My story when I was a Navy pilot. Fly with me in the cockpit of a jet fighter, feel the thrill of trying to break the sound barrier in one of the first airplanes the Navy had that could. It was the time of transition for prop fighters into jet fighters. The angle deck carrier had not yet been developed. The training command was trying to adjust to new and different airplanes. It was a very bloody time in Naval Aviation History.
