When a stranger arrives in the Crafty Trout Tavern, looking for Captain Catnip, no-one suspects any trouble. But trouble arrives with a capital T, and Captain Catnip is up to his whiskers in it!
He’s been forced to sail with Captain Alvaro Grande. Grande wants to capture the legendary creature called the Kraken and only Captain Catnip has the skills to sail into its lair. Jack and his uncle Silver and the rest of the crew are in hot pursuit.
Flying cannonballs, a lonely ghost, sneaky seagull and a cat overboard, are just some of the action in this next episode of adventurer Jack Scratch. Full colour illustrations and tons of fun and danger await young readers. You might even learn some pirate songs!
