How Could I Have Made Such A Mess?Waking up naked next to Evan Thomas, threw my life into utter chaos. One, he was my cousin's closest friend. Instead of a passionate rendezvous with the man of my dreams, all I got was a terrible hangover. The entire night made me cringe and sprint in the opposite direction.Unfortunately for me, Evan seemed to be infatuated with my wild side and was convinced that we were meant to be together. As if that wasn't bad enough, his relentless pursuit only intensified as he became more determined to win me over.Only I knew that to entertain the thought of being with him, especially with my protective cousin ready to pounce on anyone who dared hurt me, would spell deep heartache. No thank you.Little did I know, Evan had a bag of tricks up his sleeve that would leave me panting for more and completely at his mercy. But I had a big surprise for him. I had my own set of tricks and fully intended to use it on him.One question which one of us would be the first to succumb?“From the feisty beginning to the swoony end, this author captivated me with this fantastic story!” Harloe Rae, USA Today Bestselling AuthorFrom USA Today bestselling author, A.M. One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, USA Today bestselling author, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she made a quick decision to quit her job and reinvented herself as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.
Reader, Writer, #WalterThePuppy Owner, Dark Chocolate Lover, Ice Cream Worshipper, Vodka Aficionado, Coffee Drinker, she believes coffee and ice cream should be added as part of the USDA food groups.
One Indecent Night is not exactly indecent. It is not BDSM romance either. The sex is hot. But Miss Hargrove focusing more on the family interaction. The story deals with sickness, family and loss. It is not sad story but delightful and gentle.
I like both Ethan and Sylvie. They both cute together. Their chemistry is cute, vulnerable and awesome. I want Ethan to growl more but hey, his growling still works. Some part is dragging, but not annoying.
I was dabbing at my coffee stain when a knock sounded on the door. “Come on in, Grey.” The door opened, and he walked in. “It’s not Grey.” My head jerked up to see Evan standing there. “What are you doing here?” “Sorry for the subterfuge, but I had to find a way to see you. You’re quite stubborn, you know.” “So you lied?” He shrugged. “With permission.” I gawked at him. “What does that mean?” “It means I spoke to Grey first. He said it was okay.” “Oh, my God. You’re both conspiring against me.” “Sweets, I only wanted to return something of yours and you gave me such a hard time of it, this was the only way I knew how.” “What are you talking about?” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a thong. Then the bastard dangled it in front of me. “Recognize this?”
This book was just ok for me. It was dragged on for way too long and a lot of things could have been skipped all together. There were parts I enjoyed, but then there were others (like I said before) that were just there to make the story longer and could have been skipped easily and because of it I really struggled with getting into it and finishing it. I think only my stubbourness got me through parts of it, because I don´t like to not finish a book that I start to read.
I loved the West brothers books and when it was announced that their cousins would be getting their own HEA’s, I was all in and I wasn’t disappointed! Sylvie and Evan’s journey to their HEA was filled with all kinds of goodness ~ even the sniffly, teary sort and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next!
I loved Evan and Sylvie. Evan surprised me. He’s got this laid back vibe going on, but it’s mixed with this intensity that made me want to know more about what made him tick. He can be a little over the top, but once he’s made a decision about something, he’s all in. Sylvie had me cracking up from the very beginning. True, there were moments were moments where she had me wanting to reach out and shake some sense into her, but I loved her sweet, sassy and stubborn heart.
Evan and Sylvie’s journey was definitely not a boring one. Right from the start they had me cracking up, even when they frustrated the hell out of me, I couldn’t help but root for them to work through whatever they had to work through because they really were great together. The up’s and down’s were many, but I loved where they ended up because of it.
I really do love the West clan. They had their issues *cough* Pearson *cough* but it was all done in the name of family and looking out for each other. Catching up with the West brothers, their women and kids (and dogs) was a lot of fun but getting to know Piper and Reynold a little more has me totally looking forward to their books...especially Pipers!

Light hearted ... Funny and a sweet love story ... H was a dream guy ... Too perfect for words ... Read like a fairy tale .... h was quirky and sweet ... Lovely reading ...
ONE INDECENT NIGHT by AM Hargrove is book One in A West Sisters Series. This is the story of Sylvie and Evan. Sylvia has always had a semi-crush on Evan but he was of course a friend of the family along with being a man who likes his women. So when they have a hot encounter at a wedding it sets off Evan to thinking of Sylvie as something more. Sylvia isn't trusting what is going on and its causing her to work to protect her heart. This book has a lot of funny, hot scene along with some emotional ones. Loved this book and can't wait for more from this series and Ms. Hargrove!
I adored every single word of this book. The first few pages had me cracking up and that was all it took for me to fall in love with Sylvie and Evan. Evan was absolutely swoon worthy and Sylvie was awesome. This book was full of feels, it had funny moments, swoon worthy, heart breaking and every other feeling. I can’t wait to see the stories about the sisters.
HOLY HOTNESS ALERT! A.M. Hargrove pulls out all the stops with One Indecent Night!! I'm still fanning myself over here. I'm a HUGE fan of the West Brother novels. Now we get the Sisters! Who's excited? THIS GIRL!
What do you get when you cross a forbidden crush with a few too many drinks? One heck of a steamy hook-up! But what happens when playboy Evan wants more? I just got chills thinking about his sexy alpha voice! Sylvie tries to stay strong, but a girl can only hold out for so long. I don't blame her for caving one bit. Evan's clever tactics are hilarious too.
Don't let the steam factor fool you. This is an emotional journey as well. It wouldn't be a Hargrove romance without plenty of feels. I got one heck of a rollercoaster ride between all the laughing, grumbling, hot flashes, and starry-eyes. You'll see exactly what I mean!
From the feisty beginning to the swoony end, this author captivated me with this fantastic story! Sylvie and Evan are going to melt your heart... amongst other things. One Indecent Night is perfect for anyone looking for a romance to hit all the right spots. SO GOOD!
Evan is such a smart***, “sweets, you would look ready if you had nothing on.” Evan can admit when he's gone too far, “****, I apologize. It’s my take charge demeanor coming through.” I liked this book, I loved Evan. Hargrove has a talent of having her stories flow beautifully.
What a fun read that packed in the romantic comedy that left me laughing out loud and then suddenly threw my emotions into a loop. I loved the banter, steam and just their story. This truly left me with a full heart once again.
The first half was a romance story. Sylvie had gone to the wedding of her cousin and her friend, who had met at a rehab centre Sylvie and her worked at. She got extremely drunk and ended up waking the next morning with her cousin's best friend Evan. Although being attracted to him he had quite the reputation with the ladies and that is not what Sylvie wanted. She played very hard to get and Evan had never worked this hard to get someone to go out with him. In the end his patience won through and she did date him. Could this be real love??? Evan knew it wasn't his money she was interested in as she hadn't a clue who he was or how much he was worth.
Half way through of them getting to know each other Sylvie's mother became very ill and Evan was pulled in as part of the family.
I can't say too much more about the story line as it will give away spoilers!!!
Even though it felt to me like the book had an identity crises going on, I did enjoy it. It was an easy read with good rounded characters. It made me smile, made giggle and made me sad. All in all it was a good book.
I receiveda copy of this book from the pubisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
The day I saw Sylvie West standing next to the breide, something moved in me I was certain had died. I'd known her since she was a pin the the butt kind, but she was my best friend's cousin and off limits. He also told me he would strangel me if I ever laid a hand on her. When she downed tequila like water at the reception, and then danced on the table, all bets were off. She was my kindo f woman, and forbidden or not, I was going to make her mine. Only when morning broke, I woke up to a different Sylvie-one who didn't remember a single thing about the passion-filled night we'd shared. Now, I had to prove I ws the one who was meant for her. After she put up one obstacle after another, the time had come to pull every trick out of my hat. And slyvie had no idea I was one tricky man. But the last thing I expected was for her to turn the tables and play the last trick on me.
This is a enemies to lovers romance. One of my favorite kinds. This series is also a spin off of The West Brothers Novels. However this book is a complete standalone.
Get ready to giggle your butt off at times while reading this book. Evan will have you laughting out loud He is such a smart butt but he still has some serious soon factors going on. Sylive is just an all around amazing person who you could totally see yourself being friends with. I loved these two and their story. This book, while funny and will have you laughing, also has so many other feels going on in it. Your going to be rooting so hard for these two. I do not want to give anything away in this one. I went into it blind and just loved it. If your in themood for a romantic comedy then this is the book for you.
One Indecent Night. Gah! 💙What can I say about this book... Well for starters, I Love A.M.Hargrove! I’m such a fan of the West Brothers books so I was super jazzed about getting to read Sylvie’s story. Now , I don’t know that walking into it I was quite prepared for the emotional rollercoaster I was getting ready to board. Having read it now though ...I would still ride it , over and over again! That’s how good this book is. 💙🖤let me break it down just little and spoiler free for you. What I loved about Sylvie and Evan, is they are both incredibly funny people with amazing senses of humor. When you put them together they are outright hysterical. The “Indecent Night” and the flogging. LOL You will understand that later.😉The banter between these two, their interactions between them and the other supporting characters is amazing. Evan is down-to -earth despite being incredibly rich, and Sylvie is sweet and sassy, essential oil smelling bundle of amazingness. They are perfect for each other. He knows it, even before she does. What I also love is that even though there were a lot of lighthearted and funny moments in this book, the author took us on a ride with lots of “real life moments” too. They were at times very sad and heartbreaking to read , but they were so raw and beautifully written. I think they were necessary for our characters to be fully become who they are and end up where they needed to be! I promise you , really it’s a very small section of the book. While it was was sad , It’s not a like throw your kindles and anti-depressants kinda book. Yay! The funny banter and super sexy, hotter than biscuits and gravy bedroom times, account for far more time than the sad, keeping with the Romcom vibe. I was so invested in all these characters, even the supporting characters. I felt every emotion. I loved them, I hurt for them. I wanted resolution and a happy ending for them.So great job to the author. Now, I cannot wait for Piper’s story! Crossing my fingers for all the rest of the family, then the kids as they come of age🤞🏻 I highly recommend this book. You won’t be sorry. It’s simply amazing!! Happy Reading, Friends 💜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ *I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book.
I want to start off by saying I LOVE Evan!! Like really, really love him. I loved him from page one. He absolutely stole my heart and Slyvie oh sweet, sweet Slyvie you never had a chance up against that man. This book had me smiling, laughing, tearing up, and smiling some more. I honestly don't think there is one thing that I would change about it. The relationship that Evan and Slyvie have and what they build is one of those that I think everyone wants, everyone yearns for. Why? Because it isn't perfect. No one is perfect and I am so glad this author wrote both characters so real, so relatable. And when the going gets tough, they fight and lean on each other. I was so excited to learn that Slyvie who is Pearson's (West Brother book 3) cousin and Evan is his best friend. So these characters are not new to us, however this book can be read as a standalone. My opinion is that you should read all the West Brothers plain and simply because they are all so very good! I'm very much waiting very impatiently for the next installment which is Piper's (Slyvie's sister) book and if the epilogue is any indication as to what we are in for, well lets just say, we are in for a treat.
Reviewed for She’s a Lip Biter Blog Sylvie West and Evan Thomas had known each other years ago however only as acquaintances really, until that situation changed one night at a wedding.
From the beginning I found myself chuckling out loud with the antics of Sylvie and Evan. They have such great chemistry together and are extremely likeable characters, both hard working and caring of others. More fun times are had with other characters as well, especially the scene with Sylvie and her sister, Piper..strange noises. 😂
There are some very poignant scenes which are extremely heartfelt as well as at times heartbreaking. The way this story is written though you find yourself hoping for things to work out for the best and that Sylvie’s sister Reynolds’ ‘Magic unicorn’ really did have magical abilities.
This book is a lot more than just a love story, it is that but it is about the meaning of being a part of family, what happens when life throws you huge curve balls and seeking out what you truly want.
I was so excited to see the start to this series! A spin off from the West brothers?!? Sign me up!
Ms. Hargrove delivers yet again with this moving, heartfelt and smexy story!
This is Sylvie and Evan's story.
One indecent night was the start of something amazing!
Sylvie is an amazing heroine, strong yet vulnerable. She is careful yet adventurous, in a word, she is brilliant!
Evan is just swoony! He finds what he is didn't know he was looking for in Sylvie and he refuses to let her go. I loved his determination and dedication to her.
Evan & Sylvie's chemistry is electric and so wowza!
This story is going to give you all the feels! I laughed, I cried and I fell in love all over again. I couldn't put this story down until the end and then I wanted more!
It was fantastic to see past characters make an appearance and reading about some new characters made me excited to see what Ms. Hargrove has in store for us readers next!
This is the perfect introduction to a brand new series! Well done Ms. Hargrove!
Insatiable attraction during the best mind blowing “sexacapade” one night stand!!!! I have read many of A.M. Hargrove’s amazing books but this one is definitely in the top 3 🥰 Evan Thomas is one the sexiest, wealthiest, youngest and self made bachelor in financial industry. He keeps a low profile about his wealth. He’s been burned in the past because of it. All bets are off when he is approached by a beautiful and slightly Inebriated spitfire named Sylvie West during her cousin Pearson’s wedding reception. Evan is Pearson’s best friend and basically “threatened” Evan to stay away from Sylvie. Pearson is way too aware of Evan’s playboy ways in the past. Sylvie is ashamed but turned on by Evan’s attempts to persuade her after the one night stand. Once she decides to give him a chance, the pages practically burn up with all those naughty fantasies to explore each other’s bodies!!!! Absolutely amazing book 💕
I fell for Evan and Sylvie’s story with the very first page and got my first hearty laugh there, too. Their story is highly emotional with hilarious banter and dialogs as well as lots of drama. But even in all this drama there are sparks of humor to brighten the mood and to lighten the heaviness of the protagonists’ and readers’ reality. There are so many ups and downs it is baffling at times. The depth of the characters could not be surpassed, their personalities are multi-layerd and full of different facets. They are vivid and comprehensible and sparkling with life.
I loved this story and Ms. Hargrove has surpassed herself once more. I can not wait to read more about the West Sisters.
I loved everything about this story and did not want it to end. The West family are some of my favorite characters so it was great to catch up and meet new ones that I instantly loved. She always pulls every emotion out of me with her words and this story was no different. I was laughing, cursing and crying throughout this book. Sylvie was put through the ringer on many levels and Evan became her calm that she desperately needed. One read that you do not want to miss and need to put on your TBR list. Highly recommended.
I loved every single word of Evan and Sylvie's story. It was a little sad but also funny and sweet at the same time.
When Sylvie wakes up the morning after her cousin's wedding next to his hot and sexy best friend Evan she has little recolection of how they ended up together. With Evan's help things quickly fall into place and its obvious for Evan it's not just a one off, if only Sylvie felt the same. Evan is about to have is work cut out if he's going to win Sylvie's heart.
A great page turner of a story and I'm looking forward to reading Piper's story next.
One night of drunken passion after a wedding leads Sylvie and Evan on a romantic and heart warming friends to lovers tale. Can one night really change your life forever? I fell in love with these characters from the opening pages of the book and through laughter and a few tears the story just got better and better. True love really can come out of nowhere. I cannot wait for the other books in this series. A must read that I highly recommend.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Sylvie and Evan’s story. Sylvie was off limits to Evan that was until one night she di something out of character and he decided she would be his. But what happens when the light of the next day comes and she acts like it never happened. Can he get her to fall for him like he fell for her? She makes him work for it but he decided he would stop at nothing to have her. Can he pull out all the stops and get her for himself or was she paying him all along? Will they have each other or be alone in the end?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I love the West brothers series and I didn't realise initially that Sylvie is the cousin of the West brothers. It's great to revisit the West family, these are my favourite books to read. This can be read as a standalone but I suggest you read the rest of the West brothers as they are all a fantastic read. I look forward to reading more about Piper which I believe is the next book in the series.
I absolutely love everything about the West Family. Every last one of the is just amazingly supportive, funny and true. Sylvie and Evan are no exception. :)
They were so good for each other, what started as a explosion became a love the burned even brighter. Devotional is a perfect description.

~ 5 Giddy Up Cowboy Stars ~
Well Ms. Hargrove has done it again. She gave us an AMAZING book that I didn’t want to put down.
One Indecent Night started out as a fun and easy read, but I should’ve known better, after reading all her other books, just when you are comfortable, she knocks you with an emotional punch. I think I spent the last 1/4 of the book in tears. Some happy and some sad. But in the end I had a overwhelming feeling of happiness and contentment.
I loved the West Brothers, who we met in From Ashes to Flames, From Ice to Flames and From Smoke to Flames. The West Brothers Series. Now we get the West Sisters Series. This is a complete standalone series and will follow the girl cousins of the West Brothers. I don’t believe that the West Brothers series has to be read to enjoy this book, but let me tell you if you do read this book, you WILL WANT to go back and read about the West Brothers. I dare you not to fall in love with all the West characters.
One Indecent Night is a standalone novel that is told in Dual POV. I thought the storyline was fantastic and was thoroughly enjoyable. I laughed while reading this story, but I also cried. This book will hit all of your emotions. The pace and flow of this story was spot on. I didn’t want it to end. I will say I loved the epilogue and how Ms. Hargrove set up the story of the next book in this series.
In this story we follow Sylvie and Evan. We met them at the end (epilogue) of From Smoke to Flames. They are attending the wedding of a West Brother. This book starts off right where that epilogue ended. It is one crazy night between Evan and Sylvie. What we get after that is the story of their journey to a HEA. There are some ups and downs, but it was great to see them get through them together. I loved the banter between Evan and Sylvie. Sylvie was a riot. She had me cracking up a lot. I thought these characters truly complimented each other. They are truly a match made in heaven!!! If you are a romance fanatic, you are going to fall in love with Evan. He was simply AMAZING!!!
I loved catching up with the West Brothers and their wives. But I also loved getting to know the West Sisters. I look forward to reading more about Piper and then Reynolds.
I would 100% recommend this book to all A.M. Hargrove fans and romance readers out there. I think this West Sisters are going to give the West Brothers a run for their money for the number one spot in my heart. This was a great start to this spin off series. Make sure to add it to your TBR list ASAP!!!!
I absolutely loved this story and I am completely in love with the entire West family! This story starts off with a bang. I was laughing picturing drunk Sylvie and her crazy antics and the things she was doing to Evan. Absolutely hilarious. Besides the laughs, I also shed a few, okay a lot, of tears while reading this story.
Evan is best friends with Pearson West, you can read his story in From Smoke to Flames. You also get an introduction to Sylvie in that story. Though One Indecent Night can be read as a complete standalone. Him and Sylvie meet at the wedding of Pearson and Rose, though they have known each other forever.
Their chemistry was perfect, though their story was full of some many ups and downs when it came to their relationship. Evan was instantly attracted to Sylvie and knew that there was something different about her, someone that allowed him to let his walls down. Sylvie really wanted nothing to do with Evan, but his persistency paid off in the end and slowly started to win her over.
The banter between Evan and Sylvie is fantastic. I loved Sylvie when she was first introduced in Pearson’s book and fell in love with her even more in this story. She is a fantastic character. Evan, that man is hardcore swoon worthy. He’s gorgeous, adventurous, loving, caring, and super sweet. Though I seriously wanted to slap the man at a certain point in the story (you’ll figure out where if you’ve read it) but his reaction also makes complete sense given his past.
If you’ve read the West Brother’s series they brothers and their wives make appearances and it is fun to see more of those characters again. I love Sylvie’s sisters, Piper and Reynolds, and I can’t wait for more of the West sisters.
This book is funny, emotional, sweet and steamy. I can already tell I'll love the West Sister's as much as I loved the West Brothers.
I’m a true lover of the West family and when I heard we were getting the girls of the West family stories I was giddy with joy!! And what a way to kick off this series than with Sylvie and Evan! They had a fabulous time at Pearson and Rose’s wedding, at least from what Sylvie can remember anyway, and Evan isn’t about let this girl get away no matter what he has to do to convince her they’re meant to be!
I absolutely love, love, love Evan Thomas. He’s an Alpha but in a very classy way if that’s possible. He’s sexy, rich, doesn’t let anyone or anything stop him from getting what he wants and in this case Sylvie is the woman for him. Poor Syl doesn’t know what to do with herself because while she’s very attracted to him, he’s her cousin’s best friend and doesn’t want that relationship to be affected if they don’t workout.
These two are so perfect for each other. I think they balance each other…. Evan is a man that has worked hard for his wealth and Sylvie is a counselor at Flower Power, and I love how she doesn’t want his riches, she wants him as a man that can love her for who she is and not change her. There were times in this book that I was chuckling out loud one minute and the next I’d be fanning myself because these two know how to have some hot and sexy times…thanks to Syl’s romance novels for one!
There’re also some moments in this book that I truly wasn’t expecting and it made me tear up and I so related with some of what was going on. It showed the strength of not only Evan and Sylvie but their families as well.
Overall, this first book in the West Sisters series delivered big time and I’m so excited to see what Ms. Hargrove has in store for Piper. I know for a fact that I’ll be first in line to have that beauty on my kindle and shelf because I NEED all her words with me all the time!!
