Rate this book
When charity man, Warren Perry, arrives in Silver Rock, Colorado, Grace sees right through his schemes. She’s determined to protect her family from his tricks. He’s set his sights on her sister, and he wants to infiltrate her father’s bank. Grace doesn’t believe a word he says, and sets out to prove he’s a fraud – even though he makes her pulse race and confuses her with his acts of chivalry. But when he uncovers secrets about her father, she doesn’t know who to trust. Danger surrounds her. She has to route it out before it destroys her family. Should she trust Warren? Can she lead him down the road of repentance before it’s too late? Endless Grace is the first in the Mountain Brides Historical Series, taking place in Colorado during the gold rush and silver boom of the 1800s. Filled with twists and turns, the focus is about extending grace, no matter what we think we know about someone. Each book in the series is more than a sweet Christian romance. It’s a story to inspire hope, and stir faith, as well as point us to God’s grace again. Coming soon, Lucky's Bride, Book 2 in the series! Fair warning: don’t expect this to be a typical Western love story. It’s much more. The theme for this fast-paced novella could well be “things aren’t always the way they seem.” The main male character (Warren) appears as more of an antagonist as a hero. He even professes to be a con man. The heroine (Grace) wavers in her feelings for him and gets into one scrape after another, chagrined that Warren usually is there to help her out of them.

Forced into an awkward situation with her family, Grace has to choose whether to believe Warren, who harbors too many secrets. Though the plot is a familiar “enemies-to- frIends and more” trope, I found the story engaging with several twists that kept me guessing until the end. Kudos to Tish Davis for this refreshing tale.
