A world doesn’t revolve around just one heroic act, and Athos isn't the only story on Incipere.
Slaying monsters? Easy.
Bringing foes to their knees? Satisfying.
Harnessing the powers of fame and epic loot? Essential.
Defeating a world-ending program stronger than the gods themselves? On the to-do list.
When Incipere is put at risk by a glitched program beyond the natural law of the world, who else can you turn to but to the heroes of a god? The blade-wielding River Hexi and the magically inclined Dante Rior, blessed by Unum itself, agreed to set aside their days of dungeon diving and arena combat to serve the greater good. With the favor of their patron, they must assemble a team, reformat the glitch, save the world, and maybe earn a little fame along the way.
Updates always bring fun, interesting new features. Don’t they?
R.J. Triveri is the author of the LitRPG series Incipere Online and Dungeon Core 101. He graduated from university life with a master’s in technology and education. Completing this, he has spent much of his free time writing, gaming, DM’ing for an overzealous paladin and crew that are constantly putting the world at risk, and trying to keep all of his stories straight so they can be written down. He currently is alive and plans on staying that way for at least another sixty-some years. With his wife, his hurricane of a son, and his cantankerous, anxiety-ridden cat, R.J. couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out.
In Login Re:Coded R.J. Triveri shows that he as grown as an author. Those looking for a continuation of Athos' adventure may be disappointed. Login Re:Coded instead is utilized to set the playing field for the third book in the series where Athos will more fully come back to the story. The book is good enough to stand alone on it's own merits with the newly introduced characters, their introduction tot he world of Incipere, their trials, and growth.
As you read R.J. Triveri sprinkles in some of the characters from last book to add to the immersion and development of Incipere as a world. There are alot of questions that will be raised and you'll have to shelf. Login Re:Coded and Hacked were originally supposed to be one book and have become separate novels. This has left a gap in knowledge that may annoy some readers.
I recommend this book for fans of the LitRPG genre as it not only shows the progression for the characters and the world of Incipere, but for the author himself as well. I believe you'll enjoy the adventures and dynamics of River and Dante.
A third of the way through and not one hint of the story yet.
This is not feeling drawn out, it is feeling like a bait-and-switch. Since the characters introduced are incredibly dull, I have no desire to finish the book. Given the poor character choices in the first book, I will not be continuing with this series.
