Mason Thompson hates motorbike racing. It’s stupid, pointless, and dangerous. The glorified man-children who partake in this idiocy are even worse. None more so than Liam Ryan.
Liam Ryan is cocky, and he has every reason to be. There’s not a person on the track—or off it—who can get the better of him. He’ll be damned if drop-dead gorgeous paramedic Mason Thompson is the first.
But when events and overzealous bloggers seek to force them even further apart, will they risk everything to be together?
Will they break ground and realise sometimes the greatest risk results in the ultimate reward?
Megan Lowe is a lost journalism graduate who heard characters whisper stories to her and decided to write them down. She is based on the Gold Coast but her heart belongs to New York City. She writes new adult/ contemporary romance novels with sports and music themes.
Mason only took the job as a volunteer at the medical tent as a way to get his foot in the door for his dream job. He has no interest in racing at all. When Liam comes in to have his hand looked at, sparks fly, but there is no way that Liam would be interested in Mason. With that thought in mind, Mason moves on, but never forgets Liam. When fate steps in and has the two cross paths a few more times, but their encounters are a bit less than friendly due to Mason's boyfriend, Rowen. When Mason realizes just what kind of man Rowen is and drops him, will it be too late for Liam to forgive him? Do the two even have a chance at happy ever after?
I am so sad that this was the last of the series. Liam and Mason's story was a good one; with drama, nice naughty bits, and a bit of danger this story keeps you entertained. I really enjoyed this series as a whole and their story was the perfect ending. I give this 4 stars.
I think this was the perfect ending to a fantastic series.
Breaking Ground, was the story I have been waiting for, in this last instalment we get Liam and Mason story and how it all began. I don't think this is a standalone, but that is just me.
Liam & Mason, Mason & Liam, they have always been that solid relationship, and now we get to see them be bold together. This is a beautiful, heartwarming story. Breaking Ground is the perfect ending to the Rocking Racers series.
This series is one i highly recommend.
I loved how we go back way back when the Ryan's were young and on the brink of stardom, before they all meet there partners. I loved it all, I have always been a fan of Liam and Mason and this story was fantastic. 5 stars.
I have loved every book in this series, I was so excited for Liam and Masons story to finally be told. I hope Miss Lowe doesn't stop here because obviously this crazy family still has plenty of antics to entertain us. I didn't want to put this book down! Absolutely recommend this emtire series!
Loved this book. When you meet Mason and Liam the sparks between them is flying but that is all. We are lucky objects aren’t flying at Liam. He comes off as arrogant to Mason. Mason is a great guy. He is kind and patient but he doesn’t like the field of sport that Liam is in and he has a misconception of the people in this sport. So much so that he beileves a reporter he meets is better for him than Liam..A reporter heck bent on destroying Liam’s family so he can get ahead. A reporter who doesn’t care who he steps on or hurts to get ahead and his stories don’t have to be true only have a inkling of a true moment in them for him to be okay with things. You feel for Mason because he falls for this guy and is with him for a few years.
This has LIam keeping a distance from him but still friendly. Liam is trying also to stay out of the limelight of Mason’s boyfriend for he is hiding himself from the world. It pains me to see LIam’s secret outed before he is ready. This is the catalyst for Mason to walk away. It is also the catalyst for Liam and Mason as well. This begins there relationship and seeing them break ground in so many ways. Especially when it comes to relationships and his family. For his family, Liam sees his relationship with Mason and they begin to believe they can have this as well. For Liam he breaks ground in his field for his open relationship with Mason. The love they have for one another leaps off the page and warms the heart.
Watching Mason be by liam’s side through injuries and come backs. Liam by Mason’s side and supporting him like he did him as he pursues his degrees and forges his way in his field. These two are amazing together and their story is beuatiful and heartfelt. They have you melt and that ending just so precious.
Breaking Ground is book eight and the final book (wipes eyes) in the Rocking Racers series. For those of us who have read the whole series, this was the book we were all waiting on Mason/Liam’s story. While each book can be read as a standalone, I feel that while you could read this book without reading the series, it does give spoilers to the other characters so if you are fine with this read on; if not read the other books first so the secondary characters stories are not spoiled for you. This story runs concurrent with the series and gives us a look back at how these two came to be. It is always so eye opening to see the struggles that couples endure and that in society today it still must be such a taboo topic. Your personal life (99.9% of the time) should not affect your profession. I love that we got to see a closer look into their relationship and how much they both grew throughout the years not only in their relationship, but in their professions as well. This close-knit families curse was definitely broken with this generation. I loved the ending of this book and I will miss this family, but these racers sure did Break the Ground in so many ways. They are risk takers (all the Ryan’s) and this was one of the greatest risks, but I love how it was portrayed and handled. I’m still holding out hope that we will see a novella on Pop and Pa (like a Prequel) or that a spin-off on the next generation will occur in the future. This is one series that I highly recommend if you enjoy sports and close-knit, crazy families like I do.
So Breaking Ground is totally the story of opposites attract, and boy was it a push & pull situation that had me ready to pull my hair out. There's Mason, he hates motorbike racing with a passion. Like considers it stupid & dangerous, it's just too bad that he has some serious chemistry with a cocky racer named Liam Ryan. Yeah, you already know that this is going to be complicated. See, Liam approaches everything with an in it to win attitude, and he'll be damned if anything or anyone gets the better of him, including that hottie parametric, Mason. So Mason believes that there are other men better for him, and Liam isn't ready for his personal life to be in the limelight. Yeah, this sets the stage for some HUGE twists that had my f-bombs dropping like crazy, not to mention my heart on my sleeve for the emotional pain that I felt come through my kindle for both of these guys, as each got a portion of my heart in their own way. And that's all that I'm going to say about this story, as I don't want to give anymore away, except that it's another fantastic chapter in the Rocking Racers series that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I'm so happy to finally read how Liam and Mason's story. I have loved these two from the start. What am I saying I have loved every single one of these characters I'm just so happy we got to hear their story. And the way it continues on. I don't want to see this series end at all!!! It's so bittersweet because you just can't wait to get to the next book but then you know eventually you will run out of characters. But Megan their are the children....hint hint. I honestly had no idea that Mason and Liam's story was so dynamic and they had been through so much. They were the epitome of the perfect couple and this is the perfect month for this book to come out with the love is love!!! I highly recommend this Entire Series!!!!! It is one of the best I've ever read!!! By Tina

A well written story with good character development and supporting cast. The romance for Mason and Liam is a wonderful, snarky, humorous slow rise. It ends promising HEA.
I love Mason and Liam story..... All throughout the series I was wanting to know their story and I finally got it and it blow my mind... I can't believe the series is finished!!!!
