I never stood a chance in hell, once he put me in his crosshairs…He claimed me, made me his entirely, then left me, bruised and broken.I left our small town, matured, grew as a person and got over him completely. Then I met another man, a man who respected me, loved me the way a woman deserves to be loved. And that’s when things got complicated. The day I inherited my aunt’s lake house proved to be the beginning of the end, at least for one of us…
This is a well written book with strong characters and a dark story line. The author does a great job pulling you in and not letting go till you reach the end. She does a fantastic job developing the story and describing both the characters and scenes. It's a true page turner that had me from start to finish. I loved and would recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is my first time reading anything by this author and I thought this book was an enjoyable read. It’s the type of book that has you hooked and is a definite page-turner. There are some twists and turns to the story and it is somewhat dark at times. I enjoyed reading the book and shall look out for more from this author.
I read this in one sitting. The author touches on a hard issue..young love trying to please another, willing to do anything for their love. All the while, their soul mate is patiently waiting. Heartache can open ones eyes to painful truths, but sometimes that's the only way we can realize our destiny.
