***BOOK EXCERPT***

"Arjun. You should sleep here on this big bed. I can--" Before she could finish, he got up and crashed next to her. His weight made her roll towards him. And the moment she made contact, he held her and rolled her on top of him.

She was stunned for a few seconds. "I meant for us to switch beds, Arjun! Not for you to join me here!"

She tried to roll away from him, but his arms held her hostage. Even in the dark, she could see the white flash of his teeth as he grinned.

"Stop bending the rules so much. You already kissed me thrice even though I said no touching."

"Look who's counting," he teased.

Her cheeks heated, and she wanted to snap back. But slowly, she stopped struggling when she felt his hand moving in slow circular motions. Even though her body was thrumming with awareness, there was a sense of ease and comfort lying on top of him.

His phone beeped from somewhere, making him sigh. "All right. I've got to go now. So, if you'll give me my morning kiss, I'll be on my way."

All of her sleepy and lazy contentment vanished at that statement. "What morning kiss?"

Her heart began to pound in sudden anticipation, and she was sure he could feel it as she was lying on top of him.

"Oh. Did we not discuss that rule? I thought we did." From his devilish grin, it was obvious he was putting on an act.

"We didn't discuss any such rule." She was supposed to sound stern, but her voice came out breathless once again.

"Well, I must have forgotten. So, let's add that now. All married couples do it." He pulled her up until their heads were aligned together.

She tried to resist. "I don't think it's needed. It's a bad idea."

"I disagree. It's a great idea. How else can a married couple stay bonded through their busy lives? I would have preferred good afternoon and good night kisses too, but I'll settle for a daily good morning kiss for now."

Before she could say anything, he held her waist and rolled them until she was lying underneath him. All thoughts vanished at seeing the intent look on his face as he came closer. She held her breath, waiting.

Some love stories are just cute. No misunderstandings, no confusions just the leads who keep pushing each other to the end. This is one such love story. Finished in one sitting a simple love story set against the backdrop a simple village Sitapur.

Priya Shankar is a child prodigy, ambitious and successful at her work. The force behind her is her mom who is cynical and plans everything in Priyas life. She charts out everything and Priya has been keeping up to it. Until Arjun happens.

Priya and Arjun meet, have a whirlwind marriage in Las Vegas and have a wonderful time. If you think this is happily ever after you are mistaken. Suddenly Priya disappears only to come back after 3 years asking for annulment of the marriage.

Now Arjun refuses saying they need to know each other, spend time together and then decide if the marriage is a disaster. He's totally sure of making her fall in love with him within the said time. How he convinces and does Priya get convinced forms the story.

The chemistry between the leads is electrifying and the writing is very crisp. A simple story with lots of passion, farming and loving grandparents.

Waiting for the next by the author.

I loved Arjun and Priya's story. It is amazing how love can change some rather boring and strict lives (Priya's) transforming those into fun loving and tender persons. Another unputdownable best seller by M.V. Kasi

A pretty ordinary book with an ordinary story line. It reminds of a few Bollywood movies. There are twists and turns but finally all is well that ends well.

The story is simple and revolves around the main characters. The secondary characters have some role to play in the story. The scenes have been described vividly. The language is simple and the story moves pretty fast.

The description of this book sounded so good to me that I immediately went to read this one (Thinking of 'Namaste London', for obvious reasons). It was an okay book, nothing much to read.

The story, the scenes and lot of other things just make it clear that the writer themselves *has never experienced India or lived here* before writing this. (heck, they couldn't even say heroine was wearing a salwar-kameez at one point, it was called 'ethnic' clothes.. ROFL)

1) In the epilogue, it is mentioned that they had a second wedding amidst friends and family. Why is the heroine not described wearing a mangalsutra (or anything that is remotely close to what Indian women wear)? For that matter, no matter how rich we are, we Indians don't place prominence in wedding bands.

2) Somewhere in the middle of the story, the heroine attends a 'godh-bharayi' function wearing a saree. This is highly unbelievable, because she is a foreigner who has never worn Indian clothes ever before and you expect me to believe that somebody draped something huge as a saree on her and she carried it around like a pro..

3) Also, in a true Indian story, there would have been a dori tying scene for her blouse when she is wearing a saree, she is married and applies mehendi in a scene and such a scene is just wasted??

4) Lastly, few things were just absurd.

Her mom is a harsh, cynical person who despises anything and everything that is remotely fun or relaxing, this part I can understand but this woman schemes to get her daughter married to an abuser, just so that heroine becomes as cynical as her? Which mother would do this??

The lead couple's son is described as being 4 years old in epilogue and when the heroine hugs him, she smells baby powder?? And in very next scene, she tells the boy to go feed the two family dogs?? Is he a baby, toddler or a teenager?

It's simple, uncomplicated, full indianized Bollywood masala mix romantic story.

I was looking for some simple short read and saw this book in my kindle recommendations. I picked it because I was in mood for light reads. This book was exactly that.

As blurb says : Priya is ambitious, hardworking and smart women who is engrossed with her mom's company. She aspires to have her own startup one day. But her life is planned in every step by overachiever mother.

All plans will be blown away when she meets gorgeous man in Vegas. There wild whrilwind passionate weekend will result in marriage. Now after 3years she has to go back to India and meet that sexy hunk and get his signature on annualment papers.

Twist arrives when Arjun refuses the annulment and ask her to stay one month with him to convince her that it's good to give their marriage a try. Arjun is strong, determined, hardworking, understanding family oriented guy plus billionaire. He has all you can expect from boyfriend.

One month with staying in a small town village of india, with a husband she doesn't know anything about and he is a farmer working in fields. With those sizzling chemistry, beautiful smile will she be able to resist that handsome hunk?

I m rating it as 4 because heroine annoyed me a little and author didn't give proper explanation on why heroine doesn't remember things even though she wasn't drunk. Also their chemistry was intense and their sexy times were explosive, but it's tough to accept for Indian mindset as reality of this is not common, however its good fantasy.

Nonetheless, this is still an enjoyable sexy and good one time fun read.

Tt's a pretty light hearted and slow burn story. the story is compelling with its dive into ones inner turmoil, mental pressures and conflicts of hearts whether to choose love or your career. Also touched the surface of agricultural science and importance. the story simple and straight forward. but i do think that it could been better if the problems in the latter chapter would have been explored a little deeper and not be concluded in a single chapter. there was a lot more that could have been explored deeply in terms of emotions and conflicts. emotions and surrounding motions are described vividly.
i am also keen on knowing FL's mother's story and why she views life as she does and what make her so adamant towards her views.

Great read

It's the exact kind of romance I like. a good setting, Strong women who wouldn't give up their lives and careers just to be with their man but would find a balance between career and love life. Successful, hardworking men who are supportive. All in all a very nice happy ending kinda book. :)
