For as long as anyone could remember, the Drakos family and the Petrakis family have been at war. In recent years, after too much blood has been shed and Theodoros Petrakis’s oldest son, Andreas, loses his wife, both families decide to put an end to their war with an arranged marriage between Aris Drakos and Evangelia Petraki. But after Vlassis Petrakis acts on his own with multiple attempts to take Aris’s life, the pact falls through with both families still wanting peace. After Aris Drakos proposes to his girlfriend, Mia Williams, many people wonder whether an engagement between Pierce Drakos and Tatiana Petraki can stop the bloodshed in Athens.
Evelyn Jones is an aspiring fashion designer and assistant to famous fashion designer, Markos Ramos. When Markos decides to go back to his homeland in Greece, opening a boutique in the city and preparing for a fashion show for his spring collection, the ever-loyal Evelyn follows him there, not knowing that she’s not only following him to a new country but also into the underground mafia world of Greece.
Now that Pierce’s older brother, Aris, chose to give up his spot because he fell in love with an American, Pierce finally has the opportunity to prove to his father why he is worthy of being the son to take over their family business. In order to do that, he must get engaged to his long-time lover, Tatiana Petraki, and also complete the other tasks his father has given him, including the task of dealing with fashion designer Markos Ramos, who owes his father money. When Markos doesn’t pay back the money he owes, Pierce lets his anger get the best of him, bashing Markos into a coma. With the looming fashion show, and the need to complete his father’s task by getting him the money he is owed from Markos, Pierce decides to kidnap Markos’s assistant and force her to finish the rest of the designs for the show.
This can be read as a stand-alone, but if you want a satisfying read, and don’t want to be lost at certain points, it’s best to read the series in order, starting with Savior.

I enjoyed Savior but I absolutely loved Prisoner! It's been a little while since I read a book that really had me thinking afterwards but this book did that and more. Pierce is a ruthless monster and successor in a deadly mafia family. He's also adamant that love just makes you weak and that is one thing he'll never be. Evelyn is a shy designer that's been waiting 4 years for her boss to just give her and her designs a chance. She's in the wrong place at the wrong time when she meets Pierce and becomes his prisoner.
However, this is not your typical love story. I kept turning the pages because I wanted to see how these characters were going to develop. Bee Daniels took me on a journey I could believe. From the violence of the mafia world, to the scorching scenes between Evelyn and Pierce, to the mystery rivals, the honesty the hero and heroine always had with one another, and some thought provoking questions when it comes to love and what one will do when it presents itself. No, this was so much more than your typical love story and while I'm rooting for these two, I know that there is so much more of their story to be told. These two still have a long road ahead of them but I'm confident Bee Daniels will continue to do Pierce and Evelyn justice when we get the rest of their story in Book 3. Please pick up this book. You won't be disappointed. Yes there is a part 2 for their story but it is so worth the read and wait. Great story!

These two still have a long road ahead of them but I'm confident Bee Daniels will continue to do Pierce and Evelyn justice when we get the rest of their story in Book 3. Please pick up this book. You won't be disappointed. Yes there is a part 2 for their story but it is so worth the read and wait. Great story!

"This is not a love song..."
So Bee Daniels has quickly entered my personal IR Mafia romance top ten authors...with the likes of Mallory Monroe, SW Frank, Kenya Wright, Michelle Hardin, Sienna Mynx....you get the gist....Pierce and Evelyn's story surpasses Aris and Mia's....it has to...Pierce is a sexy monster incapable of loving anyone but himself...Evelyn is such a naive good girl....perfect in every way...perfectly played into the hands of her very own monster..Pierce..."Evelyn had fallen in love with the devil, and he had her heart so ensnared that she would never leave him. She loved him too much, and her heart ached without him, and she didn’t like who she was without him."...so true....and their story deserves another complete book....please Bee....no novellas...this is to good a story to be abbreviated...

Prisoner- The Blood War by Bee Daniel's" Freaking Amazing💘
Peirce is devistingly handsome. He's full of red flags making him far from perfect and still manages to surprise you with his good side occasionally. Peirce facinating, arrogant, conceited and confident. He is an unapologetically honest hot headed man.There is no pretense with this beautifully flawed man.
Evelyn is a beautiful compassionate and loyal to a fault lady. She can see the ugliness in people, yet she chooses to work around it not lying to herself about their misgivings. A talented lady. She doesn't know her value. She under estimates herself. It's not until she finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time that her and Peirce paths collide unexpectly setting her life on a course she'd never proposely choose for herself.
By placing fear in her heart to get his way, Peirce help her tap into that talent and he will see her shine and want it for himself because he can see that she is an amazing woman. He will surround her in a cacoon of warmth and safety filled with lust, passion, pleasure and pain. She's pure. To be loved by her feel so good that he will never willingly let go of her now that he's fully gotten a taste of unconditional love, no matter the cost to him or her.
Evelyn and Peirce will unintentionally corrupt each others hearts in ways neither never saw coming.
Teathered together. Evelyn will now have to learn how to survive that love and still keep her shine while holding him down. There isn't anyone that sees him like her. And now that he has seen and basked in her light it's not something Peirce never ever let go of. He is hers and she is his.

**Re-read August 2020**
Wow! Now THIS is a dark mafia romance! Very well written! When you find yourself thinking about the characters and story of a book and can't wait to get back to it when you have to take a break for whatever reason, you know it's a good book. This is the definition of a complicated love story, between Pierce and Evelyn. Pierce is not easy to love..much less, like. He's a dark, messed up man. That's all I can say. You, as the reader, will have so much empathy for poor Evelyn. She's a sweet young lady, just trying to realize her dream of being a fashion designer and yet, somehow, she has the fortune or misfortune of getting mixed up with someone like Pierce. He's ruthless and damn-right awful to her in the beginning, but her sweet and kind nature sort of melts the ice around his heart...sort of. Bee Daniels was right in saying their story deserves an additional book because it's A LOT. This ain't no frolic in the fields of flowers type love story at all. Plus, you get more details into the mafia backstory in this book, as opposed to the first book in the series that focused on Aris and Mia. I'm looking forward to reading more about Pierce and Evelyn and also who is "The Beast"? Really great story here.

Too wordy and long
I knew Pierce would have a lot of story to tell and almost 500 pages later it’s nowhere near complete. While I enjoyed aspects of Evelyn and Pierce, this couple was draining. The story just dragged on and on and I frankly don’t care to know where they end up. Pierce never became likable so I couldn’t connect Evelyn falling for him. Not sure I will read their next book but I would be interested in Niko’s story.

Surprised. Pleased
I read so much, all of my life. A 'Read-o-holic'
I like this series. I think I might even like this author (I have like a 1 series but sometimes none an author's other work) too early for me to know yet.
Book 1 - was good, well written, richly developed characters, believable love story. Alpha wound, girls savior.. like I said, good.
Book 2 - Asshole Alpha (with rage issues) sweet innocent girl... but this story has more depth. I liked the heroines evolution. I like she choose herself, I like his "spots" didnt change. He is her monster now.
Summary/note to author..
Write faster, since you write so promisingly. I want to see where this goes.
Also I have $5 on who Beast is...
But book 1 & 2. They are worthy

Luv, luv this series, can't wait for next book!
It was very good reading . It's been a long time since I picked up a great book at 2am to read anticipating what's going to happen next. Both books were excellent yet so different. I enjoy reading about handsome Greek brothers and their beautiful, black, love.

Pierce is....wow
When I started reading this book I thought to myself she couldn't possibly fall in love with this man that had a gun pointed to her head but as time went on I could understand how she fell for him. I love a good dark romance novel and this book had me laughing, cringing and had me falling for Pierce too. I loved how he built her confidence and I love all their make out sessions. I can't wait for more I wish we got more of Aris and Mia as well. As I was reading I was wondering when they would make an appearance. I was happy when Mia and Evelyn had their moment.

This is what I'm talking about. The characters were strong and do what real gangsters do. There were some unanswered questions I hope will be answered in the next book. There were some typo's here as well

This series has it all and you experience every emotion capable as you read Pierce and Evelyn’s story. Pierce is a hard man to like but he winds his way in your heart and refuses to let go....this is a must read...hold onto your seat this is going to be a long ride!

Okay, so I didn't know where to begin because I read Prisoner more than two years ago, but it came up on my kindle's recommended list, and I thought, "It must be a sign to write a review," right? Anywho, Prisoner follows Pierce a ruthless mafioso/arsehole and Evelyn an inspiring designer.
The story begins with Evelyn, who works for Markos, a fashion designer. Evelyn is originally from the United States, but when Markos decides to return to Greece, she follows him in order to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Markos, on the other hand, is a complete jerk to her and treats her like garbage. Markos treats Isla (new assistant) fresh out of college, much better than Evelyn, and gets her design approved. whereas Evelyn is constantly insulted by Markos, despite being far more talented. Can you guess why? Markos is sleeping with Isla. SHOCKER 😱😱
Are we surprised?? Men will always sleep with the young and impressionable.
Regardless, Evelyn is working on a design when she hears Markos and Isla kissing in the hallway. She obviously does the responsible thing and hides beneath a desk. To make a long story short, Pierce enters and murders both Isla and Markos because Markos owes the Drakos money. Fortunately for Evelyn, Tatiana (Pierce's girlfriend) persuades him to let Evelyn live so she can finish Markos's show and he gets his money. It's a win win situation. And that’s how Evelyn becomes involved with Pierce and the mafia.
Pierce is no prince charming: he's cruel, brutal, and possessive. To be completely honest, I couldn't picture Evelyn with Pierce at first. She was compassionate and kind, but she also had a sense of self-worth. I admired her refusal to accept disrespect, and regardless of how much she loved Pierce, she would pick herself even when it meant a broken heart.

Much better
I will write a better review after the next few books are released and I have read them....... I struggled with this book but it was better than book 1. While the first book in this series was good, it still left the reader wondering and felt like it was not complete; like it was rushed and something more was needed. Aris and Mia's story should have been more than one book. Maybe, there will be more to them in future installments......I really didn't like Pierce and I didn't like Giannis or his wife. Those characters are a bit much. Aris, from book 1 was great. Pierce was a spoiled brat. Hopefully, he will mature more as the story develops. Pierce has potential but he needs to grow up. I also don't like how Giannis pits his sons against each other. In order to survive they will need to be a family. And Pierce, for all his talk of loyalty, has none, in my opinion. The way he treated Aris and his men illustrated that. I am not sure how the author will reconcile things in future books but I hope she does. As for Evelyn, I liked her character and I cannot wait to see how she grows. Hopefully, it won't take too long before future books are released. What happened to Tatiana was a fitting end. Her demise was on her and she should have dealt with long before she got her self inflicted comeuppance......For now, I will continue to follow this author.

The Readers are Ready for More
I see why this made Keisha Ervin’s ‘Top 15 Books for 2019’.
I love how the foundation of their relationship dispute the gruesome start. It really all started with the intimately subtle touches and small conversations that turned into a relationship more sexual in nature. I know a few readers discredited Pierce because he’s as an ass but you can see how he was slowly changing all his relationships. With a man like Pierce there’s no such thing as “overnight change”. Shoot, he was inadvertently beefing with his whole family and was ready to die at any time with the choices he was making. I also enjoyed Evelyn and her growth , she may have seemed naive to some but she was always adamant about what she will and won’t accept. With her being sound in those decisions it gave her more power than she realized although , I knew she wasn’t getting on that plane.
I’m glad Evelyn and Pierce will have more than one book. I’d love to to continue reading about their growth and watch the dynamic of their relationship change. Towards the end of this book you can see the subtle changes in him he’d been an inconsiderate and unaccountable for to long to just change so subtly.
I’m also to see how the dynamics will change now that all the siblings know about each other. How will Giannis life change now that his family knows his secrets?

This is not a review. Cuz I'm not very good at writing reviews. Some folks can write a detailed review. Not me. These are just my thoughts. Loved it. By the time I got to the last chapter I was like this book needs a part two. After i read the author's note I agreed this couple does have more to tell. I want to see Pierce let go and truly experience a loving heart. I saw some tiny, very diminutive glimpses of love trying to break though. I think I loved this story more than Aris and Mia. Come on Bee Daniels. Please dont make us wait to long but in order to do the story justice you gotta. I'll be waiting. Thanks for a wonderful read. Be Blessed. Sharon

Hurry up with book 3😜 lbvs
I'm so ready for book three. Evelyn and Pierce. I feel as if Pierce needs to grow up. He finally recognizes Aris as his brother after all of that pettiness for a position in the family. Aris loves him no matter what and I hope that in book 3 we see a stronger bond form between the brothers. I believe that The Beast is Demetrius. I hate that this war is about to happen. Why hasn't Mia reached out to Tasha? Will we see more of Mia and Aris? I love Nikos. Vicky is too darn bitter! My goodness, let it go already. Anywho...let's get book 3 out there asap!

Why would a good person want to be with Pierce. Unfortunately Evelyn even knowing Pierce was not a caring person, she still stayed. His people around him and knowing how he was told her he was too hot headed and was not good enough for her.

Finally!!!!!
There are some books on Amazon that I’ve read and felt would never end, but not this book. No this book had me stalking the percentage of the remaining pages and praying it would be more rather than less. Not once did the author betray her characters by using them for plot tools or a shoddy plot line. Every one of their actions stayed on point with who they portrayed themselves to be from their opening sentences. What a read! I can’t wait until the next book drops!

Obsessed With This Series
This book was interesting. I was hooked early on and could barely put the book down. I’m actually happy that this book will be a two part. I agree that the characters still have a lot of growing to do together and individually. You can see yourself or people you know in the characters and the mafia backdrop keeps the suspense to an all time high. Now I have to anxiously wait for the next book.....

OMG!!! I'm flabbergasted!
Where do I begin! Pierce is my new book boyfriend! Yes he has anger issues but I think that will pass. He is 100% Alpha! Evelyn is such a sweet girl . She knows how to handle Pierce . However blood is about to rain in Athens it's about to go down!!!! This was absolutely the best book that I have read in a long long time! I cannot wait until the next book!!!

Absolutely loved this book. This is the first review I have felt compelled to post but I couldn’t resist given how much I liked this story. I reread it again! The main characters were just so flawed but endearing, passionate, and clueless about their love (especially Pierce!) oh I can’t wait til the next book to see how he finally figures out what Evelyn really is for him (can we say LOVE?!) When oh when does the next book come out!!! I can’t wait!

First of all I'm glad that you didn't rush the happily ever after. Clearly Evelyn is not happy but in love with a monster that she can't get away from. Pierce has no problem showing everyone the person he truly is. Can't wait to see if my hunch is right on who the beast is.

Wow
Two people trying to find their way in life. Pierce and Evelyn coming into there own with life lessons. Can't wait for the second part of this book. There is so much that these two have gone through, but you can tell this is not the end of their story. It's a true coming of age story. We all have to learn who we really are and how we can deal with our decisions in life.

Everyone loves a bad boy and Pierce is the baddest and craziest of them. Evelyn too sweet but we shall see how long she stays sweet. I am glad that damn Tiatana is gone. I can't wait for the next book. The beast...I wonder??!!!

Conflicted over 4 or 5 star rating. Pierce was an ass, a monster ass. He is everything you think of when you think of a mobster, kills with no conscience, arrogant, dominant, demanding.

Great Read
Loved this book and the characters. Can’t wait for the next book. I loved the truthful, dangerous, and complicated Pierce. It was great seeing Evie come out of her shell and still be her true self.
