It was just an ordinary day for Jamie until he was attacked by aliens. Then saved by aliens. Then kidnapped by aliens …

The Zill are rapacious and unstoppable, destroying everything in their path with single-minded ferocity. And now they've found Earth, teeming with life just perfect for feeding the insatiable Zill queens as they brood the next generation of Zill.

Jamie wasn't expecting anything more than a boring evening at home until the Zill arrived and all hell broke loose. He is rescued by a beautiful cat-man and wakes up on a strange but oddly familiar world, where he's not only mated to a strange alien man...he's also pregnant?

All Jamie really wants is to go home, but is anybody listening?

The only bright side to this stale, lazy, half-hearted alien sex slave romp is the art cover. Though the most offensive sin in attendence here appears to me to be the pervasive lack of cohesiveness, it comes with a retinue of cardinal blemishes, all of them rooted in crass technical ignorance of the art of writing. While it would be too kind to label whatever alien lore the author thought it necessary to scatter between those covers as cringeworthy in its lack of visual imagination and ill-fittedness, the plot line, which has been done to death and back, is the flimsiest peg on which tepid bedroom scenes hang lowly as so many metaphoric non-human balls, the psychology given to the whole cast befits a kindergarten-level tale, the romance boils down to wholly unexplained lust between the human and its humanoid master with no stakes whatsoever, and zero resolution in terms of relationship and political conflict has intervened by the end of the book. How a would-be writer, no matter how low-brow, could ever feel satisfaction after committing this thingy to a printer, is a sign of present times.

WOW, what a story

Ok, first I have to say that I really hope this is just the beginning of a series. Although the story had a lot of world building to cover so that the plot could flow smoothly, the story line stayed strong the entire time.

The story started with an invasion of an alien scouting party set in taking Earth creatures for food. Another type of alien, hunting the invaders, saved the day, and took Jamie with them. A lot of the story centers around miscommunication due to cultural differences, but there is no real angst.

This story ties up nicely but leaves enough open for several more books that I hope the author will write.

M A Church did this way better... Until the end i couldnt believe this weird romance. They were in lust and nothing else.

Im sorry but in the end he was still a f@&€?toy. Not satisfying... im afraid for the new sarais and there macho sarats. Deleted

Okay, going into this book I knew there would be some level of "slave/lover/forced mating" here. I knew that. But STILL, in previous books I've read usually the MCs have a heart-to-heart where things improve from there. I never felt that happened here. And goddamn, but Alyken (may have spelled his name wrong) was just insufferable. Not letting Jamie learn to read? Not letting him leave the den? Locking his hands together whenever they're in public? Not taking him to a doctor to show him he's preggers? Not telling him he put a tracker in him? Not letting him get involved in politics?

I mean. I'm sorry but that is some next level master/slave sh*t and I am not for that. I don't mind it when the relationship starts off that way and then things improve from there, but that is not the case here.

DNF at 37%. I'd probably not judge this book so harshly if I had not recently read a better (much better) example of human-alien mpreg romance/erotica (Eileen Glass Pykh series - with complex characters, gradual trust building, prevailing miscommunication issues and all). Nevertheless, this was just silly. Any quasi-emphatic, half-intelligent alien should realize being kidnapped and forced to have babies for another alien race is abhorrent, just by imagining himself in the same circumstances. Using chemicals or pheromones or whatever to skip over the big non-consent elephant in the room is just lazy writing (like "we'd given you a shot that made you understand our language").

I love new sci-fi stories, this one combines almost “shifters” with humans and creates a world similar to ours. I really feel like this is going to be a great series if it takes off. I loved Jamie, he was my kind of guy, I am really looking forward to seeing if his brothers get mates. The Naferi are pretty cool, There are few I want stories on, so I hope there will be a sequel soon!

Typical plot development for this genre

While nothing really New for this sort of story (abducted human resentful of his alien lovely captor) it had many amusing interactions between the misunderstanding layouts between species. Enjoyed aliens fascination and pronounced desire and lust for humans. Being that malepreg is
a huge interest for many who read these thing more time and descriptive narrative and explanation could have maxed my enjoyment. Still a!! And all I found it to be a pleasant read and would recommend. Sexual contents were very well written and not that bad.

Emotional Rollercoaster

This book is amazing. The science fiction mixed together with science facts swirled in drama, action and humor will have you is magical emotional rollercoaster. I will be looking forward to reading more from this Author. Jarli Grey's imagination is beyond brilliant and if you are half the sci-fi geek that I am you'll love this book. Even if you're not and you have any interests in science fiction or fantasy you'll appreciate this book. I'll definitely read this book again.

Amazing work Jarli Grey, thank you and please continue to share your work. I'll continue to read it.

Not what I was hoping for

It was just ok for me. There were a little too many grammatical errors for me, and it just didn't go the direction I hoped it would. I wanted this book to be more about Jamie and Alekyn's relationship and the pregnancy, but it was more about politics and the Zill. I wanted Alekyn to treat Jamie better by the end, and instead Jamie just gave up and decided everything was perfect after all. I also am not a fan of characters who are totally into sex with the person who's forced them into a relationship. Not my favorite.

Ugh!

2.5 stars for me. The story was going well but about half way through I almost didn't finish, my biggest problem was the mentality change of the MC thinking I hate the other MC but let's still have lots of sex...just no. I've been kidnapped and you are treating me like a slave but let's have even more sex, I miss my family but let's have sex, you won't explain things to me but still let's have more sex...really?

Very sassy and funny

The main character has a sassy mouth and it's more step by step.
The only reason why they made it to bed so quickly was because they are soul mates if not I would say this would have been a slow burn.
The main character is also taking part in the comical stay at home wife with a sudden arranged marriage mindset.
So I give it a 5 out of 5 especially since the book makes fun of human nature it's self

Sarai

Really enjoyable read, fantastic world building and interesting characters. I liked Jaimy's resolve to not be treated as a submissive slave and his fight to pave the way for human sarai to keep their independent spirit while still making a new family in a new world. I would definitely read more from this author.

Good read

There are some grammatical issues here and there that need fixing. I wish some areas had a few more details to paint a better picture. The ending felt rushed and a cliff hanger so I hope there is more to come.

Great new author

I think I was surprised by the story and didn't expect it to be so good. I'm not generally a sci go fan but this book was well worth the read. I can't wait for another. Hopefully it is the beginning of a series.

Sequel?

I need a sequel. The story was good but the ending didn’t wrap up the way I was hoping. Overall though I did like the story. There was no instalove here, and for much of the book Alekyn and Jaimie were at odds, which was what made this so enjoyable.

I had high hopes for this book, but was disappointed. The author seemed to have lost steam half way through the book, and it was pretty obvious. There were parts that I liked, but overall not my cup of tea. Great concept, but the entire books needs a re-write.
