Jade is enjoying her solitude with the guys, surrounded by white beaches and lazy days. They are helping Jade cope with the emotional aftermath of what happened in Maryland, and becoming closer to her with each passing day.
But something changes.
Something is wrong.
Jade can't explain it, the guys don't understand it. Jade must leave her comfort zone to face the new challenges before her. She and the guys must learn how to balance safety, and trust.
With others.
And with each other.
This is a Reverse Harem novel, with mature content and language.
You need to have read book 1 of this series. I loved this book I loved how far jade and Pierce, Gavin, Alex and Kyson have come. I like they way they are still dealing with the trauma and learning more about themselves. Jade isn’t sure what’s wrong with her and why her body is failing and to make matter more complicated there is someone else she needs, will they be able to find them and will it help Jade? Find out by reading this fantastic book today! This is a 5⭐️ recommended read.
I am really enjoying this series. The writing is really decent despite the numerous and I do mean numerous typos or wrongly used words. Honestly this could just use a few read throughs of the words not just a skim. I highlighted some of the issues I saw. It really detracts from the story, makes me trip and fall right out of focus. Otherwise I am enjoying how the book is paced, how things are going. I can’t always predict what will happen though I saw some things coming. I am interested to see how the next book goes since we basically tied up loose ends here. Is the next book the last or will there be more? I have no idea but I do plan to read the next one next.
This book also has a bit of mystery to it surrounding their backgrounds and histories. Which has me coming back for more.
I would have rated this much higher had the typos been rectified prior to publishing.
This series has all the flavor and flair of a PNR, but instead of werewolves or vampires, we are gifted with “others” - iv won’t spoil what they are, just in case you haven’t read book 1 yet. It’s a bit sci-fi, while still being on Earth, and quite a bit action oriented. There’s some heat, but for actual physical completion, this is a long slow burn that will go into book 3 without sealing the deal. Reverse Harem, 5 guys, 1 gal, bound by fate, etc, etc. no insta-Love though, so bonus.
This was a pretty good second RH book. In this book we get some more answers in reference to Jade and her guys and of course she is who she is because this is how these series usually go.
The story was pretty predictable with that one exception that I did not see coming, but I am glad that Jade is finally with all of her guys.
Some parts of the book annoyed me because certain things were obvious and yet Jade didn't follow her instincts when she should have.
There are still questions that need to be answered and I hope everything gets wrapped up in the next book.
I really loved the character development from book one, and throughout this one as well. The interactions between the MCs are wonderful, and I absolutely loved the characters! Gavin has become one of my favorites, and I really enjoyed the extra insight to his character and seeing him open up and be vulnerable.
The author continues the series with this book, and it is much better than the first in my opinion. The hero’s have learned to give her more space and have a part in the decision making. They also respect her and her choices more, even though they are still protective. I am very glad I decided to stick it out and continue the series.
In this book, we get more information on the groups backgrounds, and why they act the way they do, and why they’re all connected. I really enjoyed finding out more about Jade and her abilities.
One thing I didn’t really like about this book and the first one, is how Jade reacts when she gets jealous. The guys show how much they care about Jade and ONLY jade, so I feel like it’s definitely an extreme reaction. Although in this book and the next we do get more information on why she reacts this way.
Overall, this book was amazingly well written and I really enjoyed the idea and it’s original concept. I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.
I'm so in love with this series so far. One more book to find out if this is a make or break series, but seriously, I'm so addicted. Read this in a day.
We are treated to everyone taking a little vacation while in hiding. Obviously things don't stay this way. But I don't want to give too much away.
In book 2, I won't go into too much into the main characters since I explained them a lot in book one's review.
We have new characters though.
Nara- someone who is the same species as the guys and of Jade. She gives Jade several pieces of information that can help them recover a lost piece to her health. We don't know much about Nara until the end. I won't be spoiling it.
Merrick- we know little of him and he's also associated with their species.
Roman....... OH ROMAN!!!! He is a HUGE part of this book and I cannot wait to learn more of his character in book 3.
Matteo (Mr. Bruno from book 1, remember he's the one they were supposed to collect information from then assassinate him but instead let him go) comes back into this book and he has a lot of connections to lead them somewhere that they need to go.
Tobias.... he's Matteo's son. Don't know too much about him but of his personality.
Lettie... don't know too much about her until toward the end.
Clive- don't know too much about him yet.
Charles is back and still his sweet self.
Growth of characters: I'm loving Jade's quick wit. She's slowly growing into a new self that I'm really happy to see. She's not afraid of expressing her opinions and she's starting to show a lot of strength. Alex is still goofy Alex but is having some sweet sentiments. Pierce... I did actually notice a little growth in him, he's trying to still protect everyone but not being so helicopter-y. Gavin, a lot of growth and revelations. I think we will see a lot more growth from him in book 3. Kyson, again, still very level headed and down to earth. I feel like his character honestly doesn't need a lot of growth. He does learn a lot more about himself though. All of them do.
A lot of typos and grammar stuff still. Biggest one for me is "breath" when she's meaning "breathe", which was the same issue in book 1. Honestly though, this was not enough to detour me from reading and enjoying. Girlfriend knows how to tell a story and keep me engaged!
I was unsure about this series after the first book. I didn’t care for how the guys treated the FMC. Things have improved thankfully. In this book we’re finally getting some solid background information and some progression in the plot. The FMC has also started to rock her powers. I really hope that she also tells those jerks of hers off at some point. They need a rude awakening.
I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series now that somethings have progressed.
I still like the story, but I find Jade to be really whiny and her men are a bit too pushy. There continue to be errors and formatting issues. All in all, it's worth the read but I am hoping it improves.
In this tale, we see Jade and her men on the beach, before once again, they need to run. After they stop running, it's like they can't stop. All of the running is intermixed with Jade getting really sick and on the verge of death. How will they ever get out of this mess?
I love this series.. I have reread the first book so many times and then I stumbled on the second and I couldn't contain my excitement!! I read it in one night!.. I love jade so much she is so stubborn at times but I do love seeing her soft side... the guys are all amazing.. I love them all equally.. I can't wait to here more about Roman and how progresses in the future.. can't wait for the next book!..
I was kinda iffy having another guy added to the harem but I'm coming around to Roman. I'm really glad this isn't another series where they just get captured. It's so refreshing that despite all odds there's positive outcomes. I love it! I hope there's more sexy times cuz altho I love the slow burn I do like some sizzle 🔥🔥🔥 I'm hoping the next book has more focus on HEA but with things left unsettled I know the action will come all too soon
A great continuation of the series! I was hooked all the way through and felt connected to all the main characters. My only complaint is I'm not a huge fan of the FMC discovering she's some long-lost princess/empress who has god-like powers. Thankfully, Jade still seems to have some limitations with her powers, and I hope she continues to do so and that she doesn't suddenly develop more powers that fix everything.
This was a quick read. Not as good as the first book. I can’t imagine this book series being 5 books. It feels like it may be one of those really stretched out book series. I’m definitely going to read the next book, but we’ll have to see about the final 2. I’m not big on series that last 5 books, but could have been finished with 2. So crossing my fingers that I love the next book. I also would still recommend this series at this point.
A great action packed storyline with lots of answes given mystery betrayal and a dash of heartache. I love how the guys are not yes men to Jade and actually stand up to her, it's refreshing for an rh to not have the men dote in the woman to the point of giving her anything and everything.
I read the first book in this series a few months ago and have been eagerly wait for this release since and it did not disappoint. The moments between Jade and the guys were great and had twist and turns that I didn’t see coming. Can’t wait to see what’s next
OMG I can’t freaking wait for the next book. I absolutely LOVED the first one but man oh man did this freaking BLOW ME AWAY!! Definite MUST READ for any RH FANS.....
The story building and character development is wonderful xx you go through their emotions with them and feel like your there fighting along side them xx loved it
Seriously though this book, these characters! I can't get enough of them. I laughed out loud and felt tears burning behind my eyes at other times. Why did I not know about these books before!
This book was powerful. I think I loved Jade in this book more than the first, plus her banter with Alex is priceless. I kinda saw the twist coming but not in that way. It's a good read.
This was a really good read. The characters. The awesomeness. Not to pleased with the new addition but who know. Maybe I’ll like it better in the next book. I felt they were already complete.
