Depravity is book one in the King University series by Jacob Chance. I FINALLY read my very first Jacob Chance book and I ended up loving it! I chose this series to start with because I love the genres involved. This one is professor/student, age gap and forbidden romance. This can be read as a complete stand alone.
Professor Miles Decker spent ten years with his wife. Until she left him for his best friend, and signed over complete custody to him of their nearly three year old son, Joey. She wanted out of the marriage and out of motherhood. She left behind a man broken and floundering to be both mom and dad to his son. It’s been a year now since she left him. Miles is teaching a summer class three nights a week and needs a baby sitter. His sister recommends someone to him that needs the money. So into his life comes Sophie Gardner.
Sophie is nineteen years old. She took a year off after high school to work and save money for college. She is working full time at a book store during the day but when her boss tells her about a babysitting job that pays really well for the summer, she jumped on it. At their first meeting, Miles came off as rude and arrogant. You could tell, though, that he was completely devoted to his son. She could endure his dark personality for the money he was paying her. But by the second visit, when she saw him smile, it changed everything.
“I listened to my heart once before and look where it got me. This time I’m leading with my head and I’m going to make the right decisions for both myself and Joey, before it’s too late.”
Miles is thirty three years old. He feels like a dirty old man for some of the thoughts he’s been having about his new baby sitter. The more they get to know each other, though, he realizes that she is more mature than most women his own age. She’s an old soul. And she’s very obviously feeling the same attraction to him as he is feeling towards her.
“Sometimes the one is only for a brief time, not forever.”
Miles and Sophie agree to give in to their attraction just until the end of the summer, until Sophie leaves for college. Then it’s over. Sophie’s college education is important to her and Miles wants her to get the full experience of college life, not waste it hanging out with an old man and his son. When the time comes, though, it’s harder than either of them thought. Because that attraction they shared has grown into something much bigger, into love. Both Miles and Sophie are struggling to accept life without the other, until the first day of school, Sophie’s very first class as a college student, when she hears a very familiar voice, a voice that haunts her days and nights. “Good morning class, my name is Professor Decker.”
I loved this book! These two had everything against them from day one. And I admit that Sophie really is very mature for her age. She knows what she wants and she doesn’t hesitate to go after it. And she’s amazing with little Joey. The chemistry and the sexy times between these two were scorching hot. And I loved the effect she had on Miles. Showing him he can trust again, and bringing laughter into his life. Miles can’t lose his job, though. He has to provide for his son. And Sophie can’t sacrifice her education. But life without the other is more painful than either of them could have imagined.
There are plenty of fun secondary characters here. I loved Miles two new faculty friends who I figured out will be the main characters of the next two books. I do plan to directly go on to the next book, Devilry, by Marley Valentine. I can’t wait to get started.

I felt a disconnect with this book.
I'm not sure it was not connecting with the author's writing style, not connecting with either character, or not feeling any type of connection between them...or it could've just been a combination of all those things 🤷🏻♀️
With how many books I have on my tbr list, I didn't feel like even pushing myself to the 30% point like I usually do before adding it to my dnf shelf -- I just wasn't feeling it.
A few of my GR friends seemed to really enjoy this, so it very well could be a me thing and not the book too...
Oh well! On to the next 😘

WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!
That single, and not at all sufficient, word was on repeat in my mind as I read this book. Truthfully, forbidden romance isn't typically my thing. But this book is most definitely MY THING!! I LOVED it!! It’s impossible for Jacob Chance not to give his all while writing a book. Jacob’s writing just keeps getting better with each book he puts out and Depravity takes the cake. So much different and unique to what we have come to expect from him but in the best possible way. It blew all my expectations out of the water and swear I felt EVERY emotion these characters felt while reading it.
Miles and Sophie were amazing! I loved their individual characters and I loved them together. I swooned pretty hard over the pair of them. The story, the chemistry and the cover all had me completely engaged. Both characters were lovable, and there were some great moments that tugged at the heartstrings. I know I’m being vague but honestly, this story gave me all the feels and then some. Every touch between Miles and Sophie was forbidden in one form or fashion. But that makes every moment they share together more thrilling and sexy, and even more intense. That intensity comes with a reality that neither was prepared for and sets off a domino effect in their lives.
This isn’t your regular student/teacher romance. At least to me it wasn’t. The deep connection these two characters possessed was just mind blowingly potent. I couldn’t put it down. Then add in the single father dynamic and you've got a winner all around. In fact, one of the high points of this story for me was seeing the special moments and interactions between father and son and with Sophie too. It was these moments that gave this book that much more and feeling. Everything from the cover to the story within the pages, this book defines captivating!
Depravity is your next book hangover. It really is something else. The sexual tension in this book is INSANE. Jacob masterfully interweaves innocent butterflies with searing white-hot sensual heat.
I loved these characters, I loved their story and I loved that Jacob Chance wrote it. With the perfect balance of character development, story development and hot but classy scenes it fulfills every romance readers dreams. I can only highly recommend reading this book. FIVE PAGE MELTING STARS.

You can never go wrong with a Jacob Chance book. The sudent-teacher genre is my kryptonite, and I knew if anyone could do it well, Mr. Chance could. He did not disappoint. I highly recommend.

It was an ok read. Single dad and the babysitter. Then it turns to professor/student. It wasn’t bad, but there wasn’t enough tension for me. As long as it was it needed the tension and I just didn’t feel it.

WOW. AMAZING. FANTASTIC. EMOTIONALLY PERFECT.
Jacob Chance’s stories always wow me, always amaze me, always put a smile on my face at the end but in Depravity... he took all those thing to a whole new level and it was writing perfection. As soon as I started reading I was captivated and needed more. It’s pure sexual tension and taboo at its finest.
You meet Sophie and Miles. Miles is a single dad raising his nearly three yr old son, Joey.
Sophie works for Miles’s sister and was recommended for babysitting. Now Miles is very guarded, set in his ways, kind of gives the jerk vibe but he has his reasons. The one main concern in his life is his son.
Sophie, I love Sophie, she is full of life, excited about the next chapter of her life and best of all has a sassy spirit.
They both feel it but they both fight it. Yes, I’m talking about the mega attraction you feel as your reading. Jacob writes these characters so well you can feel their emotions off the pages with them. What happens when you can’t fight the inevitable? It’s a classic the heart wants what the heart wants no matter how much you fight it.
This story brings all the emotion and it was so perfect for the start of The King University series. It just makes me that much more excited for the next two. I wish I could give more then 5 stars because it was 10 to me. I definitely recommend this book, It was amazing!

A must, MUST read for forbidden romance lovers and by far, my favorite book by this author!!
Jacob Chance really got me hot and bothered by this book, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! The sweet yet sizzling, off the charts, and slow burning chemistry between Miles and Sophie MADE. ME. SWOON. I could not, COULD NOT, not love them.
They were both such lovable and enjoyable characters!
I loved all of the moments that were shared together, especially the tender ones! Every shared moment between them was forbidden and delicious! GAH! It made me completely eager, thrilled, and needy for every stolen sexy, intense moments between them.
I was completely captivated and held on strong to their sexual, explosive chemistry! What really, really had me was the filthy, dirty, and weak in the knees talk by Miles! When it got there, IT GOT THERE! Goodness, I often wondered... how did I even survive this book? I swear, my Kindle was burning up because of all the heat and attraction levels AND then some.
My mind continuously went on a loop from OMG, OMG, ohh my to AWW and completely swoon-mode because of how carnal, fuckhot Miles was while simultaneously being sweet, sentimental, thoughtful, and caring. You NEED this book, NEED!
The push and pull, the banter, the friendship, and the way that both Miles and Sophie try to fight off the attraction they have towards each other made me keep on turning the pages!! Chance truly writes these characters with a depth, that you could not help but feel the emotions and irresistible need between the both of them!

And these two are in for the taking!!
Also, add in the cutie, little Joey and you’ll be SO sold!! You can’t help but fall in love with this little guy!! I loved the interactions between him and Sophie, they made my heart skip beats! And Miles with his dad duties? OH MY PANTIES!

What a story! Miles, Sophie and Joey are characters that instantly come to life within the first few chapters. We’re witness to the building romance of age gap and a single father romance that is a non stop page turner. Sophie knows what she wants and has her goals in view, Miles has his focus on one particular person only, Joey. Seeing the kind of father this man is will have you falling for him instantly. Events that take place have you gasping and have you nipping at the bit to see what happens next. I throughly enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend you one click.

5 FORBIDDEN ROMANCE STARS!!!
Forbidden romance GOLD! It was the trifecta of taboo! A must read for all forbidden romance lovers! But also for anyone who just loves a great romance. I LOVED IT!!! My absolute favorite book by this author. It was EVERYTHING you want from a taboo romance and more. He created characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and wish for their HEA!
Miles was a single dad to his adorable son Joey, left bitter by an ugly split from his ex. He’s a wonderful father to his son which makes him endearing enough to overlook his propensity for acting like a jerk when he’s pissed. And he’s a sexy professor.
Sophie is a total rule follower and a hard worker. She spends her time running from one job to another to save up for college, that starts in a couple of months. She’s also sassy and has a backbone, so don’t try and push her around.
Miles needed a babysitter to care for his son and Sophie needed another job, so as luck would have it, these two came into eachother’s lives. Employee/employer, he was quite a bit older and it was about to get a whole lot more complicated. Can you say taboo?
The banter is awesome. The attraction is irresistible. And when they finally stop resisting one another, it’s the stuff of dirty, sexy fairytales!!! And how could you not fall in love with Joey too! Miles was lonely and didn’t even know it. Sophie wanted him even though she shouldn’t. You can’t decide who you fall in love with. Maybe it was just meant to be.

First off I want to say I loved Depravity and Jacob Chance still reigns as the King of Sexual Tension. He is bringing the taboo side out to play, babysitter and student/teacher! This book feels more mature and evenly paced. I think it's his best yet, each new book I see so much more growth from this author.
Miles and Sophie's story is one of not being able to help who you fall in love with. Age is just a number and shouldn't matter when it comes to love, even if it's frowned upon. The heart wants what it wants.
I love how Mr. Chance choose to go the single father route, because I haven't come across many (there's probably more than I can think of). Sure the babysitter is a sub-genre that may be over played at times but the way it's written pulls you in and has you wanting to know what happens next.
If Mr. Chance's intro to the Kings University series sets the bar I can't wait to see what Marley Valentine and Remy Blake have up their sleeves. This may very well be my newest favorite series! One click this baby and check it out for yourself!

Forbidden romances are my favorite trope and this teacher/student story has definitely been added to my list of favorites! Miles and Sophie's story was extremely delicious and yet touching and heart warming at times as well. Sophie is extremely mature for her age and it was so refreshing to see her handle a relationship with an older man, at times better than said older man! One thing that I haven't read much of in this particular trope is the single father twist which made for some of the sweetest scenes ever and I hope we get to see glimpses of these characters in the future! This was my first read by Jacob Chance, but certainly won't be my last!

Wow! Jacob has really done it with another great book. I enjoy reading forbidden romances especially when they're like this one. Miles and Sophie's story was really beautiful. Lots of steamy stuff along with the well meaning things too.

Their story gave me all the feels and I never wanted it to end because I was head over heels in love with them! Although this story could be considered a forbidden romance because of their age gap and the fact that he did happen to be one of her college professor. However, do be apprehensive about reading this story if you are usually against forbidden romances because trust me you are going to love ever second of Miles and Sophie...oh and let's not forget the sweet and adorable Joey. That little man completely stole my heart!
Now that I have devoured this story, I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of the standalone books in the King University series!

Wowsers, where do I even begin? Jacob Chance has brought the heat and all feels with this one. Depravity is filled with banter, sexual tension and humor. Miles and Sophie sizzle together and I kinda miss them a little bit already.
My jaw dropped in the prologue with Miles' ex Sandy, it's been a while since I've wanted to hurt a fictional character, and she had me raging.
All in all, I loved this story and I look forward to the next installment.

Wow! I have read many of Mr Chance's books but this one really blew me away. I could not put it down! I fell in love with every single character in this book, it was just so well written. It's the perfect start to this series.
This book is a slow burn, but sexy read. The dirty talk..**fans myself** The cuteness overload being Joey. Everything about this book was just perfect for me! I love a good forbidden romance, as well as an age gap romance! Sophie and Miles together were just perfect. Their banter was delightful, they had the perfect chemistry. Don't get me started on Sandy though...
I can't wait to see what else this series has in store for us, and I seriously can not wait to see what Mr Chance has for us next. This book is a must read and definitely shows why he is one of my favourite male authors.

This book’s title couldn’t be more perfect! It is jam packed with so much heat you’ll need a cold shower and extra panties! Depravity is a bit different than what Jacob typically releases. I love that he went more risqué but not over the top and kept true to the Jacob Chance writing we are used to! Humor, awesome banter, a touch of angst, and did I mention steamy scenes between a hot dad/professor and the babysitter/student! We get double the ‘taboo’ which makes this 5 star read double the fun! I highly recommend this awesome read!

This is a fun book to read. I enjoyed the older man younger woman setting. It was well written and hot enough to keep you interested. Highly recommend.

This is a forbidden romance between an older man and younger student! One of my favorite tropes! It was amazingly written and the plot had me wanting more.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning right up to the very last page.
This was jacob chance best book yet and by far the best book ive read this year.

I dont normally read about teacher and student relationships but i took a chance on this book. Im glad i did.
Miles is a professor and is a single father to a 3 year old boy.
Joey is one adorable little boy.

Sophie is a 20 year old girl about to start university. She works in a book store that is owned by miranda. Who is miles sister.
Sophie ends up being joey babysitter. How they met was funny. Miles was locked out of his house. Its was funny in some parts and in other parts it was frustrating. Its was hot and sizzling.
The trials they go through to keep their relationship a secret is hard. It was worth everything jacob puts you through in this book. What a ride. Phenomenal book.
I highly recommend this book you wont be disappointed.

Holy hotness! This book is one of my favorite student/teacher romances I’ve ever read! I had to force myself to put it down so I could get some kind of sleep last night!! Jacob Chance shows a different side to his writing ability and I am just in awe. I absolutely loved Depravity.

After Miles’ life is upended, he’s determined to make the best of things, beginning with making sure his baby boy never lacks for love and support. When his sister finds him a baby sitter, he’s pretty hardnosed about the rules, even if she does make him have inappropriate thoughts. However, as he slowly gets to know Sophie, he sees her for the mature, dedicated woman that she is and attraction becomes so much more.
Sophie has worked hard to get into King University. This last summer she needs to make enough money to serve her throughout the next year so she can dedicate herself to her studies alone. Getting involved with not only an older man, but the father of the little boy she takes care of, is not in the plans. But soon she’s not only changing her plans, she wants to expand them. If only it were that easy.
I loved this trio of characters. Miles and Sophie were so good together despite the age difference. She was a mature heroine with mature goals and focused on her future. Her interactions with Joey, Miles’ son, was so freaking adorable as were any times Joey was in the scene. Miles was a wonderful hero who had been misused and yet was still able to open his heart up to Sophie despite the inevitable end.
”And I know in another time and place I’d never let her go. But I love Sophie enough to do what’s best for her. Even if I’ll break my own heart in the process.”
The student/teacher aspect doesn’t really kick in until much later in the book which ushers in a good bit of angst along with it. And that angst just about killed me! FYI: King University really doesn’t play a large part of the plot. Personally, I was okay with that. The pace is fast and the heat is HOT. I was aggravated every time I had to set this one aside and was trying to sneak in a page here and there whenever I could. This is my first book by this author and I’m looking forward to checking out the other book(s) in this series!

I really enjoyed this slowburn, single dad read. Miles is a jaded single dad focused on his son. Sophie is the college student needing extra cash. Her part time job turns into a seriously hot summer fling & then so much more.
I loved their banter and the slowburn feel of the book. I really enjoyed the supporting characters in the story & was guessing which ones we were introduced to would be making an appearance in the other books. Great read!

Forbidden Romance? Yes, PLEASE!!
What a way to start off a series!!! Professor and the Nanny, the R rated version. I love a good taboo romance, and what's more taboo than an age-gap, student/teacher, Single father/nanny book. However this wasn't a good book, it was FANFREAKINGTASTIC!! I mean this book was giving me L.I.F.E. I loved Miles and Sophie, and little Joey. It was a little angsty in parts, and I was screaming "just go with the flow" at certain characters. But what's an epic love story without a little drama or controversy. There's only one part I think the story could have done without, but mainly cause it made me want to slap a skank, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment.
I also love how Jacob brings a piece of his other books into all his stories, be it a full-blown cameo or just an honorable mention, it makes it feel a connected like.
I cannot wait to read Devilery, Marley Valentine's book, next. Way to kick off a series on a high note Mr.Chance. A definite must read book, better yet series period. #2019MustReadBookAndSeries

Depravity!
I really enjoyed this book. Sophie was a breath of fresh air you couldn't help but love her. Miles came off as an a$$hole at first but when he finally let's Sophie in sparks fly. This story flowed well and the characters were believable. This was my first Jacob Chance novel and it won't be my last.

Jacob took 2 tropes and wrote a beautiful story. This book is different from his other books, but the heat, and camaraderie between the characters that works so well in all of his books were still there. You will swoon, LOL, feel the heat, and shed some tears throughout this book. It is absolutely his best writing to date. I definitely have to applaud Jacob for the way he wrote Joey's character (Miles' son). It was ON POINT. His dialogue fit his age throughout the book, and that doesn't always happen when kids are part of a book. Miles is a hot single dad Professor. Sophie is a sweet hardworking college student, and Joey is just adorable. The characters and story were well developed. Add in all of the side characters with their own fun personalities, and you will fall in love with this book.

I have read every book Jacob has written and each new read gets better and better, he definitely knows how to write the sexy, but this one is forbidden in every sense of the word. I know we always want what we can't have, but can we handle it once we get it. Sophie and Miles are a great look at what forbidden can be, they are sexy, cautious and wild. Joey is too cute for his own good and Miles is a great father, trying to juggle his career as a college professor, while being a single dad. Sophie is young, but is far from naive and gives as good as she gets. I cried in the beginning and also laughed, Jacob is good for that with his characters, he knows how to connect the reader to the characters and makes you feel like you really know them. Love that about him. This is a definite must read.
