I don't like the "nice"ending of ant inviting grasshopper to live and share the food. I know it means to teach kids to share and help those in need but they won't know the truth. The truth is if you don't prepare or do anything, you may die. It is the same that facing global warming and environmental disasters, if individual doesn't contribute anything, then we all go to hell and those who don't try to mend, don't deserve being help.

Miss 7 enjoyed reading this and remembered the story well enough from other times she'd heard the fable to anticipate the moral of the story.

Miss 7 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.
