There is a new name in the Romance Thriller genre in the country.

I was provided with a review copy of this book in lieu of an honest review by the author Adite and Harper Collins.

First of all, stars. I give it a thrilling 4 stars.

Romance married with thriller is a genre where many authors do not live up to the expectations. It is like a seesaw, they tend to incline on one side unintentionally. The story builds up with romance and goes towards thrill, never to come back.

Gentlemen, this is not a book of that cadre. Road chases do not end with shooting. The police does not come after the pack-up. The girl does not get a second love to interfere with the first.

In short not a book you thought.

Jumping lanes, diving bullets and tenderness of a love that gets a second chance. For me, it is hard to believe that this is Adite's first book in the said genre constraints.
The story buildup is one of the supreme class and the plot gets a laudable 5 stars from me.

Now, hang on.
Character sketches are neatly done with background stories. I commend the author for blending the architectural monuments of Rajasthan's heritage so fittingly into the story.

Events are a super integral part of a bristling mystery script. And I assure you there are more than you expected.

Scams, chases, romance, passion, bullets, muders.

This book had it all. The protagonist's inner dilemma of love versus duty and love along with duty is a job well done.

You may not have read a reader of such fine precision and focus as this one.

The royal families getting into corruption is something I wanted to read for so long. Pride can cause you to implode.

A neck-breaker of a book.
Passionate love story entwined with a lightning paced mystery.

No Safe Zone is a cream of the crop in this aforesaid genre shelves.

One Word: B.L.I.T.Z.K.R.I.E.G.

3.5 stars
Let me start off by saying that 3.5 stars is not a bad rating, I really enjoyed this book, but didn't love it as much. This book was really entertaining. And with its fast-paced action scenes and super hot romance, it was very close to get 4 stars. I fell in love with author's writing style. The writing of the book was definitely a treat for me, because every scene was crafted beautifully, and being a sucker for love stories, I fell in love with the scenes between Kabir and Qiara This book was also a very quick read, and I finished it in only few hours.

The story revolves around two main characters, Kabir and Qiara, who are once again brought together by a situation neither of them would have imagined. Qiara's life turns upside down since the moment she arrives in Delhi. She witnesses a murder, and after that there's only running from goons, politicians, and trying to save herself and the organisation she's working with.

I found Qiara's character to be very strong. During this whole thing, she never gave up and always fought with everything she had. I really admire characters like her. And right when all this starts, Kabir enters into her life once again. Kabir is no doubt the guy you'd want as your book boyfriend. He saves her from dangerous situations, is always by her side, and has all the swoon-worthy qualities!!

I loved the romance in this book!! There were funny dialogues, adorable scenes, catchy one-liners, and more importantly, the hot romance!! The romance part gets full five starts from me <3 I also like the way the background story, of women trafficking was handled in this book. It was a very huge part of the story, as it was later revealed, and I am happy with the way everything took place. Thought I must say that some revelations after 50% of the book to me completely by surprise! I am going to talk about the mystery part after this, but some parts in this book were really shocking.

Having said all that, I think that if the thriller element of this book was different, or more interesting, I would have loved it even more. The villains are shown immediately after some chapters, so it kind of dulled the mystery around it as I didn't have guess who was behind this whole murder. I would have love some mystery in this story, because the ending kind of felt flat since I already knew from the beginning who was that person. Other than that, there were many shocking scenes and revelations, especially in second half of the story, which I really enjoyed.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. And I am really looking forward to read other books by Adite Banerjie

I have read Adite’s debut romance novel Trouble Has a New Name which is a chick-lit and a romance that makes you sigh dreamily! Though I had read this book some 2 years ago, I am still smiling on remembering some smart and witty acronyms in the book and RBILs or The Rayna Book of Immutable Laws. So, when I got an opportunity to read No Safe Zone, which is Adite’s third book, I grabbed it immediately.

No Safe Zone is a romantic suspense and is the story of Qiara Rana and Kabir Shorey. Qiara works for an NGO in London which runs into some trouble. Qiara comes to Delhi , a city she had vowed never to return to. She is in Delhi to track down their NGOs biggest sponsor who seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. She needed some answers real fast but finds herself in a situation which is way beyond her wildest dreams and her worst nightmares.

Kabir works for an Intelligence Agency and is working on tracing a dubious businessman and his links to a ring of women traffickers in Europe. Amidst a murder and a gunman on the loose, Qiara and Kabir’s paths cross again. Qiara turns to Kabir for help, the man who stood her up ten years ago. Past and present collide in a deadly plot of crime and greed that moves from the cosmopolitan streets of Delhi to the bazaars and villages of Rajasthan. Their romance blossoms once again as they investigate and explore the horrifying crime of human trafficking.

No Safe Zone is not just a mushy romance but has all the ingredients of a ingredients of a Bollywood masala potboiler. There’s a murder and intrigue, cold-blooded crime bosses and their ruthless crimes, kidnappings and chases too. Though the story is predictable, but there are so many twists and turns, along with suspense and drama that the reader in me was enthralled and engaged till the very end. And that’s a big plus.

I liked the novel theme and the beautiful account of Rajasthan in the story. No Safe Zone also sheds light on the horrifying and lesser known crime of baby bazaars where children/infants being bought and sold like goods for adoption or child trafficking. Of course, the romance is sizzling hot!

In all, No Safe Zone is a fast paced engaging and a well written story with a dash of romance and thrilling intrigue too. Check it out for a delightful reading experience.

'Action packed romantic thriller' comes to my mind when I think about this book. In fact, it is action packed with a bit of romance. It is quite a ride and I enjoyed every part of it. The writing is fast-paced and clear. There is never a dull moment. The characters of Qiara and Kabir are spot on and lovable, especially Kabir .. sigh. The book is not just about the romantic pair. There is a good, fast paced story behind it dealing with politics, trafficking and drugs. I would have also loved to read more of the banter and loving between Qiara and Kabir.

Mysteries have a tendency to wither away if there is too much built up before coming to the point. No Safe Zone by Adite Banerjie plunges the readers straight into the nucleus of the mystery and Ms.Banerjie's Qiara Rana lands up in front of a dead body, runs into her ex-lover and has many shady characters chasing her right from the beginning.

Qiara is a London-based social activist who is furious when investigating officers tries to blame them for human trafficking. Qiara is still reeling in shock when their benefactor is accused of being involved. But when she goes to find out the truth, she faces many more unanswered questions.
And a dead body.

Landing up in a wrong situation at a wrong time can be killing but soon she realizes that there are people who are following her and she has no clue as to why and what they want from her. And in this journey lies my first peeve with the story. Her adventures had some very easy escapades. She is tough no doubt about but every time the timely arrival of Kabir stops her from being a firebrand that was part of the charm of Rayna from Trouble has A New Name, another novel written by Ms. Banerjie.

But where Qiara lacks in the feistiness, the chain of events that always follow her makes this story an interesting read. One of my favorites in this chain of unfortunate events was the broken wing butterfly tattoos. Here Ms.Banerjie uses symbolism to depict many small things. A child separated from her parents, a child marked for sale and a child yearning to know her past. This part of the novel has some major twists that would make a reader go back a few pages just to make sure they have not overlooked any clues.

“Kabir simply became a cry in her heart she never could get rid of.”
Such a beautiful line and just a small example of how lyrical Ms. Banerjie’s writing is. Along with that, she has depicted a few social issues and all the while weaving the chemistry between the two protagonists. All along as a reader, I know that Kabir and Qiara had a past. But a man of Kabir’s character leaving a girl cold and dry suddenly did not make sense. I had to know why he had done such an act.
So questions like why were these people after Qiara? And what was the picture of her father doing in the victim’s tablet and the relationship between her tattoo and a few missing girls – they sure will keep a reader turning the pages of this novel.

What could have worked better for me:
Keeping a balance between mystery and a romance in a romantic thriller is like walking on a double edge sword. Either the mystery element dominates or the romance subdues the “aha moment” of the treasure trail. Ms. Adite has done justice to a great extent but as a romance reader, I wanted more interaction between the protagonists. Their relationship had broken up earlier. I wanted to feel that pain hidden in their heart. I wanted to see how despite that they could not stay away from each other. I wanted a few more butterfly moments. Greedy me :)

Would I recommend this novel?
Of course, I would. A very well written book with impeccable language and plots and subplots that will leave you with a few nail-biting moments.

Being tired of the cliched love stories. I had reached a point where in I seriously thought of giving up the genre itself. But No Safe Zone proved that there are still some love stories which are unique, and sincere.
The relation between the protagonists is depicted such a way that the readers get involved. Authoress proved that it is possible to portray romance without being filmy. The narration is exemplary. The title of the book itself is a suspense. The book takes off in a slow pace but gains the momentum and towards the end the story becomes thrilling.
There is still true love in literature.

"No safe zone" is an exciting romantic- thriller . The story mainly revolves around qiara and kabir and their story will keep you hooked till the end.

From the lanes of delhi to the highly elaborated palaces of rajasthan, the story takes you on a roller - coaster ride filled with lots of twists and turns.

Qiara who works for an NGO called " Girls rock" and whose funding is under investigation when a major donor ends up dead. Following the money trail , qiara stumbles on kabir and his bike and they begin their quest in search of the truth.

I like the character of kabir also , the versatile crime branch investigator , who protects his ladylove from evil forces.

With crispy narration and over the top thrilling vibes and pinch of romance , Author presents a perfect exciting read for its readers.

The chemistry between the lead pair is beautiful and adorable. Book is surely a page turner , a fast- paced where each and every page increases curosity to explore it further.

Authors writing style is also quite engaging and gripping with lucid usage of language and brilliant vocabulary. Cover of the book is fascinating and it completly justifies the overall theme and concept of the book.

At last, I must recommemd this book to all the lovely readers to give it a try for once . I am sure you all are going to love this book.

Must read❤❤

A thrilling bike ride through Rajasthan.

Qiara and Kabir knew each other in a different life and now meet again in Delhi, India despite Qiara’s vow never to return to Delhi for this is where she met the love of her life and where he betrayed her.
Qiara works for an NGO Girls Rock! whose funding is under investigation when a major donor ends up dead. Following the money trail, Qiara stumbles into Kabir and his bike and so begins their quest in search of the truth. The narration slows down a bit as Bannerjie focuses on secondary characters. This recedes into the background for the pace of the story is always ramped up: there’s an intriguing tattoo, trafficking in babies and minors, an abduction and the involvement of her father who turns out not to be her father in the mix with polo matches, Vuitton bags and hot parathas. In No Safe Zone, kudos to Bannerjie for tackling a serious subject: that of the rampant trafficking of girls in India.

I‘m a big fan of Adite Banerjie’s romance novels, especially of “Trouble Has A New Name”, so I had been waiting with bated breath for a new release. “No Safe Zone” is a little different from her previous books, more suspenseful and overall written at a brisker pace with action and angst to mingle with the love story at its core.

Qiara wiggled her way into my heart stealthily instead of winning it immediately. Probably because there was such mayhem and I had the feeling she was a complete stranger at first. However, that didn’t make me like her any less. On the contrary, it made me feel as I were somehow caught up in the whole mess too, not knowing left from right and up from down. A few chapters into the book, fiery Qiara with her fierce determination, her vulnerable core, her energy and her smart, sassy mouth was like a good friend to me, and I was cheering for her all along, biting my nails.

Kabir is an awesome hero. Unlike Qiara, he had me fall for him straight away, and I only grew to like him even more throughout the novel. He is just the right combination of irresistible looks, confidence, intelligence, genuine care and tragic past to leave a lasting impression. A man like him seemed like the ideal match for Qiara, and it was a huge relief to find out he had valid reasons for standing her up years ago.

The villains were not that well fleshed out, but they all had their moments to shine and they were captivating enough. I loved they ingenuous way they were all linked to each other on some level, it made the story even more intricate and intriguing. I just wish their immense potential had been tapped into even more. The author has cleverly used the settings and the history / past of everyone to control the present, which advanced the plot. The romantic suspense was fast paced yet never forced.

The title had me a bit flabbergasted at first, reminding me vaguely of terrorism, but later on, it made a lot of sense. I think if you read between the lines, what shines through is that nothing in life is safe, secure and certain, and that we should not take anything for granted. Learning about Qiara’s dark past and Kabir’s fascinating secret as well the dynamics between the lead pair made me realize that. The background story of human trafficking underlined that, bringing to light the harsh and despicable reality in some countries. The use of the snakes was a wonderful idea, as were the other symbols in the novel like the tattoo.

I loved this book, but I felt it could have been a little longer and even more detailed, especially to let the evilness shine. However, there is plenty of struggle and a very satisfying happy ending, and the chemistry between Qiara and Kabir is positively explosive.

Our two main characters in this story are Qiara Rana a self dependant young woman who works for a NGO Girls Rock! & Kabir Shorey a determined intelligence officer. Girls Rock! focuses on educating poor girls in remote villages of India & other countries but they come under scanner as an investigating agency suspects that the NGO turns some crook’s black money into white, on the other hand one of the girls goes missing in India who was helped by the NGO. Qiara rushes to India to find the girl as well as gather some information about the donor & save the NGO’s reputation. But destiny had other plans as she witnesses a murder & then gets chased by the killer. The person who could save her is the same guy who she wished to never meet again as he already had betrayed her once. What happens when the past catches upon Qiara & Kabir? Will they be able to get to the truth & catch the bad guys? Read the book to know all of this & more!

Adite is one of my favourite writers. 'No Safe Zone' is a romantic suspence thriller which takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and intrigue.
When Kabir and Qiara meet after years, their lives have taken different routes. Though they had sworn to never trust each other again, that is the only way they can survive the ordeals they are forced to face.
Romance, murder, woman-trafficking, drugs, politics, greed...it has all the ingredients of a possible superhit Bollywood movie.
And yes, Hrithik as Kabir please. ;)
Directors are you listening? :)

No Safe Zone by Adite Bannerjie is a romantic thriller. It is an amazing roller coaster ride of action, love, betrayal and human trafficking. Every page has some new twists and turns which arises lot of curiosities in our minds. Lets get into the details:

no-safe-zone.jpg

Cover- The cover of the book is totally 'Filmy' and enthralling. There is a road where we notice and a couple is riding it. This actually makes us excited to open the pages of the book.

Title- The title is unique and intriguing and will add so many questions in your mind which helps in reading faster.

Blurb- Qiara Rana will do anything to save her mentor and their non-government organization from ruin. Even if it means visiting the city she had vowed never to return to. But within a few hours of landing in New Delhi, she is being chased by a gunman and is a potential suspect in the murder of a high-profile businessman.

The only person she can turn to for help is Kabir Shorey, the man who stood her up ten years ago. Past and present collide in a deadly plot of crime and greed that moves from the cosmopolitan streets of Delhi to the bazaars and villages of Rajasthan.

Plot- The plot of the novel is neatly woven. It is devoid of any loose ends. This is a story of two individuals Qiara Rana and Kabir Shorey whose destinies get reconnected during a case. There are many sub plots which later on merge with the main plot. The mystery of a girl's disappearance and leads to reach her further gets mixed. To add more, the background and life of Kabir Shorey is revealed in the end which clearly unfolds all the mysteries in the end.

Themes- This book is full of themes. The main theme is of Human Trafficking where certain kids start disappearing from their trip and are trafficked to some other places. The characters tries to uncover this theme. The next theme is of love. Qiara and Kabir are madly in love and their love has to undergo certain tests during the course of the story. Earlier they submitted themselves to destiny but when destiny or rather say the author planned to make them close, many nasty truths are uncovered. We also find traces of friendship, parenthood, dark pasts which helps in the progression of the plot.

Characterisation- The author has artistically portrayed her characters. The protagonist Qiara Rana is young and beautiful. She is enthusiastic about her venture. She seems attached to people but has a dark past. She is in a love denial mode when she comes across Kabir Shorey. On the other hand, Kabir is adventurous, handsome, pragmatic and loves his job. He also has a dark past and when he comes across Qiara, he is unable to control his emotions in front of her. It becomes realy tough to see his beloved as a suspect for the case.

Besides, there were many other characters and for this novel, I would add, the multiple characters didn't affect the plot construction infact it helped in making it more beautiful.

Style- The novel is written in a third person narrative with vivid impersonal descriptions on the top. The language is simple, lucid and has brevity in it. The sentences have a range of simple, complex and compund. Some lines are so beautiful and this whole feels like flowing river or rather say amazing flow of poetry. Some sentences are lyrical. While certain remarks add humour to it. Not only this, there were many twists and turns which makes the story totally unpredictable. The best part of the book is that I couldn't find any error in it.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. And this in no way impacts my views.

I didn't realise how symbolic the name and cover were till the end of the book. More than half of the book is spent by the protagonists on a bike and the name completely gets the point of lives being full of risk.

The blurb sure got my attention and coupled with the author's name, I was interested in checking out the book. I haven't read any of her other books but I have heard good things about the author. And I am glad that I have read her book now. Her writing sure did live up to the hype. I went into the book without any idea and came out dazed at the end.

The protagonists are strong characters. Qiara is determined, passionate and sassy while Kabir is confident and almost cocky in his behaviour and has a hidden tender side to him. While I liked Qiara immediately in spite of her unwillingness to trust because of her past, it took a while to warm up to Kabir. He did get on my good side by his actions to protect Qiara though he did irk me at times with his too charming self.

There were a number of characters to get used to, especially the antagonists. This is where I felt the author could have had given more details. While Qiara and Kabir were fully fleshed out, I think the antagonists were only partly dwelt on because of their parts in the story. The readers don't get to meet them till the end actually. Most of the time, we get to know them only from a third person's point of view. I would have liked a more valid presence and direct action by them. I was a bit disappointed by them.

The author sure does know how to get hold of a reader's attention, what with the blurb and then the beginning of the book. The entry point into the tale is rather abrupt. I was plunged right into a situation and then a helter-skelter ride into Qiara's present and past. The plot is rather fast paced and I wasn't given any chance to catch my breath. One after the other, the events pile onto each other leading to the finale.

I could literally see the electricity sparking between Qiara and Kabir. The chemistry is very hot and it sets the right touch of romance to the suspense part. The author's writing is pretty perfect. She has a simple coherent style which helps in imagining the scenes easily. The ending is well done leaving no unravelled threads. All the plot lines were neatly wrapped up.

I can definitely see myself reading her other books. I can't wait to see how she has handled pure romance themes in her other books.

My rating : 4/5

Adite Banerjie has stepped out of the contemporary romance zone and into the exciting and adventurous zone of romantic suspense with No Safe Zone. And you can tell she's had a lot of fun doing it.
Though the base-plot of the book is not fun, funny or amusing - it has to do with the protagonists of NSZ on a mission to stop a syndicate of human trafficking in Rajasthan, India - the romantic relationship is a lot of fun to watch as it unfolds.
Qiara Rana is a London-based lawyer/ social worker who comes to India on the behest of her boss to track down a patron of their NGO, Girls Rock!, who has been incommunicado for a few months. Ranveer Khanna is not only reneging on the money he's promised GR, he is now in financial trouble and is suspected of having ties to an organization that kidnaps, sells and exports young girls and babies out of India. The NCA is after him and by default after GR too because of it's association with Khanna. Qiara is sent to Delhi to get to the bottom of the horror, to get another patron on board, and also to find out what happened to a girl (Reshma) they had sponsored.
In walks Kabir Shorey, an officer with the Intelligence Bureau in India to save the London damsel in distress - or no, that happens by default too. :) Kabir and Qiara have a turbulent history and their first tete-a-tete after 10 years doesn't go well. Not at all. In fact, their first meeting involves gunshots and a very dead body!
Adite Banejie's NSZ is a wild bike ride across Rajasthan and one gallop short of fantastic. It has everything a reader can hope for in a rom-suspense novel - danger, death, betrayal, high stakes, polo matches, snakes (both of the reptilian and human kind) and best of all, a very sexy HEA! :)

Engaging, racy and extremely romantic are the adjectives which come to my mind as I finished reading ‘No Safe Zone’ by Adite Banerjee. It is commendable how the author comes up with unique locales and theme for each of her novels. While the setting of her earlier book ‘Trouble Has No Name’ is vacation cum wedding in an exotic beach resort, and now NSZ gives a flavor of crime and suspense with colorful Rajasthan as the backdrop, both of them cleverly intertwined with sizzling romance.

Kabir is handsome and dangerous, Qiara is sexy and daring. The combination sets the story on fire right from the word go. Qiara, trying to save her mentor and organization from the worst possible scam, lands in New Delhi, and then reaches Jaipur with gun toting villains after her. She meets Kabir, with whom she shares a love-hate history. Together they unravel and bust the highly powerful crime ring.

Qiara as a law student, working in an NGO shows spunk in handling the goons, and the truth about her birth. Kabir, an Intelligent Officer investigating a dubious businessman, fits royally well given his parentage and history. And when they come together the result is hot, sizzling chemistry.

The author has come up with intriguing elements of surprise at regular intervals in the story, maintaining the high pace set at the beginning. The skillful way their painful past and intriguing present are linked makes the plot highly entertaining. The romantic interludes as well as the action scenes come alive with expert narration and fluent language.

Highly recommended read for all who love romance, with some kick-ass action.

An America based NGO "Girls Rock!" suddenly finds themselves in the midst of a serious allegation of Money Laundering and Women Trafficking, because of the reason that one of their funders is a prime suspect. In order to clean up the mess, the main character of the novel - Qiara decides to trace the funder and clear their name from the case. While investigating, she bumps upon her ex-lover and destiny keeps bringing them together. The plot matures with how Qiara with help of Kabir (her ex-lover) solves the case and helps in clearing the name of "Girls Rock!" from the investigation.

Though the writing style is simple, which makes the book a fast page-turner, however, the plot in itself is not very strong. There are a lots of loose ends in the story. In the midst of a serious situation, you will find the main characters suddenly getting into a romantic act. Overall, I would say the book is just an average read - maybe a 2.5 rating would have been more appropriate.

Qiara Rana, London bred activist running a NGO Girls Rock came to Delhi for search of
a mentor. After landing in Delhi, she met with the person who used to donate for her NGO and then the guy got shot by someone and now the killer is behind her. She was running away from the police and chaser. She coincidentally met Kabir Sheroy, a inspector and her ex boyfriend who left her 10 years ago.

This is a romance thriller story which talks about the women trafficking. The author shows the beautiful city of Rajasthan also. The language of the book was simple to understand. The book is quite engaging as the story keeps you guessing throughout. I loved the book because of it's unique plot.

Feeling good after finishing this book!

That is, after finishing a thrilling adventurous romantic mystery and what not!!!! The book captures it all and satisfies you in full!

Both the leading characters are well portrayed. The writing flows neatly and the story is nicely sketched and is SOLID!

Thankful to the author, it is a perfect ride of fiction to get lost in to! (And love the book cover by the way). She delivers what she promises of the two characters in the beginning, creating a beautiful unique story where the characters have their own flaws. Hats off!!

Would recommend the book to all!

No Safe Zone is Adite Banerjie’s third book and probably her most entertaining. The suspense cum romance story focuses on Qaira and Kabir who have to zip from New Delhi to Jaipur while fleeing from danger and nosing out the goons. A lot of colorful setting, some sizzling love scenes and a fast pace defines this book. The villians could have been more three dimensional, but all in all, it is an engaging and fast read.

I received this book from the author Adite Banerjie and Harper Collins in exchange for an honest review

To be honest, when I began reading the book it did not captivate me but as I slowly turned each page and by the time I was done with about 20 pages I was drawn towards the capability of Adite Banerjie's storytelling. Dealing with a serious issue of women trafficking, 'No Safe Zone' is one of those romantic thrillers that are anything but ordinary.

The story begins with a serious investigation into the monetary dealings of the non-profit organization Girls Rock! One of their sponsors has been accused of money laundering and NCA suspects Girls Rock! might be a part of it. Qiara Rana, an honest worker of the organization travels to New Delhi to get to the roots of this scam and instead gets entangled in a serious case of murder. Kabir Shorey, an efficient officer of Intelligence Bureau with a messy past connected to Qiara is the only one who can help her out.

When Qiara and Kabir are on a run to find out the hidden truth and rescue the girls from the trafficking ring, they find that no place is safe. There are enemies and secrets latent in every corner and none who pose as friends are real. Hence the title of the story is apt. The question lies in every page, will they find a place which is safe for them? Will they be able to solve the mystery and fight back the threats?

The mutual attraction between both the protagonists is high and tense. With both having a terrible history of heartbreak, their desire for each other's company cannot keep them apart. We can see both Qiara and Kabir fighting with their instincts yet when they are together they can barely stay afar. Both of these characters need each other to progress and unravel the racket and there lies the strength of their relationship.

As for the thriller part, the book is a beautiful sequence of mesmerizing events. It is a sure page turner and I couldn't put the book down till the end. The description of different locations of Rajasthan is enchanting and makes a wanderlust like me want to visit them.

There were a few typing and spelling errors that could not be overlooked. A proper editing and a thorough proof reading would have sorted that out. Moreover, the cover of the book was not completely suggestive of the plot. Although both Qiara and Kabir travel throughout Rajasthan in a motorcycle, yet it would have been a better cover page if it gave an impression of the women trafficking or the exciting mystery within those pages.

The best part of this novel is Adite Banerjie's style of writing. It is fluent and lucid and allures the readers. Such storytelling potential is something we don't generally come across in the recent Indian authors. Throughout the book I have been delighted by her words and have been hoping that I could read more of her. She is one of the best storytellers among her contemporaries and I couldn't stop suggesting this book to my friends.

Action stories, detective and spy mysteries have always attracted me. A few of them have a hint of subtle love story too.

Author's note says, she wanted to experiment with action genre with some romance thrown in.

Having written two books for the brand Mills & Boon (The Indian Tycoon's Marriage Deal and Trouble Has A New Name), I guessed there would be a lot of romance with some action thrown in!

I read Mills & Boons only in college and that too because of peer pressure really...I was attracted to read books by Robin Cook, Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum. Honestly I didn't like the Mills and Boon one bit.

And I haven't even bothered to read the Indian editions...so this makes it the first book by the author that I have read.

This is the story of Qiara Rana, who settles in London post a heartbreak. She works for a non profit organization. With her mentor Samira and the organization coming under investigation for all the wrong reasons, she is determined to clear the name of her mentor and the organization from the scandal. She travels to India and finds herself being chased by killers, kidnappers and her past life resurfacing in weirdest ways. The story is also about Kabir, an intelligence officer who is investigating the organization Qiara works for. He too has a painful past with a part of it involving Qiara. The two lovers who had parted many years ago still in some way seek closure. Coming face to face, the dormant love flares up again.

With human trafficking as the backdrop, the story finds the two lovers fighting their past and the criminals together. The name of organization Qiara worked for is cleared and the lovers reunite.

As expected the story had quite some dose of romance and some action packed stuff. The pace of the story is quite steady and engaging. The criminal masterminds are however lost and have hardly much to contribute to the plot. The romantic scenes it seems are straight out of Mills and Boon only with Indian names.

I wouldn't say I loooveed the book but yes I wasn't bored to read it. If I had to point out thriller stories to someone, I would still go for the Robert Ludlum and the likes but for love stories sprinkled with some action, Adite Banerjie's book is quite good.

Good to read at least once in romance genre.

Review:
No Safe Zone is a romantic thriller and is the story of Qiara Rana and Kabir Shorey. Qiara works for an NGO in London but had to come to Delhi, when the NGO lands in trouble. It’s a city she had vowed never to return to, but she was ready to do anything for her mentor and thus goes about with the plans to track down their NGO’s biggest sponsor who seemed to have ditched them. Within a few hours of landing in Delhi, she finds herself in a huge mess by being a prime suspect for the murder of her sponsor and is also being chased by a gunman.

Kabir works for an Intelligence Agency and is working on tracing a certain businessman and his links to women traffickers in Europe. Amidst a murder and a gunman on the loose, Kabir lands up in the right place at the right moment. He becomes the savior for our damsel in distress. Qiara and Kabir share a romantic turned bitter past. As their past and present collide in a deadly plot of crime and greed, their romance blossoms once again.

Whoa!
I had read Adite’s romance novel ‘Trouble has No Name’ and had fallen in love with her writing. This time when she came up with a romantic thriller, it got my attention even more. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the suspense and thrill was build up from the word go. It is commendable that the author had picked up a theme as sensitive as trafficking of girls to develop her story. It kept me at the edge of the seat. The scenes of Rajasthan was beautifully captured and since I recently visited the place, it was as if I was re-living my travel.

I loved both Qiara and Kabir, though my heart is more tangled around Kabir- the handsome, passionate yet dangerous. Their stories are complicated and doubled up with misunderstandings. But in the end, Adite has untangled them beautifully.

Do I Recommend?
Yes. It was like experiencing a roller-coaster ride with the right amount of romance to spice up the story. The suspense and the thrill makes it an engaging read.

Qiara Rana will do anything to save her mentor and their non-government organization from ruin.

Past and present collide in a deadly plot of crime and greed that moves from the cosmopolitan streets of Delhi to the bazaars and villages of Rajasthan

Review
This is a love story of Qiara and Kabir, knitted in a beautiful way. The novel has suspense and thrill elements at certain points, making this novel a page turner.

The author, Adite, is already a settled and known personality and her writing style is quite fabulous. The way she writes stories, is remarkable. And, in this book too, she did a commendable job in the narration part.

The story and plot is simple, and yet connecting. The characters of the protagonists, Qiara and Kabir, are portrayed beautifully. The few twists and turns, the book delivers, are also worth the reading time.
The book is easy to read and certainly an entertaining one time read.

Kudos to Adite Banerjie, for crafting this romantic thriller for us!

Cover and Title

The book cover is attractive, and so is the title 'No Safe Zone'. The title is catchy and brings an urge to see what's inside the book.

Adite Banerjie, if I may say so, is a brave writer. After all, it’s not often that you see a writer comfortably set in his/her respective zones and genres, breaking the boundaries and making foray into an unknown territory. With ‘No Safe Zone’, Adite has done just that. She is famous and recognized as a romance writer, especially after her last novel, ‘Trouble has a new name’; and after reading that, I was looking forward to her next romance. What I got instead, was a surprise and a pleasant one at that. In a nutshell, ‘No safe zone’ is a story full of multi-fold suspense, racy action, a journey that takes the readers through dirt of a slum right to the palaces and golf courses in Jaipur; and of course, romance.

What I really like about Adite’s writing is the easy yet rich language she uses in her stories. It makes the narration even more appealing and interesting. The prose is so wonderful that if you read a scene and close your eyes, you can imagine the entire scene going in front of you, as if the characters had jumped out of the book and are now enacting it live. I know how the protagonists, Kabir and Qiara look, how they dress, how they walk, and even how they sound. I’ve met them, and thank you Adite Banerjie for introducing me to them.

I recommend this book to all the thousands of Adite’s fans, and to anyone else who is looking for a nice, easy, intriguing, thrilling, and a full-of-suspense romantic story.

I give ‘No Safe Zone’, a Four and a half star.

Child/women trafficking in India are very rampant. Daily we hear stories; we see on crime shows the torture, their heart wrenching stories. Some of them get lost in the vastness of this sea, while few fortunate ones are rescued and start their lives anew.
No Safe Zone is a romantic story with suspense as background or should I say its other way round.
Qiara, who works for a London based NGO - Girls Rock! embarks on a risky journey to find out where Reshma, the poster girl of their campaign had disappeared, and also why their main donor, Ranveer Khanna has suddenly gone underground. But what she doesn’t know that this journey will be like opening a Pandora’s Box and many past skeletons which were long deep buried in a closet will tumble out.
Kabir, Intelligence bureau officer, who is on a mission to unearth international women’s trafficking scam runs into Qiara whom he loved once upon a time. On one hand Qiara is a prime suspect in a murder while on other he must save her in process of unearthing the truth.
