Great grammar reference, but I don’t see anyone with a busy life actually completing it in 3 months. It took me more than that, and I had previously completed a book on Brazilian Portuguese. This book is definitely very comprehensive, and I’ve filled in a lot of gaps. Amongst the Portuguese self study books, this one provides the most in depth treatment of the subjunctive mood, and it finally made it click for me

This is the best primer I've seen, so far. Quite apart from the popular ones, which teach you how to order coffee by reading the order out of the book, this book clearly puts out the grammar and builds vocabulary in small spoonfulls.

Finally, it doesn't tie itself into knots with Brazilian Portuguese. Things are decidedly Portuguese Portuguese with this book. And the blue colour scheme of the cover is better than Hugo's red French or sickly yellow Spanish. Good show.
