I really tried to turn off my critical thinking and just enjoy this for the guilty pleasure it is, but Hunter cheats on Ryder with Caesar TWICE before they even talk about having a third in the relationship, and it’s never addressed. Beyond that, I figured out Caesar was Italian and as gorgeous as a model a while ago, and did not need the constant references back to it in order to remember. The word count wasted on repetition would have been better spent developing Ryder and Caesar’s relationship, or even making Ryder relevant at all.

On paper, there’s a lot about this book and this trilogy that is intriguing and works well, but it’s largely lacking in development and justifications for why and how the characters act the way they do.

I wanted to wait until I read all three in the series before I did a review. The first one was catching and I enjoyed the banter and slow burn between Hunter and Ryder. I probably would have been okay with ending it there but it was interesting to see Cesare as a character though I was uncomfortable with a third person been added though it might have made sense if it had been Jake.
As you can tell from the blurbs that is not what happened.
I am not spoiling anything as the book becomes M/M/M. I would have liked Ryder to have more of a spine and shown a little more angst in book 2, Developing Desires. More of a challenge to Hunter.
There is a lot of sex which is rarely a bad thing but I would have liked to find out more about each character's past. Also where was 'fiery' Ryder-I never got to see him.
This is an enjoyable trilogy, I just wanted more from the characters, more from Ryder and perhaps more from the alleged love affair between Hunter & Ryder.

While I loved Hunter and Ryder together, Hunter finally accepting Cesare was a long and sometimes annoying journey. After Cesare realizes who Ryder is, I love that there is a spark between them, longing to be nurtured. Hunter's stubbornness was just as strong as Cesare's. The back and forth sometimes became too much, but all the same it all turned out for the better. Ryder is such. Darling to Hunter, but was an to unknown question to Casare as to what the draw was til he met him, then he fully understood. My only let down was that the book ended once they became the throuple. I would have at least liked a couple more chapters after that with Cesare teaching Ryder a thing or two. Lol.
