Last Wish
Red Blackwell, one of the oldest jinn alive, has only two more deals left to his name. Once the deals are gone, he’ll be dead, just ash in the ground. He’s resigned himself to the end. After all, he's spent too many centuries on this earth surrounded by petty, greedy, weak humans. But when he meets Cassiopeia Hawthorne, something shifts. She's different from most and for the first time in a long time, he is reminded of what it is to live.
Cassie’s mother always told her she had a psychic gift, but if that were true, how come she didn't see her mother’s death? Or the bonus heartache that followed when her boyfriend decided he no longer loved her? Cassie does not think of her abilities as a gift. She thinks of them as a curse. Moving to Blackwater was supposed to be a way for her to disappear into a city of strangers, where she could live alone with her grief. But all of that changes with Red.
When Red offers Cassie a deal, she says yes. But it only takes one wish for them to realize that Fate has other plans in store for them that not even Death can circumvent.

WOW!! What a great, heart-wrenching start to this series. I love this world that is being created and boy does Nikki know how to write steam and passion! This was a great opener to this series and I literally can’t wait to read the first full book in this series (as well as the rest of the books in this series, I’m sure!)

A cute little short story that sets up what I am sure will be an excellent series. Instalove, sexy scenes and some interesting world building, featuring a psychic and a djinn.

I love this universe a different take on how jinn live and love. Red and Cassie's story is so sweet and sad, but they have hope.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "LAST WISH" This was my first by Nikki Kardnov and I was very impressed with her writing this was a very interesting, entertaining, intriguing storyline with some twist and hot steamy scenes.
I loved the connection between Red Blackwell and Cassiopeia Hawthorne he was 900 hundred yr old Jinn and she was a psychic who could see into the future and she was his caeli or soul mate.
This was such a magical read that pulled you right in the characters were well suited to one another so much happens this is definitely a must read series it does end in a cliffhanger.
I can't wait to read the next book "THREE WISHES" when Ashley comes knocking on Dae Blackwell's door looking for help, she also has something to do with Cassie and Red she was in Cassie's vision of the future. AWSOME READ!!!!!

New to me author.
‘Last Wish’ is a novella in Nikki Kardnov’s Blackwell Jinn series.
I received this novella through Bookfunnel and thought I’d give it a shot, and I was hooked. This may be short and quick but so much of the characters and world was revealed. If the series is anything like this book then it’s going to be one hell of journey to read and explore.
Red Blackwell is a Djinn that only has two more deals left before he dies. He has been alive for over 900 years, he is ready for death but when he meets Cassiopeia Hawthorne, he tries to make a deal with Lady Death, to prevent him dying. Cassie is Red’s Caeli (soul mate) but now he can’t have her as he is on deaths door.
Cassie is a Psychic, she thought she was just intuitive until she meet Red and helped her to understand what she is. After making a deal with Red to “be able to feel”, they spend a wonderful night together. But in a inbetween sleep and awake state, Cassie has her first vision of her future, and she must do whatever it takes to help make it come true, even if it means using her last wishes and saying goodbye to Red.
Wonderfully written with great characters, meeting Red, Cassie and Reds grandsons was enjoyable and I can’t wait to read each and every one of the stories.

A new to me author and what a discovery! This lady knows how to write! I was asked to read and review this book by the lovely Nikki and all I can say is you won't be left disappointed! But I will say this, you will be left with the need to want to start the next book immediately! It's an incredible start to what is sure to be a truly epic series...
Its a hot and passionate story that doesn't leave you disappointed. The characters and the world within have been written beautifully and leave you totally immersed into the world Nikki has created.
I'm so pleased that Nikki asked otherwise I may have missed out on this phenomenal author!

Ok I’m effing dying here! If I love a book- I try to find it in as many forms as I can and I cannot do that with this series…I was able to find 1-4 on audiobook but how am I supposed to display my love for this series on a bookshelf with only an audiobook! And where is the 5th book! Why have I never heard of this series before and why tease me with it!!!!Gah! 💔

Four and a half stars for a great prequel. This is Red’s story and his deal with Cassie. It is a wonderful novella making Red (the grandfather) a more understandable character and filling in some blanks from Three Wishes. Waiting for Thorin’s book.

New to me author that has given me a look into what seems to be a series that will be a great story with some new to me things going on. I just love finding new authors that can brag me into the pages and let me get lost in a story.
