I enjoyed reading the first half of this book which is quite informative and detailed. Author delivered a comprehensive description of Hong Kong people’s transformations in self-identity & the reasons behind these transformations. The whole book was in chronologically order, so the first half was basically discussing the time before the 90s.
Unfortunately in the second half of the book which was discussing more recent events, I found the author was showing lots of personal bias toward those recent events. The point of view & the word choices was quite prejudicial that I doubt the accuracy of the information. Regret to see that the author couldnt deliver the same quality of content throughout the whole book.
