispārējo Dead America sēriju tās Pirmās un Otrās nedēļas sērijās, var labā nozīmē uzteikt centienus lokalizēto katastrofu atspoguļot plašākā, nacionālā līmenī, kas pietrūka Dead Texas ietvaros. ...great continuation of the Dead America series!!! Lots more action!!! The best part is that you don't have to read any of the prior books before you read this one, unless you want to know how it began!!!! Hope there's a whole lot more books of this series coming!!!!!
