If you have been following along with Cully, and I hope that you have, you may have noticed they can be read in almost any order. Each story is a separate adventure. Cully is a bounty hunter and very good at what he does. Moreover, he hates injustice. Returning home after a very successful venture, he stops in Montrose his friend, Sheriff Jim Solomon and Jim's wife, Gen. Gen and Cully have a history, but that is a story for a different book. Walking out of the store, the sheriff is killed in a targeted attack. Cully is made an acting Deputy Sheriff and vows to find whoever is behind the shooting. Gen isn't going to allow him to go hunting without her and this involves a lot of action!
Cully is an exciting individual and his exploits ranks above all the rest. There is always plenty of evil and Cully is a master when it comes to settling everything as expeditiously as possible. If you have never read one of Cully' s outstanding adventures then this one is as good as any to start with!
Never read a Cully adventure that wasn't five stars worthy, and this being on of the best, that's why I awarded it the five stars. As always, this is another action packed series of great great American western folklore adventures that is worthy of your time and effort to follow. It is one adventurous excursion after the other and the compassionate storylines successfully describes how our western frontier was finally established. The characters were definitely befitting of their assigned roles, and the author's outstanding descriptiveness of each and every episode certainly touches your heartstrings from beginning to end. Definitely recommend this compassionate story to all western folklore lovers, and even to all of you who's normal reading format may not involve the western genre. I can assure all of you, who may chose to read this story, will be as impressed as I have been with Mr. Slade's impressive writing performances as I have always been!

This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
The best written book of Cully's Bounty Hunting Days. The characters were more vivid and better detailed than in the past. I liked the ending especially with the question as to who really was Cully's soulmate. I am looking forward to the next book and I'm glad that I chose to follow the author. I will recommend Orris Slade to all my friends. Not all guns and bravado, but a good story.
A great read. Fully is a ma who stays %focused on the job at hand. Common sense and raw nerves steel Cully's resolve to set things right. Not cold a blooded killer, Cully accomplished his .mission with a calculated sense of fair play. Almost to a fault.
So Cully does it again. He finds a very bad situation, checks it out and then sets about making things right. Orris, please work on those ambiguous sentences...
