To jump inside a bouncy castle is to risk falling… …in love.
Living in a tiny house built for one, Caitlin only has room in her life for Mr. Right Now. Even though the bad boys she dates keep letting her down, they’re a whole lot more fun than…
Dan dreams of his happily ever after. One in which Caitlin has a starring role. But women like her don’t fall for awkward, Star Trek-quoting men like him.
Despite their policy of avoiding each other, they are forced together to deal with an increasingly problematic bouncy castle. Dan has the chance to prove himself the hero, but will he save the day? And will his efforts be enough for Caitlin to learn she has room in her heart for a nice guy like Dan?
Diane Michaels is a harpist and author. She balances her fondness for ice cream with her enjoyment of working out and walking through the woods. When she is not spying on the world from behind her harp to collect ideas for her next book, she and her husband make up stories and songs for and about their miniature poodle, Lola.
This book is advertised as a romantic comedy, but it is actually chick lit. Through most of the book the heroine can't stand the hero and views him as an infantile introvert. That's not very romantic or sexy.
For those who like chick lit, this will not be a problem. For those looking for romance, it will be.
Caitlin lives in a tiny mobile house and has just relocated to her friends backyard. She has sworn off men after they keep letting her down. Dan, her friend’s brother, really wants his happily ever after. He dreams of Caitlin being his, but his geeky awkwardness makes it hard for him to make women like him. They end up forced together to deal with her friend’s twins surprise birthday party. They have to join forces to deal with a problematic bouncy castle. Will they be able to see each other in a different light?
This is a fun, playful, contemporary, romantic comedy between two unlikely people. This is part of the King and Queen Series. The characters are well crafted and complex, complete with strengths and weakness that make them interesting and engaging. You just want to find out if they get together. The author takes us on an emotional rollercoaster as the characters deal with their internal struggles, fears and insecurities and external obstacles. The narrative is wonderful allowing insights into the characters emotional state, motivations and actions. The storyline runs smoothly with humour, touching moments and the character development. My favourite part is how much the characters change their priorities as they focused on what is important. If you enjoy funny, witty, contemporary romances that pull at your heart strings, you’ll enjoy this book.

A cute romance set around a bouncy castle, what could be more fun? Caitlin lives in a tiny house in her best friend's backyard and has recently moved on from her last loser boyfriend. Dan is supposedly a "nerd" because he walks around quoting Star Trek (not in my mind...) and he is also the best friend's brother in law. Dan and Caitlin have been around each other many times and although Dan knows there's a connection; she hasn't seen past the scruff and quotes. It seemed pretty obvious to me from the start that these two would end up together. They had a couple cute moments but I personally though Dan could have done better. Caitlin only seemed to take any notice of him when he got a "hip" new hair cut and shaved his beard off. I was not a big fan of hers because of that. Though the premise seemed fun, it ended up being a little bit of a dud. Lots of repeating points and not much action, but the idea is there. I'd give this a 3.5 out of 5.
This was a sweet romance that was a quick, fun read. Dan, a much misunderstood loner, & Caitlin, a hopeful but thus far unsuccessful romantic, are thrown together about a bouncy house. The book has humor, a tiny bit of drama, romance that's all-age appropriate, & a nice plot.
🎂Cute, short, funny and warm😊 Is the Star Trek nerd boyfriend material?😏 July 9, 2019 Format: Kindle Edition 👍👍 I loved the wit and humor the author put into this short, sweet romance. 😍 Tiny house-living Caitlin is re-examining her modus operandi with the men in her life. Over a weekend child's 🎂 birthday bash prep and party, she's thrust into the proximity of her best friend's Brut-smothered brother-in-law Dan and finds he's not the irredeemable disaster she's always kept at arm's length. A party bouncy castle plays a key role in their interaction and introduces a piece of eye candy who risks derailing things: a perfect, low angst obstacle to make the happy ending all the better won!☺
🌈 A really enjoyable and🌞 sunny story despite some ⛅rain clouds in the forecast.

I totally enjoyed reading “King & Queen of the Bouncy Castle.” I like light, easy reads for fiction, as I read a lot of non-fiction for my job and business. This is the story of friends, family and a little romance. Caitlin, a graphic designer, lives in a tiny house on the property of friends with 2 young children and Dan is the (sort of) wayward brother of the husband of the friends. The story takes place over a few days and is told from the perspective of Caitlin and Dan. I know you will enjoy it. Recommended.
A sweet and pleasurable read! The plot and the characters held me still and I wasn't able to put it down. The theme of the story, about maturing and realizing ones responsibilities was actually of utmost importance. And though it is set in the span of just a few days, it was able to reflect how time does not define changes but acceptance does. And I was totally rooting for Caitlin to be immersed in Star Trek references. So yeah, it was worth a read and totally amazing!
