***He shakes his head. “No. Not tell me.” He lifts a hand and points at the wall. “Fix that. Odpustiť.”
I close my eyes to block the sting of tears. “Forgive?”
He nods. “We both stop running. Together.”
This was an angsty read about two “broken” souls trying to move forward from a traumatizing past, not thinking either is worth the effort. But to the other, they are everything. It was great, watching each come to terms with their past and learn to heal for their present and future. They are overcomes and with each other, can make the old hurts heal.
The other thing that bothered me about this book, is when it’s in the past. At first, the way it read, I thought it was Emmas past seeing how the book is in her POV. That is, until about 20ish % when we learn that it’s actually Christians POV, it was very confusing. The very first past memory was when she hadn’t even talked to Christian yet so you can see why I assumed it was Emma’s past. If they past pasts were labeled it would have stopped the confusion. Other than that, I enjoyed this book.
