Forced to start over after her cheating ex nearly ruined her life, Ashley is done with men. But when her ex follows her across two states and won't leave her alone, she needs a fake boyfriend.
Luke learned the hard way that women are more interested in his wealth and status than in him personally. That's all right. He has no interest in a relationship.
But a fake relationship? That he can handle. Especially when his it involves his friend's little sister. That's all this is. Fake. At least that's what he keeps telling himself.
Danielle Pays writes romantic suspense with twists and a hint of humor. When not trying to write her characters into some kind of trouble, she can be found chasing her dog or annoying her kids. Unless the sun is out. She lives in the Pacific Northwest and if the sun comes out, it is a requirement to go outside before it hides again.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

So I got this book free from voracious and what a gem it is! I loved it. it was exciting, romantic and thrilling at the same time. Ashley and Luke are made for each other and there is the villain in the back ground. Make some space in your diary get a glass of wine and enjoy!
Ashley was involved with Sam, her professor, until she caught him cheating. What she didn't know was that she saw him with his wife. Sam's not ready to let her go, but she leaves anyway. He shows back up in her life, and Luke pretends to be her boyfriend. Ashley's sister Katie has warned her that Luke's a player, and she's not sure she likes him. As they spend time together, they realize that they like each other. Things are not over with Sam, though, and things get tense for a while. All the problems eventually are resolved.

I like fake relationship books and the premise for Tangled seemed a little bit different than most as Luke and Ashley fake a relationship to discourage a stalkerish Ex. The story was only okay for me because the characters were new adult and too juvenile. The drama created by Ashley's sister Kate would rival staged reality tv and facebook. Ashley was so wishy washy with being attracted to Luke, but listening to her sister. She then has a TSTL response to the suspense involving the Ex. I prefer a book with strong, smart characters, real drama not manufactured and a story that keeps my interest. Tangled missed on the first two and could have been better on the last.

One ex who won't go away + One fake boyfriend = Something unexpected
*** 3.5 Stars ***
Tangled is the story of Ashley and Luke. It is a fake relationship story about Ashley and Luke. Ashley has an ex, Sam, that just does not realize the relationship is over and stalks her and Luke is her brothers friend. So what do you do to get rid of a stalker ex...............get a fake boyfriend of course. And who can you get in a pinch but your brothers handsome friend. Luke is safe because he has a reputation of being a player so there will be no falling for each other here. Or so they both think.
Tangled has a good premise and some fun and entertaining moments. But some of the characters actions and reactions I could not understand. The story is well written though and I did enjoy it for the most part, even as I rolled my eyes at some points. I do look forward to reading more by Danielle Pays as she publishes.

I did not get very far into this book before I gave up on finishing it. it just had to many things that made not sense and I was just rolling my eyes.
OK so they go to their art class and for a surprise and something new there was a live male model, later that night it was discussed that the were busier then ever because of the male model, how could that be when it had just happened the one time so attendance could not have been anything to do with it.
Next the sister was going to give her a welcome party, she had not just got there and it was her home town so the idea of the part was redundant would be better a welcome home party.
How could her ex had possibly kept getting her phone number, and if it bothered her that much and he was harassing her she should have gone to the cops instead of creating a fake boyfriend.
Female lead, Ashley, has moved states to get away from her philandering, stalker ex-boyfriend. Luke is a friend of her older sister and, when he finds out her stalker has followed her, he offers his protection in the form of being her fake boyfriend.
The story is dual POV, well written and edited, and deals sensitively with a very trigger worthy topic that is VERY poorly dealt with in western society - stalking. I appreciated that the issue was resolved in this story and wish real life instances were as neatly dealt with. I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my honest review.
Ashley Capone moves back home to Seattle after finding out her lover was married and his wife ruined her business. Before Ashley can decide her next step, she falls for sexy, handsome, wealthy Luke Montgomery who doesn’t hide his interest. Her sister insists Luke’s a womanizer, exactly what Ashley doesn’t need. Ashley’s ex arrives, threatening a bad outcome if she doesn’t leave with him. Luke’s more than willing to play Ashley’s new love but her ex doesn’t care, he wants Ashley! Rating: 4.25stars
Ashley finds out what kind of man Sam is so she leaves to get away from him but he follows. Luke is tired of women trying to be with him for his money and when Ashley needs him to be her fake boyfriend in hopes Sam will back off and leave he doesn't hesitate to help his friends sister. What started off as a fake relationship sure feels real.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This is a really enjoyable book from Danielle Pays and I didn’t want to put it down. “Tangled” has a great, entertaining storyline and really well written, engaging characters. I really liked them. Their engaging chemistry and interaction kept me hooked on their story. This is a really good, must read book from this author and I was engrossed from beginning to end
After catching her boyfriend cheating on her, with his wife, and her business being smeared on the internet Ashley moves back home. While at a paint and sip with her sister one night she meets Luke, the male model posing for them to paint. He is apart of her sisters circle of friends and she tells her to stay clear because he is a playboy but when Ashley’s ex finds her Luke steps up in more than one way. 🖤🖤
Ashley was tangled up with Sam, a married professor, who is now stalking her. She uses Luke, who is a friend of her sisters as a pretend boyfriend to deter him. However he has become obsessed. This has been done before & I felt it was a tad YA for me, esp the dialogue. I also didn't feel the connection as she referred to Luke as a playboy too often. Also as the story wasn't long it lacked a bit of depth for me. I did receive a complimentary copy for an honest review.
She is running from her ex and trying to rebuild her life after him but he has followed her. They have been hurt very badly by women who all want his money and status. when she is in need of a fake boyfriend, this he can do. It is only take he keeps telling himself. is it really fake? does he want more with her? See how it goes

This is the first book I have read by this author and I cannot wait to try more. This is a super read and as a huge fan of a good fake relationship romance then Ashley and Luke's book was perfect for me. There is plenty going on in this book so get comfy you won't want to put it down, this is a great read with super characters I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through Voracious Readers Only.
I would HIGHLY recommend this, it's a fast read and a good one. It's got thrills, drama, steam, and just the type of ending I enjoy. This is an ideal book for a vacation, or down time while you travel. I'll be looking into other books by this author!
I was given this book to review by Voracious readers. I enjoyed this book for what it was, a quick easy read. Ashley was a little wishy washy for me. She didnt seem to have a mind of her own, always lead by others. I enjoyed Luke's character more than Ashley.
Not my favorite read but a decent story when looking for a quick escape
Ashley has moved in with her sister to get away from an ex who she found out was married. Now he has tracked her down and Luke has stepped in to help protect her. Luke has his own problems with past relationships. Will the two be able to survive the threats from Ashley's ex and get past their exes
Such a great novella love and suspense tied into one. Can’t wait to read more of her books. I loved both the characters in this book I could do with a part two with several months down the road and a another new threat in the story. I’d love to revisit these two characters and see how they are doing.
Ashley needs to get rid of her ex who doesn't understand no is no and that she doesn't want him back, Luke is her brother's friend and when she proposes a fake relationship it makes sense.

I received a copy of this book from voracious readers and I enjoyed it. I liked how emotionally strong Ashley was and how Luke supported her. I also liked the dynamic of the relationship Ashley and Luke had. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who likes steamy romances.
This steamy, fake boyfriend/girlfriend romance has SO much depth. An old boyfriend that won’t go away is unfortunately, something a lot of women can relate to. The banter is witty and swoon-worthy. A great read!
The writing was good, but deep book felt rushed. I'm glad it wasn't any longer, but the main characters were falling in love on their third interaction was too quick for me. It was a good plot line , though not original.
I received this book in return for an honest review. This was a good book and I enjoyed it a lot. I found it to be an easy book to read. If I were to criticise anything it’s that the story was fairly predictable.
Excellent Read: Once you start you will not be able to put the book down. Follow the path of heart act To sizzling love. The path takes you on an Adventure you are to enjoy
