📒🗞 This is romantic and entertaining. Rachel and Thomas are the perfect couple, and they each found what they didn't know they needed in the other. The storyline is amusing and I really enjoyed reading this. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Ms. Brouder is one of my few authors of choice for sweet romances. I love the fact that she tells an interesting story without the Stupidity Formula that so many romance authors use in their ridiculous books. The characters are good people who act like grown ups instead of idiots who cannot communicate and are always negative in their thoughts. See each book for my complete review.
Escape to Ireland Series: A Match Made in Ireland, #1 - This must be my favorite story so far but I have enjoyed all that I have read by this author. Of course, I enjoy the Irish setting, the good dialog and the sweet romance. 5*
Her Fake, Irish Husband #2 – It’s OK, not my typical reading material but it is set in Ireland, enuff said. This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed the book. The storylines are well written and interesting. The characters are likeable and realistic, and their dialogues believable. Humor dances throughout the pages. The descriptions of the manor, the village and Ireland are so clear; it is like being there in person. This is a feel good read and I hope to read the rest of the series. I did have a problem with the over use of the earl, which should have been the Earl; it felt like name-dropping. 4*
Her Irish Inheritance, #3 - Maeve knew what she was doing when she left her home to her nurse. A sweet, well written romance with loveable characters, interesting story lines and set in Ireland. Caroline knew she was starting a new life after her divorce and discovering a new life she did. 5*
A Match for the Matchmaker, #4 - It happened. The first time a character by this author was stupid. Sadly, she is joined by him in that department making a pair of eejits. But the rest of the story is funny, entertaining and full of interesting events and characters. 4*
Home, Sweet Irish Home, #5 - A wonderfully sweet, happy story with loveable characters and good story lines. The Yank is too good to be true but he is at that. A good range of emotions, especially when a terrible event happens. Love is everywhere. 5*
An Irish Christmas, #6 - I saved this book for Christmas day. It was a lovely addition to a lovely day. The 84-yo grannies were the perfect partners in crime setting up their grandchildren. They claimed they were not matchmaking. Yeah, right. Full of fun and love, even with the anger. 5*
Her Great Irish Escape - A fun, sweet story that is hard to put down, luckily it was easy to read with bits of Ireland's local life mixed with the tour bits. 5* Escape to Ireland Series end.
A Whyte Christmas - A funny, sweet way to spend the night, a written Hallmark. 5*
Escape to Hideaway Bay - Another interesting and fun filled second chance in the making story. 4*
Snowed in at Christmas - An enjoyable, sweet start of a romance between two people with a bit of luggage each. 5*
Rachel prefers reading a book and watching the rain to travel. She loves her job at Bixby International solving problems for her clients. Thomas, Earl of Glenbourne, approaches Bixby because he needs a wife within the week, one who will stay married to him for 90 days so he won’t lose his estate. Rachel realizes not only will she solve her client’s problem if she marries the earl, but she’ll be able to use the bonus to help her friend build a new, much needed home.
Her Fake, Irish Husband is exactly what you get. Strangers become friends and fall in love. At first, Rachel is miserable. Despite loving the area, she’s got little to do and misses her family terribly. But in time, she finds ways to connect with the staff and villagers, much to the dismay of Thomas. Thomas views the marriage as a business transaction and gets upset with Rachel when she makes changes to the manor. Getting to know one another is a lot of two steps forward, one step back.
The book is sweet, and I honestly enjoyed the slow, cozy pace for a while but only to a point. But when both characters realized they were falling in love with the other, yet there had been no talk about feelings or even a kiss, I was disappointed. I don’t feel the author made a strong enough case to claim love. I also got very frustrated as Rachel’s return date crept closer and closer, that neither would talk about their feelings. I was really annoyed with Rachel because her only reason for not telling him how she felt is “if he wanted me to stay he’d ask.” Meanwhile, Thomas doesn’t want to express his feelings because he knows she misses her family.
Narration: The story is shared via the alternating, third person POVs of Rachel and Thomas. Peterson uses the same low-key American-accented female for the narrator of both POVs. Peterson alters dialogue is altered based on gender and nationality and does a great Irish brogue. Most characters are distinguishable from one another. Peterson adds some emotion during heightened times. However, overall, the narrator speaks slowly and quietly, like put you to sleep soft and gentle, and it didn’t match the tone of the story at times.
In the end, Her Fake, Irish Husband held the promise of a great fake relationship romance, but fell short in its development.

Not too bad. I wanted to read a romance book on my Kindle and I just decided on this since St. Patricks Day is in a couple days. 😂
There were a lot of things I'd change about this book, honestly. This author had a lot of opportunities to create cute, sizzley scenes, but then just quickly rushed through it or skipped them entirely. I felt like only 15% of the book had any romance at all. 🤷🏻♂️ Thats a lot of wait time!
The arranged marriage trope was set up pretty well. That's hard to do when it's a contemporary romance. Thomas needs a wife by age 35 to inherit his family's wealth and grounds, finds Rachel's company to ask for help, and Rachel decides that with what little time he has before his deadline, to volunteer herself for the job.
This book had SOME cute scenes between Thomas and Rachel, but overall it was really lacking. This whole story just felt like it was about Rachel learning how to live in a manor and control the hired staff. There were too many scenes with the staff, randos from the village, and other people! There wasn't enough content between Rachel and Thomas.
The ending was really badly done, also. It was rushed and boring, and then the epilogue was a waste of time.
Things that were annoying:
1. Rachel was in Thomas' business too much and no one asked her to take care of the manor or problems with the hired staff. She set up events in the manor without even talking to Thomas. 2. Rachel and Thomas both flying to see each other (she went bak to Ireland, he flew to New York) at the same time and then missing each other. So unrealistic and pointless, hahaha. 3. When Rachel got sick and the author wrote about her throwing up all over the place. WHAT THE HECK? This was gross and unnecessary. Seriously, she was throwing up in the lawn, off the side of a GOLF CART, in a bucket, and then in bed. WHY, just why?
Anyways, the plot was great but just poorly executed. You're left wanting way more romance but instead you get short scenes that could've been way better, longer, or more sizzley!
I read a lot of romance, so I'm not unfamiliar with the trope of a fake marriage. This particular story, however, is an absolutely delightful spin on the theme. Rachel, the heroine, is a go-getter at her problem-solving company, and when an Irish earl, Thomas, comes looking for assistance finding a fake bride so he can hold on to his inheritance, she decides she is the best candidate for the short-term contract. It will also allow her to help some friends who need money. Thomas is a little taken aback that she has put herself forward, but Rachel's boss believes it is a brilliant solution to a problem that needs fixing in less than a week. What made this story so fun was the banter and interaction between the characters as well as the fact that it actually did take them some time to develop feelings for each other. This is no insta-love book. Instead, they are two very different people who don't come off to each other necessarily very well at the beginning but soon prove themselves to be better people than the other one first imagined. Rachel also helps Thomas navigate the press and deal with other issues. In the manor, Rachel has some problems that she must work through with the staff. There's also some great humor with one of Thomas's friends, Sammy. I wish he had more page time. I loved what we saw of Rachel’s family. The various relationships in this book felt authentic and relatable. If you enjoy the fake marriage trope, you will most likely enjoy this very well-done take on that theme.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Thomas Yates has to be married before his next birthday or he will loose his family holdings in Ireland and one more thing He is the 12th Earl of Glenbourne. So he seeks out Bixby International to solve his problem it has to be kept completely quite know one can no the reason for his sudden marriage andcits only 3 months.

How is she going to solve the Earl's problem well offer herself as his new wife and it will really help a friend out she desperately needs money to help her husband who suffered a terrible accident.

Some of the estate's staff are cold and rude as well but Rachel doesn't give up easily soon she wins over the staff now if her husband would stop being so restrained.

What a lovely novel. This is the first book I read from the author and I want to state, what a pleasure it was to read this work. The two main characters, Thomas Yates, aka, Lord Glenbourne and Rachel Parker an American, were impeccably described and developed and it was really easy to look into each of their personalities and therefore understand their actions. She is a natural born problem-solver and that is exactly what the earl needs. She has one week to find a wife for the earl or he'll lose his Irish estate that was in his family for hundreds of years. Naturally one week isn't enough and Rachel takes on the role in order to help her friend financially. The idea of fake wives or husbands to maintain a financial hold on one's inheritance is not new but this book has a kind of natural, fresh approach to the plot. Rachel's life philosophy and approach to people allows her to ease into life as Lady Glenbourne is so effortlessly that she leaves a lasting impression even with the villagers. She injects a much needed flexibility and people skills into running such an estate. The slowly growing affection and respect between our heroes is very well presented and Rachel's personality is spot on for the role as lady of the manor. Thomas finally realises that and we are rewarded with a HEA. This is a very well edited, charming, heart-warming, clean romance which will give you hours of reading pleasure.

A very good book by an author I haven't read before. The story was well written and seemed to capture the emotions of Rachael as she embarked on her journey to Ireland and the small town she ended up staying in. Thomas, the Earl of Glenborne, is also well written. He's a man with a problem. He must marry in order to keep the financial part of his inheritance. Without it he cannot afford the upkeep n Glenborne. Rachael agrees to be his wife for 90 days and proceeds to move to Ireland to Glenborne Manor.
She falls in love with the village and its people. With its colorful exteriors and thatched roofs, the village is nothing less than charming. The people take to her and welcome her with open arms. Thomas is a different story. He's disturbed by her actions because she appears to need to help everyone completely disrupting his life. However, this is a love story so naturally sparks fly and they have their HEA.
Rachel Parker is a problem solver for an international company and she's pretty sure she can solve any problem thrown her way.
Thomas Yates, who happens to be the 12th Earl of Glenbourne in Ireland has a problem that needs a solution. The problem is he needs to be married by his next birthday, which is in a week, or he will lose his inheritance. So he decides to hire an international problem solver to come up with a solution.
Rachel to the rescue as she is sure she can fix his problem as well as help a good friend at the same time. As they are working to solve his problem, they begin having feelings for each other. Will Rachel be the solution to the Earl's problem? A fun and enjoyable read to add to your summer reading list.

*Spoilers* The story was good, but could use some polish, and editing.
Why was the priest introduced so prominently, asking the couple why they hadn't got married at the village church, and were they going to do a church wedding? The whole thing with the priest really goes no where and he's only mentioned one time after that that I can recall.
I noticed that there was no mention of the morning after the party at Teddy's. Had the newspapers got wind of that it would have been front page stuff. Word would have gotten around about that. "Earl Defends Wife's Honour."
The epilogue would have been more interesting if it had pertained to them getting ready to have a wedding at the church, with all their family and friends, and much of the villagers as witnesses, rather than just them running to the bedroom.
Could I temporarily marry someone in name only for a million dollars? Rachel didn’t even make that decision for herself, but to help out her friend and I admired how she continued to put others first throughout the book. I didn’t like Thomas at first. He came off as rude and standoffish, but her generosity and thoughtfulness softened him. It sounds so romantic and the stuff of historical romances marrying a lord and become a lady of the manor, but there were a lot of rules and I wouldn’t have wanted to deal with the press commenting on my every movement. I loved Thomas’ Irish wolfhound Max and banoffee pie sounds pretty yummy. There were plenty of funny, some suspenseful and anxious, and sweet romantic moments in this Irish romance.
A true romance, clean and wholesome! by sewsummore
This was a true romance, clean and wholesome with wonderful characters that came alive within the pages of this story. Sometimes what we really need is the one thing you least expect and this was what had happened to Rachel and Thomas. Married first and then getting to know one and other, their strengths and weaknesses, their hopes and dreams. In a world where sex seems to make the world go round, getting to know the person you fall in love before falling into bed with them seems outdated but sometimes the old ways are the best ways after all.

I really liked this book. Rachel was always putting other people first in her life, what she felt didn't matter. And Thomas needed someone to open up his life and show him that there was more to life than we limit ourselves too. I loved them together, they each brought something from the other to the surface, they complemented each other so nicely. And at the end, when they let the othet escape without saying how they felt ARGHHHHHH. It was so frustating but I freaking loved it when they both went to the other's country and missed each other PAHAHHAHAHAH, it was hilarious, but it also showed that they were both willing to fight for what they felt and weren't scared anymore
There's a touch of Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth and Mr Darcy; a little bit of Beauty and the Beast. It was so endearing, charming, exciting, swoony, and engaging! The storytelling was top notch, causing you to fall in love along with them... and when he realizes his feelings for her, you feel the emotions so strongly on the page. There is bed sharing, some kissing, but that's all and they are married the whole time. This is a very clean, sweet, and respectful book. Well, except for the very protective scene where he makes it clear no one is to speak badly about his wife.
Rachel Parker works for a international company as a problem solver and there is no problem that she thinks she can't solve. Thomas Yates, the 12th Earl of Glenbourne in Ireland needs his problem solved and that is if he doesn't marry by his next birthday he will lose his inheritance. Rachel puts her name forward because she can fix his problem and help a friend at the same time. This is a cute romance that took time to develop that was very enjoyable to read.

The second book in the Escape to Ireland series a well written story that held my interest until the end. Rachel Parker is a problem solver for Bixby International so when Thomas Yates, the 12th Earl of Glenbourne, needs a wife in less than a week so she says she will do it on her conditions. I found myself laughing at somethings in the book and at other times going why don't you just talk to each other. I enjoyed reading this story. I wonder if there is going to be more books in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rachel is a problem solver, but this is the first time she was the solution. Thomas has a week to get married or loose it all. He goes to a company that solves problems but is taken aback when the problem solver says she is the best solution. Lots of humor and the personal interaction between the characters is great.

This was my first book from this author. I loved Thomas and Rachels characters. They started out not thinking to much of each other. With their fake marriage, their interactions and bantering with one another they started having feelings. It made for a very fun read, I will definitely be following this author and reading more of her books!

If there are ever 2 people who have a void in their lives to fill and don’t realize it until it is forced on them, this story has them. Although they had a rocky start, Rachel and Thomas make a great couple, and it’s a beautiful read seeing them falling for each other. There are also some laugh out loud moments to bring a little comedy in the mix. This is a very nice clean romance for when you need an uplifting story.
Her Fake, Irish Husband by Michele Brouder is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I can not get enough writen by a brand new author for me to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about contemporary, sweet and Holiday romances in their stories.

This is a fun book with serious sidelines. Thomas, Lord Glenbourne of a 30,000 Irish estate needs a wife in a weeks 'time. Rachel Parker offers to be his fake wife for 90 days so he can get access to the inheritance so he can keep up the estate. He doesn't quite know how to handle his American wife? Michele Brouder definitely has a handle on clashes between how things are done in as home of a 12th generation seldom and a kindhearted American.
I enjoyed this story with it's easy pacing, Sammy moments steal the show, like these great lines from dialogue between Sammy and Thomas
“Did you ever tell her how you felt about her?” Sammy asked once the server had left. “I didn’t have to; she had to know how I felt,” Thomas said. Sammy sat back in his chair, shook his head, and sighed. “What am I going to do with you?”
Loving this series with its loveable characters and relateable scenarios
It was everything I wanted in a good Irish romance
At 1st I thought this book was a little far fetched. The idea of volunteering to be a fake bride for 3 months so an Irishman collect an inheritance. But it is the story the author made the characters change before your eyes. They mesh together really well And they were well suited for each other. It was a quick read I couldn't put it down the minute I started reading it
Enjoyed this clean, entertaining contemporary novel about a professional problem solver who helps an English lord out through a fake marriage so he can inherit the trust to run his estate. Opposite personalities, they must live together for three month. With not a good past in the romance department, Rachel attempts to withhold her growing affections, despite the looming three month final split. A fun novel with a different plot that maintains one's attention from beginning to end.
Modern story of an earl with a marriage of convenience. This marriage to solve the earl’s financial problems takes the sweet, helpful American girl to Ireland, away from home and family to fill the the role of his Countess. She falls in love with him, he falls in love with her, but neither will tell the other. This story was written well and let’s you feel what they are experiencing. Good job by this author. Loved it!
