Tom Gates #15

Monster? Welches Monster?

Rate this book
Katastrophen sind also programmiert ...
Was ist da los? Spukt es in der Schule? Tom ist natürlich in Hochform und lässt keine Möglichkeit aus, seine Umwelt ins Chaos zu stürzen.

I decided that, despite that I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue this series, to grab the latest book and see if it was any good. And it was! This time less of the same and more fun. There is a new festival in town and Tom wants to go! There was also a substitute teacher I didn't like at all. As for why the parents were acting weird, what was up with the noises and happenings at school, what the surprise was from uncle/aunt... I figured that out from the moment it was all mentioned. :P It was just that easy to deduce. Which is kind of a shame.
All in all, I had fun reading this one and also seeing the chalk games they did. While I am not a fan of Marcus yet, I do like that he seems a bit nicer and friendlier in this one.

This book is really funny! Tom wants to go to Oakchella (knock-off Coachella) but the tickets are sold out! Him and his friend, Derek, met a nice lady at the shop on the way to school, and love her dog, Bandit. It turns out, Tom’s other friend, Amy, has a friend that goes to a different school, and knows who the supply teacher is. Mr.Norman, the normal teacher for 5F, us going to a teacher conference.
Also, Marcus, Tom’s aquaintance, is losing his sausage rolls! Who is the supply teacher, and WHO IS EATING THE SAUSAGE ROLLS!!!!

I enjoy reading the Tom Gates books. This one is about that Tom wants to go to a music festival but doesn't get tickets. He goes to his cousins house and gets VIP tickets!

Read- April 2020 for the O.W.Ls (Muggle Studies- Read a book from a muggle perspective)
- I've officially decided to DNF this series. I only started this series because my best friend wanted me to read them but they're just very juvenile.

This book is a comedy and a great comedy book. This book is the recent book in the series and i want more. I loved this book because it is real page turner and you want to read to more. The ending of the book is a really happy and funny ending. I would recommend this to anyone who is felling down and wants to have a laugh or anyone in the world.

I really think that this book is good for years 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and more - all depends on opinion really. I would rate it 4.5 star if I could. I also think that it's a brilliant book to read and that it has a lot of expression and enthusiasm. It's a really fun book to read.

Great book!!

I chose the rating five stars because this book is very funny and enjoyable. I like the fact that it's fun to read because of the graffiti words (is that what you call them?) However I think it could be longer and maybe Tom could be visibly mad at his parents for going to the festival without him, but other than that this book is absolutely EPIC!! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fun and exciting read! 😁 keep up the good work liz!

Mine is a paperback version - ISBN 9781760663537.
Liz Pichon has made an excellent comeback with the latest adventures of Tom Gates in What Monster?
School playground games, a relief teacher who is rather strict, a music festival, a mischievous sausage dog named Bandit and mysterious disappearances of food and other items at school, they're all there - oh, and a school play too.
The plot is somewhat predictable but is quite enjoyable and fresh.
The only downside is that some of the newspaper billboards could have been explained - We are left in the dark about an angry squirrel.
Kids will love this new story of young Tom Gates.

Liz Pichon is back to form with this newest addition to the Tom Gates series. Learn about the rules of "Champ", and Marcus's part in the play. A nice resurrection of newspapers, newsagents and their headlines as well as a cool music festival. Love how the characters find ways of amusing themselves with chalk amongst other things...

While I only really give this book a 7/10, and that there are a couple of annoying characters in this book, I still like this book despite all of the problems (it was the first time I read a tom gates book in a while and it gave me hope for the franchise). Weirdly, I liked Marcus Meldrew much more than Tom Gates in this book, almost like a friend to Tom in some instances (which I don't have a problem with). Overall good but flawed book.

Thia amazing book is all about a boy in year 5 called Tom Gatees who is a master doodler and is assigned a very strict supply teacher while Mr Fullerman or as Tom calls him Mister Fullerbum. At the moment his arch enemy - Marcus is having a hot dog crisis while people keep on stealing it.

The Tom Gates series never disappoints. This time it’s about the school play of Jack and the Beanstalk, the supply cover teacher and her dog, a mysterious incident of Marcus’ lost sausage rolls in school and Oakfield music festival.

I like how Tom gets the best of Marcus without fights or words. He just blocks him out. His doodles always help. Another amazing book. This book was so fantastic. Definitely recommend it if you are looking for a new read.
