Jaysas!!!! This book!!!
Zander rocked my senses. I’m not sure if I wanted to smother him or smooch him 😂.
He’s such a broody SOB, but come on, who doesn’t love an alpha male in a book.
Anyway..... I say as I fan myself. Zander and Taylor get together, for what is supposed to be a one time thing. Doesn’t work out that way though 😉.
This book is pure hotness. I’m still trying to cool down!
I cannot wait for book 2!!!!

I LOVE it when I meet new-to-me authors who surprise the hell out of me with their words.
Taking Control by Danielle Dickson made me gasp, over heat and swoon. I bloody loved it! It was a super quick read for me, but the fast pace only seemed to add to the story and make it more addictive.
My biggest gasp of all came from the ending because HOLY HELL. I am in NEED of Kai's book ASAP!

Holy Hotness! This book had me raging one minute, sweaty the next. Zander and Kia. My, my, my!! Definately a sandwich you want to be squished between!!!
Zander is a brooding asshole but boy, I want to tame that beast!

I picked up this book and could not put it down. I was glued to my phone flicking the pages until I finished the whole story. I got so invested in these characters and there were some smoking hot scenes. I’ve been stuck in a book funk for months and this book pulled me right out of it! I can’t wait to read more from Danielle Dickson.

OMG! This book! Taylor! Finally a real woman with confidence but not egotistical! She wasn't shy and blushing but wasn't perfect either! Spunk and humility! Love it! Zander!! Holy hotness! So sexy and brooding! I loved how he saw a woman's want of a bad boy! Danielle seriously nailed it with some very real characters and a great story! The blushing or hard as nails characters can be great, but it's refreshing to read characters that feel real to me! Thank you for giving us a great story with great characters! Can't wait for Kai and Damia's books!

Taking Control is book one in a new series for Danielle Dickson, and it kicks off with one hell of a bang and doesn't go down from there.
Zander is struggling, I won't say what with, but it makes him one hell of an interesting character. I was broken by him and put back together. I followed every emotion that he felt and loved it.
Taylor is a strong feminine heroine, who has her wobbles but comes out fighting. She was also a great character to read. I fell in love with her bravery at the start of the book. What she does is not something I could do. I'm a chicken LOL.
The plot of this book kept me hooked from the first page. It had twists and turns and side characters that held my interest. It is exceptionally well written, and I cannot recommend it enough. Hurry up and write the next one Danielle!

Let's start this backwards...
That fucking ending, I wasn't expecting, I reached it and my jaw hit the fucking floor!
This is my first read by Dickson, I know, same on me. This story didn't disappoint, it was all hot, intense and emotional from start to finish.
Zander was everything and more. Taylor irritated me a bit, but, still loved her.
Kai, Kai, Kai I need more of him. He made my heart sing.
Wish the story had been longer, I just didn't want to say goodbye to Zander, but, as it is, the story was perfect. Well-written, entertaining and hot as sin.

Holy steaming hotness, this book certainly started as it meant to go on. Taylor worked her ass of for her sleazy ass boss who took credit for all her hard work.
The NYE party was a great success, yet sleazeball boss kept busting Tay’s balls all evening, the ultimate sleaze move came, but Z was there to rescue Tay, then Kai came along. Both Z and Kai are hot sexy men, and they both want Tay.
Then comes one of the hottest scenes I have read in a while, if you’ve got lady bits and a sexy drive girl your going to be as wet as a bath, and men if your appendage doesn’t get as hard as a rock there is something seriously wrong with you (insert laughter here)
Z then decides he wants Taylor for himself but she makes him feel out of control, he needs control in his life it keeps the pain away. Spontaneity is not in his vocabulary. He can’t handle it, it hurts.
What will happen, do they make it, does Taylor hey the man who makes her feel alive and connected, will Z give her the control she doesn’t know she posses. Or will Kai get the love of his life. Read the book and find out. It’s amazing you WILL love it.

What a ride.
I didn't have any information before I read this book, just a title and a hot little cover on my kindle.
I went in blind.
And oh boy am I glad.
Taylor is your everyday no bullsh*t kinda girl. She works her backside off for what she has and knows how to play hard, too. She's a cracking character with a lot to give and decent comic relief.
Zander has his demons - don't we all? - and they consume him at times which was heartbreaking to read. Watching him grow and c me to life was something to behold.
I don't want to ruin the story by giving away details, but ladies - I recommend reading this ALONE when you can give it ALL of your attention.
I read this in two days. It would have been in a matter of hours if life didn't distract me. I wanted to inhale all the words and keep them for myself. The story is paced nicely, the characters are built strongly and the warm fuzzies are surprising and perfect.
Dickson did an amazing job with this. Hats off to her. I can't wait for the rest of the series so I can crawl up inside the supporting characters.
** NOTE- D (side character) is my spirit animal and I 100% adore her. If she was real, I'd drink tequila with her until we both his the floor. **

This is a first for me from Danielle Dickson. A friend recommended that I grab one of her books and give it a read. I really enjoyed it. The writing was well-done, the characters were great. I'm so happy this is gonna be at least a 3 book series. I love the sexy...This one starts right out with a threesome and I was smitten!
Zander is a truly wonderful character that anyone would love. Taylor, great leading lady and I can say a lot of "normal" people in her when she doesn't draw attention to her boss or what he's doing or making her feel. And Kai, not so sure about him yet...and can't wait to find out.
Loved the twist at the end and the way she's leading you into book 2!

Zander is hot with a capital H O and T. Tattooed and beating himself up from the inside out. His struggles are so real you can’t help but want to hug him but shake him at the same time!
100% Alpha male; just how I like them!
I connected with Taylor on a level I don’t think I have much. She’s down to earth, yet willing to take a risk on something she’d never entertained. Her relationship with D—her best friend—reminded me of how I am!
The secondary characters in this book are perfect and Danielle has yet again left me wanting more! I can’t wait to see where she goes next with these books!

Wowsers. This story was nothing like I thought it was going to be but so much more.
The characters were great. Zander was dark and damaged but had lots of redeeming features that made you want to hug him (OK maybe more than hug) and Taylor was a strong leading lady (mostly). I loved the supporting characters and can't wait for more.
I don't want to give away any spoilers but then ending was mind blowing and I loved it and need to where thing go from here.
I am so glad I read this book but be warned this is not a happy, sunshine kind of story there is a lot of dark moments so go in prepared.

Loved this book! Loved how dominate Zander was and when him and Taylor come together its just HOT! These two just set the sheets on fire with there intense chemistry! I cannot wait for book 2 to come out so I can find out what happens next with Kai!

I will start off by saying this is the first book I have read from this author. I was not disappointed in the least. If you are looking for a steamy read that has some mfm action in it then this is the book for you. This quick read is captivating with an intense storyline full of passion and angst. Zander (love that name) is a hot alpha male who keeps things intriguing. Taylor is feisty with the right amount of naughty to keep interests high. The ending of this book felt a tad abrupt but then I realized that side characters in this story were going to have upcoming stories (yeah). Definitely recommend. Happy Reading.

I love hot tattooed alpha males and that just describes Zander to a T! I love that Taylor is strong female lead to and doesn't turn in to a wet blanket when she is upset!

Yikes! If this book was any hotter, I might have melted! What a story, it was full of angst and heat and if the characters weren't fictional I might be going in search of them...lol Seriously though, it was an amazing book and series starter. I'm really exciting to see what's in store of them in the future, this author has hooked me well and truly on Zander, Taylor, and Kai!

Holy heck! I know the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover", but I made an exception for "Taking Control", and let me tell you, I have no regrets! The purple, almost smoky, font made the title jump out at me. The shirtless tattooed torso was a pleasant addition as well. What I'm trying to say is, the cover of "Taking Control" is hot!
From the second I started reading "Taking Control", I was intrigued. I have always loved the idea of a masquerade ball, but I have never had the pleasure of attending one in person. I loved the mystery that was evident from the beginning.
The way Taylor seemed to literally bump into Zander was a typical love story event, but with an incredibly sexy twist. I couldn't put this book down until I found out what was going to happen next! The love scenes were incredibly hot and passionate, but not raunchy. I'm used to reading stories in which the female protaganist is the one with her guard up, and the guy is the one who tries to break down those walls. It was a great change being able to read a story that was the total opposite. Zander is the one with the walls up, and Taylor tries desperately to break those same walls.
Zander Reed has had a rough past, and it's incredibly difficult for him to trust anyone with even the smallest tidbit of detail about his life. He enjoys a quick hookup, but never expected to connect on a deeper level with any of his sexual partners. Taylor Moore has spent the past few years working for a despicable boss, hoping to work her way up in the company, and land her dream job as a designer. She has been working so hard, that she rarely has time to enjoy herself. She wants a male companion, but she doesn't expect to find him anytime soon, especially at a company party.
"Taking Control" took control of my hormones! I don't even want to know how many doughnuts and Dr. Peppers I consumed while engrossed in this book. Yet, I am perfectly okay with that. I am extremely nit-picky when it comes to books, and I usually find it very easy to find something wrong with a book. I failed miserably when it came to "Taking Control". Danielle Dickson did a phenomenal job writing a book that expertly toyed with every emotion: anger, love, frustration, inspiration, passion, sadness, and so many more. After I finished reading, I was beyond excited to learn that this story will be continued! I can't wait to read the next installment in this series because I am not ready to let go of Taylor, Zander, Damia ("D"), or Kai!

Wow - this was such a great and intense book!
Taylor was such a great girl but was treated like absolute crap by her boss. He was so abusive to her and I loved how Zander turned the tables but I was definitely freaking out about what was going to happen to her. The connection she had with Zander was extremely intense and I was unsure of what was going to happen as he had ghosts in his past for sure.
Zander was such a deep character and you could tell that he kept his life very closed and that Kai Haynes was the only person he let in. But after what happened between Zander, Kai and Taylor you could tell that something else was going on as well. Zander was so intense but was obviously hurting a lot from his past and was desperate to try and move past everything.
The connection between Zander and Taylor was extremely intense and they both had to learn things in order for things to work. Their chemistry was sizzling for sure!! But the book also has a deeper level with overcoming your demons and how to move past them in a way that isn't dangerous or harmful.
The ending in the epilogue definitely had me wondering what was going on with Kai and I can't wait for his book next to see if I am right!

The connection between Zander and Taylor was extremely intense and they both had to learn things in order for things to work. Their chemistry was sizzling for sure!! But the book also has a deeper level with overcoming your demons and how to move past them in a way that isn't dangerous or harmful.
The ending in the epilogue definitely had me wondering what was going on with Kai and I can't wait for his book next to see if I am right!

I just want to start with Holy woah! That ending... did not see it coming but wow I need more right now!
From the very first page I was addicted to this book!
We meet Taylor, a gorgeous character working her butt off for an A-Hole boss, doing a job that she is definitely not destined to be doing. Setting up for a NYE party... then she stumbles into a dark and broody male (Zander) and I wouldn’t blame her either for her uncontrollable need to stare at him! Seriously who doesn’t love a hot brooding alpha!
The connection they feel is instant but of course she needs to continue working if she wants her job to remain secure.
We then meet Kai, a friend of Zander (Mr Dark and broody) as we learn the connection between the two of them.
Now Taylor has been given an offer she can’t resist on NYE (and frankly who in their right mind would?)
After a crazy night of passion with Kai and Taylor, Zander leaves after feeling out of sorts which is unlike him as he needs the control. He realises that Taylor is different, he wants her!
From his tortured past, Zander is having a hard time giving her know all of him and letting her in... but can one addiction be replaced with another?
I cannot wait for the rest of this series! It kept me intrigued and glued to my screen and it’s got me addicted!

At the start of Taking Control we are focused on 2 sexy mystery men and Taylor who has put together a New Year's Eve Party for her boss, his company and clients.
Our 2 sexy mystery men are Zander & Kai. They are best friends and business partners. They occasionally share interest in the same woman, have some fun and move on to the next.
The evening of the New Year's Eve Party their mutual interest fell upon Taylor. She was a magnet drawing them both to her.
The night between the 3 of them was different. Zander felt an intense connection with Taylor. A connection that he wasn't comfortable with. A connection causing feelings that were hard to ignore no matter how much he tried.
Kai also seems to be affected by Taylor but Taylor felt the same intense connection with Zander leaving Kai in the background.
After the night the 3 spend together Kai leaves on a business trip leaving Zander back in the states handling business and his conflicting feeling for Taylor.
There is so much more but I don't want to spoil it for you.

Why oh why do i read a fantasic book knowing it is a series only to want the next book NOW.This is the first book i have read from this author and WOW she certainley knows how to keep you hooked, as i read this in one night.
Taylor is working a New Years Eve party for her knob head of a boss instead of being out with her friends,but she is biting her tongue and getting on with her job to mingle with the clients as she needs this job.So when she bumps into a hot sexy dark male Zander the instant attraction is there,but then later another sexy hot male Kai asks her to dance and his hands are all over her, she is also smitten.
This starts a night of the best sex of her life with two males that are friends and business partners that are out to please Taylor in any way they can,and holy hotness this author sure knows how to keep you hooked on these three strong characters.This was hot,hot hot,holy moly.
This is the start of how these three came to be together and all the baggage that Zander carries will have you routing for him,but you also love Kai's character as well.Taylor is a very likable character but she needs to be a bit more kickass.Totally loved this book.Five huge stars for me.

Holy Hotness you leave us with that for the last line of the book?!?!?! I mean come on didn't we get emotional enough during the book?? Did we not fall for Zander even with all his quirks and perks and stuff? Taylor had mostly good points except where her boss was concerned. Kai oh Kai well dang (deep sigh is about all I got). This author just loves to send us for a spin and she does it well in this book. There were a few aspects of this book that just surprised me but with this author I know better, I know she will do something that leaves me shaking my head in wonder but proceeding to the next book. This is one hell of a start to the series, and there's a promise of more about these two in the books that follow which is awesome cos I needs more. Oh and don't think this author left us high and dry on the passion either, yup hotness factor is a rousing Whoop Whoop!! Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

I am loving how this author has stepped out of her usual genre to try something so new.
Zander and Kai are HOT with a capital H. what I wouldn't gice to be the middle of their sandwich!
Zander and Kai meet Taylor at a New Years Eve party that they attend as potential new clients. Little did Taylor know that this party would change her life and give her an amazing experience. There is some amazing mfm action going off in this book.
As the story progresses you get to see the dark side of Zander. Where his past comes to haunt him. Will Taylor be the one to help him see there is more to life than control?
I can't wait for Kai's book to be released, especially after that ending.
I am so glad that Danielle Dickson decided to step out of her comfort zone to bring us another great series from her.
