Will Bradshaw knows his goblins can be hard to deal with. Dirty, troublesome and a tad crazy, few people get along with them. That makes it a pleasant surprise when the one race on Other Place who actually respects goblins sends a representative. But this is no social call. Their guest brings word that a dire threat that many thought lost never to return is about to rise up from the ocean depths, Sarcamusaad the Walking City. Few could hope to survive against this titanic being, much less defeat him. Sarcamusaad is preparing to march across the continent on a mission of vengeance, leaving a trail of untold devastation through four kingdoms, including the Kingdom of the Goblins.Facing Sarcamusaad is going to take strength, skill, magic, wisdom and other traits rare among goblins, forcing Will to seek help from new friends and old allies. Great as the risk is, it becomes greater still when some see Sarcamusaad’s arrival not as a danger but an opportunity. With enemies on all sides, what chance does Will have?
William's character development was awesome, as usual. This story didn't really feel like a series finale, so it leaves me with some hope that more will come one day. I love this series so much I bought the paperback set for my children to read. Now on to see what other great works you've written Oh, and as usual, Mr Niff proves he's the coolest goblin ever!
This is, without a doubt, the peak of modern literature. The poetic and wonderful descriptions of cheese, frogs, and other obscure objects is what makes these books all 5 stars. The beautifully stupid jokes are another key factor, and I would recommend these books the same way I would recommend breathing.
I love this series SO MUCH! 10/10 recommend. Humor. Awesome characters. Fantasy action. Thoughtful and clever storylines. Did I mention laugh-out-loud funny?? Sooo much fun and just so, so good! Fabulous series!
An awesome new installment in the William Bradshaw series! Plenty of humor and goblin chaos, mixed with a dangerous new adventure and moments of deep insight. It's great to see more of how Will's adventures so far have been affecting Other Place, and people's attitudes towards him, and it's awesome to see Will gaining new allies - and new enemies. Sorry, Will - I know I ought to hope you one day make it back home, but I honestly can't. The goblins need their king, and I can't wait to see what adventures you get dragged into next!
Arthur Daigle is an extremely creative and talented wordsmith and I am deeply grateful to have discovered his works. It is rare to find a book that has lots of action, many fantasy elements and characters, laugh-out-loud comedy situations but Daigle has accomplished this rarity several times. And I am privileged and delighted to read such entertaining tales. I intend to read them all. I’m also very glad his novels are available on Kindle Unlimited. I highly recommend them and hope you enjoy as much as I did.
Another winner! And this time Bradshaw even managed to reach one of the ppl he wanted to save (even though he wasn’t a person in the traditional sense). I loved each book and will enjoy rereading them with my kiddos when they are older. I truly hope we see more of William Bradshaw and his goblins in the future.
Really, at this point I have ran out of great things to say about this book, and the series overall. If you haven't read the others there is just no helping you at this point. Seriously, I feel a sadness knowing that not everyone out there is reading it.
An enormous, angry, walking city. And elves being elves. Plenty of problems for William to tackle, further complicated by his allies. Plenty of snark, a fun read as usual.
"Urban Problems" is the 5th installment in the William Bradshaw series and is an excellent addition to the series. Arthur continues to mix clean humor with action and a "g" rated splash of romance for a story all ages can enjoy!
Will is over his head when he learns a menace long thought gone dead is about to march out of the sea straight for the Kingdom of the Goblins. Sarcamusaad towers above mountains but the destructive giant might be the least of Will's problems. The elves offer help, but have an agenda of their own. Can Will figure out who's friend and who's foe fast enough to stop Sarcamusaad, or will this be the end of The Kingdom of the Goblins and all of Other Place?
Dont want to give away plot, but I definitely follow this author now and buy anything he releases. Only wish he had a printed boxset so easier to purchase a physical copy of the books. Would love my boys to read this series.
Only had one disappointment. Will shouldve insisted some of Pecks money go to Hugh Timbers. He brought eternal army to wills attention, which saved who knows how many lives. He deserves to have a shop again.
Havent finished reading this book, so if Im wrong Ill come back and change my review. Really grateful Arthur decided to become an author.
