They told me the men who live on the surface were filthy beasts...
They were right!

For a highborn daughter of the great tower, never touched by the hands of a man, there is no greater shame than exile to the surface. I was told that the brutes who dwell amid the ruins of the old world would do unspeakable things to a girl like me, that if I were left at their mercy my virgin body would be shared among them and used more roughly than I could possibly imagine!

I didn't listen. I defied the sacred laws of the tower, and I was banished, cast down to be claimed by the savages beneath. But as they ravage me over and over, every desperate, devastatingly intense climax, makes it more clear, that there is one thing the elders did not warn me about...

They didn't warn me that before long, I would beg these filthy beasts for more!

Publisher's Note: Filthy Beasts includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't read this book.

Surprisingly, there was a pretty interesting world described in this quickie. It's the year 3000 (and some), and the heroine Demi is a highborn - part of a race of women who aren't born, but are 'produced' by a computer known as System. They live on top of a tower and do nothing but obey System's commands. When Demi is kicked out for masturbating, she ends up in the care of a group of men with whom she decides to take System down.

Very quick read and most of the heroes weren't well-developed at all, but I liked Demi's character and I found Renard's System stuff unexpectedly compelling. Also, considering none of the harem died, it's infinitely better than the last RH I read from her.

A very thought provoking read….
Demi has been raised in a tower and that she has basically been birthed in an artificial womb and then at the age of twenty three has been cast down to the earth where there are only wild men that want nothing more than to rape any female that they find until they are exhausted or dead.
The stories are horrific and the highborn females that live in the tower have a book of rules they have to adhere to any any deviation is treated severely, Demi finds herself cast down to the surface in a shuttle where she is surrounded by a group of fighting males that simply want a piece of her, then late into the night Ein comes to her and carries her away to take her to their tribe but she is no shrinking violet and is nearly killed by a shadow cat and her cub.
The three men risk life and limb to find her and then spend weeks caring for her wounds it is only the care and medicine knowledge of Tiger, Ragnar and Kodak that together are able to heal and feed and discipline the reckless highborn.
This has some very interesting twists and turns and the System it seems is so very much more involved in not only the running of the Sanctuary and the Highborn but also is ensure the future of the humans and their life.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

It was a pleasure to read this truly fascinating & somewhat dark Sci-Fi reverse harem romance, it is set in an apocalypse/dystopian world. The story-line & plot is intriguing & captures the reader’s attention. The scene description is excellent. The characters are unique with well-developed but very different, individual personalities & react to the situations they find themselves in with realistic emotional feelings.
There is: a defiant strong-willed but naïve highborn female (Demi) who is exiled to earth, she is claimed by four barbarian males (the leader: Ragnor, the medicine man: Kodak, the disciplinarian: Tiger & a highborn male: Ein), twists & turns, intrigue, drama, adventure, action, threats, ultimatums, artificial intelligence, visions, discipline, spankings, injuries, verbal conflict, compromises, acceptance, explicit steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion. I really enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi reverse harem romance & would recommend it to people who like to read this genre.

Story/Idee 3,6/5
Erotik 4,4/5
Charaktere 4,0/5
Schreibstil 4,0/5
Gesamt 4,0/5

I'm a HUGE fan of Loki's works. I have read them all and usually give every one of them 5 out of 5 stars (if not 4.5). I love the dark erotic themes, the surprise twists, alphas dominance, and the different yet creative world-building she comes up with. That being said, this book has the same creative world-building, but I felt like the backstory took away from the main story that was the growth between the five main characters of this book - Ragnar, Tiger, Kodak, Ein, and Demi. The backstory of the symbiotic machine, System, kinda took over I think so there wasn't really serious development. Ein was whiny, as was Demi. Usually Loki's worlds, these men would dominate her but not in this world so just different. I did enjoy this book but it is not the usual Loki book

I knew as soon as I read the blurb that this book was for me, not only because I knew it would be hot AF but the story is really interesting and intriguing.
Demi is a great character. A highborn, a virgin living in a tower, where complete obedience is expected, is warned time and time again to follow the rules otherwise she'd be cast to Earth to be ravaged by the men..
Once Demi is sent to Earth, well that's where the story gets interesting and filthy..
I loved it !!!

Twisty, hot, reverse harem... This author knows how to spin a tale, and this book checks off all the boxes: interesting storyline that grabs and keeps your attention and tweaks the imagination and sizzling encounters between the main characters, all intertwined with this author’s trademark darker elements that make the reader shiver deliciously as you become engrossed in the world she creates. No matter the genre, this author creates winner after winner; and this book is no exception. I love when a book takes me away to new places that do not exist, yet makes me believe it is possible and even adds unique elements that just somehow fit. Great read - I’m ready for the next journey.

Let's be honest: surly barbarian reverse harem is the best reverse harem.

So...3 surly barbarians, and one nice guy. Who do you think gets first dibs on the "dark channel", eh?

This was a fun book, with an expected twist towards the end I didn't see coming--and loved!--along with the trademark Loki Renard humor.

It's a quick read, and a standalone as far as I can tell. It seemed a little rushed at the beginning but the little twist around midway brought it all home. Could have used more spanking, but then again, I'm a pervert like that.

Loki is a must-read for me, and "Filthy Beasts" is more evidence why--recommended!

That’s the way I like LR so much. ♥️

You know, she writes excellent stories, you expect something very special and you get exactly something very different, but as always so good - wonderful! - it has everything you want: exciting story, interesting not so simple characters, some filthy scenes and surprising twists with a HEA.

Whoa...where to start here. Firstly, that cover, amiright?! Secondly, a warning: don't read this in public. And that's a compliment to the story :)

The setting and plot were so vivid, I felt like this was playing out like a movie. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of hot & steamy scenes as with any LR book, but they didn't feel shoehorned in. I liked Demi, and felt she reacted believably to her change in environment. She's a lab-created woman in a sterile and male-less world, but her rebellions that get her thrown out of the "sanctuary" kind of help her adjust more easily. It's always a challenge to cover several main personalities in a RH, but I got a good impression of each man's personality. They honestly weren't as harsh as the blurb made me anticipate, either, but they showed the right amount of discipline and care for Demi. There's several funny moments due to upbringing differences, and again, this was super hot.

The only negatives for me was that I felt the conflict with the "villain" had kind of a hokey resolution, and Demi seemed to develop stronger feelings for one of the guys almost at the end without much reasoning. Otherwise, this was great and looking forward to the next story out of LR's mind!

Filthy Beasts was a bit of a guilty pleasure - at least until I got about half way through the book. At that point I was surprised to find an intriguing story with a unique twist on the dystopian/post-apocalyptic genre that really brought the tale to the next level. Don't get me wrong -I'm a fan of steamy romance, erotic romance, and I love a good, quick, dirty read. This one doesn't disappoint and I'm glad I got more than I originally expected.

Tiger, Ragnar, and Kodak are indeed filthy beasts - and the barbaric way they claim Demi proves that point but I did enjoy the characters, their blossoming affection for one another, and the unexpected twist that leads the story in a fascinating direction. I'd read more from this author and this barbaric, crude, and sex-filled world of manly beasts.

Rape is ok?

It’s a short book so it makes sense that there’s not a lot of true development. It’s hard to actually care about the characters. It also makes rape seem ok. Chick is forced into a sexual relationship with 4 men, and falls in love with them? Yeah, not my cup of tea.

They are Filthy Beasts with some heart that can love

Filthy Beasts by Loki Renard is the first book that I have read by this author so I was not sure what to expect. Sometimes you like new author's and sometimes you don't. So I am on the fence still on this book and author. The story was well written but it was a bit twisted and strange to me in regards to the story. There are definitely some steamy scenes but others are disturbing as in very rough and non-consensual with the h.

The "filthy beasts" are no filthy in what they do and they do a lot of dirty and filthy things in this book. The story is dystopian as it is set after the fall of civilization. Things have gone back to a feudal system with groups of people who protect certain areas of land that are theirs. Things down on earth are very strange in deed. But even stranger are what is known as the "highborn". This is both a place and people. The place is a structure that goes above the clouds and looks down on the lands below. It is a clean and pristine place which is only inhabited by woman of a certain age where everyone learns about and follows the "System". Think 'The Handmaids Tale' only on steroids and way further out there.

The h, Demi, is a very beautiful highborn who was "born" three years ago at the age of 18. It turns out that the highborn incubates the women in pods until the age of 18. Now Demi has a rebellious streak a mile long and because of that she was made to read all of the "System Code of Commands" which gets her into even more trouble. Just think "1984" when everyone is told what to think and do and everyone follows without question. But if you know the truth then do you still follow blindly or do you question when an elder twists the commands to get what they want? Demi questions and other things until she is finally exiled and sent down to earth in a pod where men will ravage her, use her until she is no more. At least that is what the Highborn are taught as they have never seen a man.

Demi's pod is initially set upon by a hoard of rutting men who just want to pillage her. They try to get the pod open but are not successful and in the process they fight among themselves until they are either dead, severely injured or just give up and go to sleep. Demi is rescued from her pod by Ein who is a half born - mother was a highborn and father was from earth along with 3 other men in his hunting party. Now they were hunting for women to bring back to their group to be shared and breed. The h is abused by all four of the H's with a number of non-consensual scenes. The story takes a few twists and turns that I didn't like but I kept reading and there were other parts that I did enjoy. So Filthy Beasts was a mixture for me by the end.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Excellent reverse harem dark romance!!

This book has an interesting storyline with some very yummy characters. Demi is what is referred to as a highborn. Born in an artificial womb high above the Earth in a tower. All the women born up there are taught that the Earth is a terrible place filled with filthy beasts that want nothing more than to ravage every woman they see. System keeps the women safe in the tower but expects complete and utter obedience and devotion. Otherwise they will be cast to the Earth below to fend for themselves. Demi is strong willed and continually gets in trouble, whether the infraction is big or small is of no consequence. She is good if she acts out again she will be exiled to Earth and left to the beasts. So when she's caught pleasuring herself she is exiled. Lucky for her and is rescued from her capsule by Ein, the youngest of his tribe. He takes her to the other three men he is with, Ragnar (the leader), Kodak (medicine man) and Tiger (disciplinarian). They are brutes and she will be ravaged, but they plan to protect her as well. Grab this super exciting book today and read about their fascinating journey and what Demi learns from these wonderful men. This is a super sexy, steamy read and I highly recommend it!

Demi can not help but get herself in trouble. She is sassy! She is a highborn daughter of the great tower and there are many rules that they have to follow. Even after 3 trips to the wall she still cant help herself and is banished to land below where she will be taken and used by savages. Now Demi is scared and begging for forgiveness but it is too late she is send now in a shuttle.
It isn't long before the savages start to arrive. They are fighting over her trying to break her out of the shuttle but she wont open it to them. She manages to fall asleep only to woken by a man that looks nice not like the ones that have fallen asleep in their drunken stupor. Demi opens the door and is quickly told to be quiet and she is carried away.
Ein, quickly carry's her back to his leader. Ein tried to tell them about it her but they didnt believe him.
Ein knows that she is his mate and finds himself very protective of her.
Ragnar is the oldest and the leader of the group
Kodak is the medic of the group but very strong on rules.
And Tiger now he is just scary.
Can Demi except these men as hers? Can she forgive the tower?
Omg some of the chapters in this book are off the charts HOT. I just wish there was more interaction between them as a group and individually.
Overall a good read

Definitely Not Filthy Beasts!
I enjoyed this book by Loki Renard. This is an after the apocalypse, Sci-Fi romance. I loved the attention to detail in the storyline and the depictions of the characters and the world building. You can feel how stifled Demi is. She is different from the rest of the Highborn. She wants to belong but the rules just make her want to break them. Ragnar, Tiger, Kodak, Ein are on the hunt. Not for food but for women. They need to have mates. Ragnar and his men are in the right place at the right time. Just at a time when Demi has pulled her last disobedient stunt with the Highborn and she finds herself in a wild and unknown world at the bottom of the Highborns’ tower. Ragnar and his band of Alpha men are near the tower. Thanks to Ein she makes it away from the pack of very primal men that live at the bottom of the tower. What she doesn’t bargain for is that Ragnar and his Alpha men are very dominate in nature. There are rules to follow or someone could die. Demi has met her match or matches. But she still, for all her rebelliousness and impulsive nature, is intelligent and Ragnar the chief of the tribe believes in her visions and reasoning. There is a very prominent D/s storyline in this book. I recommend this book.

Another very entertaining story from Loki Renard

This was definitely an interesting story Demi is a highborn she was created by a sentient computer system and she lives in a tower high above earth. Demi isn't like the other highborns she was different in many ways and they consider her corrupted and exile her down to the lowlands. Once she is shuttled down, she is faced with her worst nightmare she is surrounded my hundreds of savage men that haven't been with a women in a long time. Lucky for her the shuttle won't open unless she pushes the button and she would rather die in that shuttle then be raped by all those savages. One night after they've all fell asleep passed out from drinking too much ale or from fighting way too much over her, she is rescued by a young man that reminds her so much of the highborns she grew up with. Ein is the son of one of the highborn woman that was exiled but later accepted back into the fold. Now Demi is to not only his mate but she also answer to three more ruggedly handsome men. This story is pretty good I would highly suggest you check it out. The ending was absolutely hilarious the interaction between the men and system the sentient computer system I don't believe I've ever laughed so hard.

Demi has lived in the Tower all her life. Those in the System are pure, unsullied by man. But there are rules and Demi has been exiled. The Earth holds nothing but beasts, men that will breed a woman. The sexual urges are high. Demi’s fascination has cost her and now she is send down. Ein, Ragnar, Tiger, and Kodak find out about the capsules fall and go to retrieve it. These men are not beasts but there is so much more.
I can’t believe that the women are being manufactured like on the matrix but with a bit of a difference. Some do not have all the parts to bring on the urge. Honestly, that sucks. I guess for them it is ok but if that was our future, nope. Ein is a sweetheart. He is more of a gentleman then the others. Ragnar is the leader. Tiger and Kodak are the tough, ones a bit scary. Ein and Demi seem to be meant to be together but there is something else going on. What lies did the System keep? I love the mystery part of this story. There is so funny moments at the end. Amazing what can bring down a System.

A tower holds all the highborns. They are created, not born. Demi is a corrupt highborn. She is filled with Lust and must be punished. For her lustful nature, she is cast to the land below, where men rule and women are used. The men Demi meet are the brutes that the System described. Then she meets another male, who is half highborn. With the three other men of his tribe Ein; Ragnar, Tiger, and Kodak, they care for her and ravage her. Only when she is hurt do the men realize what a treasure she is to them. She is given both pleasure and pain.

I wish there was more plot. The entire System thing, just falls flat for me. It's like a pervy AI. And why are the women kept in the pods for so long? Get them out early and squash all their feels from little on up. Why wait?

The characters are hard to get to know. Ragnar the chief, Ein the baby, Tiger a fighter, and Kodak a medicine man. That's it. I guess I wanted more of a story with her and each man.

Not my favorite book. But it's still a decent read.

Demi, born by an AI in an incubator - code and human genetics, lives in a tower with similar women. The group is a cross between a religious cult and nun who follow the teaching of an AI. There are no feelings allowed, no emotions, and absolutely no sexual self-gratification. Except for Demi, through her studies in their library as come across a journal of a woman who once cast out, telling of "man-beasts" and their (to her anyway) sexual depravity. These writings begin to wake up Demi's sexuality, which of course goes against the tower's teachings, so she is cast out to the wild, to the "man-beasts." She is fortunate that she saved by a group of four "man-beasts" who decide to own her, using her body as they see fit and keeping her safe at the same time. What makes this story hold your attention is that Demi, as she is being conquered does not lose her strength nor her rebellious nature and, as she is being re-shaped by her men, she is slowly changing them as well. Definitely worth the reading!!

I am first and foremost a Loki Renard fan. I make no apologies or excuses. Her work just absolutely does it for me. When I was offered a chance to read this ARC and give my honest opinion, I literally jumped at the chance. I did the same thing with this book, "Filthy Beasts" as I do with every book I read. The mental pictures start to roll and I see a movie of the words I'm reading. When I'm introduced to Demi and her world, I see it in my mind clearly. WAIT!!! WTF?!? Left turn! I'm no longer in Albuquerque. Everything I thought I knew suddenly changed, turned on it's axis and I'm into completely new territory. Very HOT, very ALPHA territory, but I'm there, and I'm loving it. I hope this story continues and we are able to see further down the line with some of the sub-characters. This was an unexpected treat that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Alright

Not so dark and not so filthy. This is dystopian Rh that hints at a larger plot than this one explores, though it does flirt with the concept of an over powerful machine that controls those known as the highborn. Similar in scope to the matrix, it lacks action and excitement but is overloaded with heat, possible taboos and fantasy made flesh. It’s not wrong to like this book, but it might feel like it.

Pros;
- Interesting concept.
- One of the harem is older.

Cons:
- More sex than plot, but decent.
- Not a fan of her thinking, “punished like I deserved”, might be in trope and plot, along with that nagging taboo that is more fantasy then DM, but the feminist in me balked. 🤷‍♀️

Rebellion be damned

Demi just couldn't be a good girl and follow the rules. She was too curious about what the old texts were about of sex. That was forbidden! So, she was exiled to the surface to the land below. With men! But she was rescued by a beautiful boy. Then she was brought to four men, massive brutes. As each one taught her a different lesson, she came into her own. But she had to destroy the "System" of the high tower. What happened next was an eye-opener. You need to read the book! There are twists and turns and love unending. I recommend this book highly for adults only. I enjoyed reading this book on so many levels, but the ending is surprising. The love between Ragnar and Demi is? Read the book! You won't go wrong.

What a fun and exciting read! I started this book and read it straight through to its very satisfying conclusion. I love Loki’s books and this one fits right in with all her others; it’s just plain good.

Demi, a highborn of the Tower, is cast out into the cruel world of the lowborn below where she is found by Ein, Ragnar, Tiger and Kodak, the men who will become her saviors in a very wild and very different world than what she is accustomed to. Her journey is an exciting and fascinating one.

I’ve said it before and I’ll repeat it here: Loki Renard books are always a good read, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended.

What a fall from grace!

Demi is locked in a world of women, high above the rest of the mortals, not born, but designed.
But Demi does not conform to protocols which has her exiled to the ground below and to the mercy of the women short, man dominated "barbarians".
Ein, Ragnar, Tiger, and Kodak are the four men that rescue/capture her and introduce her to sex and take her as their own.
This story catches your attention from page one and does not let it go. The combination of sci-fi, action, adventure, heat, chemistry, sexy scenes, humor and intriguing characters, human and non-human make this a fantastic read. Loved it!

Demi gets cast out, but it saves her in the end. Dystopian, with a repressed power thing, a system that makes sexuality a bad thing, Demi is kicked out of their perfect world for being caught masturbating, and almost gets taken by the cavemen-like horde. Talk about a bad day, right? When Ein comes along, his group keeps her and she learns some new things. I'm not gonna lie, this book is hot, and the fact that very bathe is a bonus, lol. The tension level is kind of high, there's a lot of stuff going on, but the writing is clear and engaging, the story flows smoothly and the characters grow on you. As always, I'm loving the Loki Renard vibe, her books are always one-click certainties for me!
