One of the team is dying and there is only one person who can help. She's in Louisiana--the last place he wants to go back to. No matter how much he rushed he was too late. She was gone. Died moments before he arrived. Her young great-granddaughter was there and he wanted to comfort her. She was beautiful, carefree, and fighting her pain.
Savanna had only her grand-mere and her animals from the no-kill shelter she ran. Now she was alone with the psychic skills inbred and honed with her grand-mere's tutelage. Could she help his co-worker? As an empath, he could help share her pain.
A strange pairing they are more than attracted. He can't let his personal feelings interfere. This is his job. She can't let these feelings in with her loss so recent.
