Analise

Ever since the moment I first laid eyes on Drake Mitchell, something primal has been inside me, just below the surface. He came into my life when I least expected it, giving me things I never knew I needed before I met him.

It’s been six months since I took his hand and left everything, everyone I’ve ever known to be with him.

The decision wasn’t an easy one.

The path we took to get here was riddled with turmoil, tears and more heartache than I ever thought I could bear. However, I knew letting him walk away would leave me nothing but a mountain of regret.

Now that I’ve surrendered to him, my regrets are down to one.

Drake

Falling love with her was the easy part.

From the second I saw her staring back at me, I knew I was in trouble. Control, order, dominance… all the things I craved flew right out the window the moment her grey eyes found mine. Instantly, they were replaced with addiction, want, need...

The road we’ve traveled hasn’t been easy. In the past two years, we’ve faced more than most couples face in a lifetime, but it’s made us stronger.

She’s given me the trust I need to feed my dominant side. I’ve given her the freedom she’s always longed for, but was never able to find. We’re finally ready to start our life together, but in a new town with new people surrounding us, will we be able to hold on to everything we’ve had up until now?

Or will the compromise we’ve made be thing one thing that tears us apart?

The Compromise is book five in The Promise Series, but book one in Drake and Ana's story. Although recommended to be read as a continuation of the story, it can be read independently from Sophie's story.

Absolutely loved this book!!!! It will make you laugh, and it will make you cry! Drake and Ana have left Chase and Sophie in Texas to expand their business in Florida. You would think moving to sunny Florida would be a no-brainer, right? Not so much…Drake is working long hours, and Ana is lonely as she has no job and is struggling to find friends, even with Drake’s cousin, Emily.

I thought Kate Benson really did a number on me with Chase and Sophie’s story, but I think she was just setting me up for Drake and Ana. The problems were different, but the emotions were just as raw, if not more. She added Emily and Brad whom readers got to see a little in the later books in The Promise Series. Yes, they have problems as well. I love that Kate gives us these wonderful, human characters. Looking at them from the outside, they are all gorgeous and seem to have a great life, but there is “real life” going on underneath. I thought I knew Drake and Ana pretty well in the earlier books, but nope I didn’t. The overall theme in this book is control. Each person thinks they have control, but they are very mistaken, and it’s this need to have control that has the potential to drive each couple apart. As the title suggests, it’s compromise in life that saves us. But, will each of these characters realize it before it’s too late?

There are some serious issues within the pages of this book, but in Kate Benson’s capable and talented hands, they are dealt with sensitively. A truly talented writer can give us a great entertaining story, but also give us a life lesson, and Benson ALWAYS does that. Her books are never superficial, and that’s what makes readers remember her books and her characters. Their stories become your stories. And, as usual, Mrs. Benson has left us with one heck of a cliffhanger, but she always keeps me coming back for more. The Compromise is part of The Promise Series, but it can be read as a standalone; although, you may want to read the earlier books as you will get a better understanding of Drake and Ana.

Omg Omg Omg!!! Amazing is what I have to say.

Once again Kate Benson as pulled it out of the bag with Drake and Ana's book. It's a story with lots of passion and chapters that will send you on an emotional rollercoaster (yes tears were shed) but most of all it has characters you can't help but fall in love with.
If you've read Kate's previous books in The Promise Series (although this book can be read as a standalone) you will already be familiar with Drake and Ana and the type of relationship they have. This book also brings to life characters that were really only touched on in the previous books and I enjoyed getting to know Brad and Emily.

Its a fantastic 5 star read and one I will be recommending everywhere. As I said it can be read as a standalone but i would definitely recommend reading the previous books in The Promise Series first to get the most out of this book.

I LOVED this book! However, I'm going along reading the story, minding my business, when Kate Benson throat punched me with that ending! Congrats! You made the list of authors trying to kill me.

The Compromise is Drake and Analise's story. Drake is a sexy and fantastic alpha, and Ana is the amazing woman that loves him. The character development is perfect, with their layers being exposed all through the story. Secondary characters are awesome and really add to the story. Great storyline that flows very smoothly and will captivate you from the beginning. Angst, drama, SMOKIN sexy scenes, heart racing twists revealed, and love are some of the strong feelings I felt. Kate Benson did a brilliant job grabbing my attention, and keeping it cover to cover. Of course, I'm still mad about the ending so the next book can't come soon enough! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Compromise is a story chalked full of passion. Drake and Ana’s life is far from perfect. The troubled path that these two characters have traveled separately and now together is an emotional thrill ride. Starting over seems like the best idea at the worst of times, but with it brings a whole slew of other issues. Add in the addition of Brad and Emily’s dramatic relationship and you have the makings for a great book in a wonderful series. Kate Benson has delivered on creating an emotional and thrilling romantic series and novel.

Since starting The Promise Series, I've always been curious about Ana and Drake's relationship! Finally we get to know more about them! This is book 5 in TPS. I absolutely love Ana and Drake! This story shows a closer look into their relationship behind closed doors and it couldn't have been told any better! Kate Benson has blown me away once again! You'll also get a closer look into Emily and Brad's relationship! I love them so hard! They are hilarious! You'll laugh, cry,and possibly throw your kindle, but it's totally worth it! Can't wait for more! 5 freaking ☆'s all the way!
If you haven't read the other books in the series I strongly suggest you do first :)

I received this book for an honest review.
This is my first Book to read in the series although it's number 5, it can be read as a stand alone. The story as lots of passion and just keeps pulling emotions out of you. Drake and Ana don't have the easiest relationship and they find that if they don't compromise it might mean losing each other. I really loved this book and plan on starting at the beginning of the series and reading them all!

Promises

It's easy to make promises but hard to keep them, especially when you are ill and need help, I need to read the next book to see what happens and where it goes.
This series as been absolutely brilliant from book one with so many twists and turns, Chase and Sophie finally got their HEA, this book is Drake and Ana story with snippets of Brad and Emily's story, definitely worth the read. It does also end with a cliff hanger.

Kate has an amazing talent for writing, she gets you feeling what the characters are feeling the whole way through the story. The Compromise is no different, this is book 5 in The Promise series, but can also be read has a standalone. This is my all time favourite series. Drake and Ana haven't had it easy in their time together, will their compromises work for them or break them? You will be gripped from start to finish, with the twists that keep you turning the pages. You will laugh, cry and get extremely hot while reading this. This is one author I will always one click with out even looking at the blurb first, can't wait to see what Kate releases next.

My first Kate Benson book and i really enjoyed it, this book maybe book 5 in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone so no need to worry. This is a story of loving someone fully and making sacrifices but will making those sacrifices like moving to a new town be enough and will the relationship still be the same? This story is chock full of emotions and some sexy moments and at some point in the future because i have read tis book i will be looking at the other books in the Promises series.

I enjoyed this book. You get several different characters POV, which for me, was nice to know what they are were doing. Drake and Analise have great chemistry between them. With Analise hiding a secret, will that destroy them or will love once again prove that it can conquer all? The ending is, well, jaw dropping. I don't want to give anything away about that, you'll need to read it to find out what happens! The story line is well written and the characters are well developed. I'd recommend this one, especially if you like some steamy scenes!

.

So here we are at book 5 of this amazing series. The compromise starts out with ALOT of hot and steamy scenes, but I'm not surprised considering what we already know of Drake Mitchell! And what a dirty boy he is!! The further we get into the book, the more the dark shadows creep in, until that awful disease takes hold completely. Poor Ana, I hope she can fight this
