In this book Nikki Dean propels our favorite feisty mermaid out of the water and into the the arms of a young, hot king.
We the reader are in for a treat watching our heroine literally stand on her own two feet while on a journey to find her beloved little sister. Through a run in with the law, a crazy chase and a lucky drop Celeste goes from being a fish out of water to the inner sanctum of the royal palace, aka the kings bedroom! All without saying one word.
I liked this book (and it's companion "The Little Mermaid: a Frisky Fairy Tale" ) because our mermaid is no damsel and is more than willing to rescue herself to achieve her goals. As with all Nikki Dean's heroines Celeste is a force of her own and is enjoyable to watch overcome the difficulties of living out of the sea.
I recommend you check out all the Frisky Fairy Tales and enjoy Nikki Dean's strong, sexy characters overcome issues and fall in love.

The long-awaited sequel!

Finally, this was highly anticipated by me! I am happy the author finally published the sequel of her little mermaid book. So, this is the second book and it is not a standalone!

So, this book continues were the last book left off with Celeste and her new legs! She desperately has to figure out where exactly her sister has been taken to. So this is basically how she reacts to the human world. Sometimes, her reactions were downright funny! You can tell how much she is totally a fish out of water *giggles* The only problem is, she cannot speak! I don’t want to spoil anymore you have to read this book in order to find out what happens to her!! She will stop at nothing to get to her sister!

Sam,well, this was more of Celeste’s book.. but, He was quite charming and very gentleman like. Especially the way he cares for both of the sisters while also taking care of his kingdom. It was very romantic of how he was trying to sort out his feelings over Celeste even though he’s never heard her voice before. He was just such a sweetheart and, wow, I think every girl deserves a man like him!

Oh, also some very familiar characters show up again! I was happy to see them again and how they react to Celeste! This was a perfect blend of adventure, comedy, and of course suspense whenever the time comes. I wish the book was somewhat longer because I did not want it to end because I love these characters so much. I highly await the third book!

This is book 7 of Frisky Fairy Tales series, the second of the Little Mermaid mini series, and it is a great retelling of a classic fairytale. Whilst it can be read as a standalone story mini series, you'll get a lot more out of it if you've read the previous books - the Beauty and the Beast mini-series (which makes up books 1-4), and the Little Red Riding Hood Story (book 5) - as there's lots of crossover references with characters and events. There are graphic adult scenes in this book, so be prepared for them, though you can skip over them if you want. This was a gripping read which I loved and highly recommend, and I really am glad that we are seeing more of Sam (Beast's brother). I'm just disappointed I have to wait now for the next book to be released!!

This was a little clunky with things that weren’t explained very well but I enjoyed this take on an old story.
