Everafter Academy #1

Once Upon a Wolf

Rate this book
Once upon a time a wolf took everything away from me.
I'm here to return the favor…

When the Big Bad Wolf and his pack of witch hunters murdered my family, I made a deal with the Devil in exchange for revenge.

Giving him my soul was the easy part.

Surviving Everafter Academy… now that deserves a medal.

I’m not the Red Riding Hood everyone thinks I am. I’m Ravyn, the witch with a deep, dark secret, and I’m only at this school to hunt down my family’s killer. If pretty boys Erik, Christopher, and Gideon think they can make my life hell just because I’m different, they’re in for a surprise.

I’m going to make these Prince Charmings regret the day they ever wronged me.

Everything I do is chaos. Everything I touch turns to darkness. They can call me a monster because that’s exactly what I am.

My heart isn’t meant to be won over or broken. It’s meant to be feared.

With a trio of jealous princesses determined to put a hex on me, a magical school full of ‘good’ fairy tale creatures that despise my kind, secrets galore, and a headmaster whose dark desires rival my own, I’m here to prove that even villains deserve their happily ever after.

Mine just involves bloodshed, blackmail, and sweet sinister revenge.

What can I say? I’m a Dark Witch. It’s in my nature.

Now sit back and let me tell you how fairytales REALLY go. It all starts with an altar...

Everafter Academy is a Dark Reverse Harem Romance. Each fairytale creature has been modernized and thrown into a world of magic, depravity, and allure, and Ravyn will never choose which path—or man—she truly wants. Why choose when she can have them all?

Themes: bully, forbidden romance, student/teacher, D/s relationship
Genres: reverse harem, academy, fantasy, fairytale
Heat Level: Scorching-hot, rough, consensual scenes that are for 18+ only.

The first ever BoTM with the cakeaters @ RHR, our theme was retelling and this red riding hood was a big fat flop...

Its not whats I expected in the least and my expectations were pretty low. Its marketed to the academy fans (ie me) but its just satanism wrapped in an academy blanket. Very little to do with school and lots to do with worshipping the devil. Also very very loosely based on a red riding hood retelling, we had wolves and a girl called "little red" that's about the height of it.

I made it to 22% and went nope this is not for me
The fact that she’s a satanist, a masochist and these words ended it for me
" His cum transforms into pure magical energy and fills me up to the brim."

Even after deciding this is a dnf I skimmed onto to see what happens and it’s just not even entertaining. I wanted to get to the Academy part of the book but by that stage I was checked out. It’s not full the brim with sex scenes but the ones that there are are cringe and not hot in the least. She’s a masochist and even when someone is cutting into her back with a knife it turns her on.

Maybe this kind of thing is your jam...100% go for it. The writing is not terrible its really the themes that aren't for me.
I would never shame someone for liking what they like but they is so far from what I like I will avoid this author from now on and everyone will be happy.

First BotM at RHR and the opinions were mostly negative.
But color me surprised, I actually quite enjoyed the book.

Did I like the masochism part? No.
Did it make me uncomfortable? Not really.
Was it a turn off? Yeah.
Did I end up skipping the sex and punishment scenes? Yup.

Once Upon a Wolf was dark and definitely out of my comfort zone. The writing did its work, I enjoyed Ravyn as a character and all the nuances of Good and Evil that kept blending together.

Unfortunately, the plot did not really make sense. It was confusing, somewhat about revenge and a deal Ravyn made with Lucifer. And quickly, the book mostly revolved around Ravyn's sessions with her different partners. More story, less sex, and I would read the next book.

First BOTM read with the cake eaters of RHR.

Eh I’ve read worse in my fairytale phase. A bit of a mix and not all that smooth in transition. The writing is okay and if you don’t mind hardcore sex and S&M then it’s fine. Standard academy theme, the outcast and the mean girls, Only difference is the Disney princesses got a remake and an attitude change. I preferred sleeping beauty when she was asleep.

Ravyn the little red riding hood of the story was born a dark witch and through her desires screws over her family and faces the consequences. She’s a little twisted, a satanist and a masochist. Didn’t get much from her feeling wise, pretty sure her mind was broken after selling her soul.

The sex is placed throughout the book, I think about five scenes. Some s&m including spanking, knife play and whipping. The strangest scenes are with Lucifer and I’m pretty sure bordering some sort of beastiality.

I did like the multiple POVs. I’m not sure if the guy count will go above three or some of the POVs were just necessary to progress the story. Favourite character was Broin but I’m just gonna ignore the daddy stuff.

I enjoyed the Disney theme and pinpointing who was who. Favourites there were Aladdin and Quasimodo. The little side story snippets were interesting so I’ll read the next one for those as well as the ending.

Okay so I am not a massive fan of BDSM, little spanking and tying up never hurt anyone but this book goes a bit too far for me, with the FMC calling one of her lovers Daddy and when she basically gets shredded during a session but can heal quickly...nah does not work for me!

The FMC was a bit all over the place with her determination and strength fading in and out and she lacked that consistency. Her friendship with the Alice and little mermaid were nice fairytale mentions as were the other referencing to fairytale princes and princesses, this I liked.

The cliffhanger did not hurt as I had kinda guessed it already, I am not sure if I will keep reading the series, perhaps if the level of BDSM reduces I might.

The quotes in the book that kept me reading were ....
“His waist and hips are narrow, giving him that delectable upside-down-triangle look that men’s bodies have”.

“His tone is like caramel and chocolate got together and had a baby”.

So maybe there is potential here for the next books?

Witch a Werewolf and a Mermaid

I honestly wasn't sure when this popped upped as a recommended read
I am now a bit sorry I waited as long as I did
This was fantasy and fairy tales brought together in a whole new way that was entertaining and engaging and a touch shocking.
The world-building 🌎 was fantastic
The cast quite otherworldly (being very generous here)
I enjoyed the change-up between dark and light (please people this is fiction nothing is politically correct here 🙄 ).
There is a whole lot of darkness going on within the pages of this one.
Ravyn doesn't take smack from anyone she stands firm even if she stands alone. After believing, she may be separated from her sister she decides to switch from the dark side to the light side (she's young don't judge) Turns out she didn't read the fine print.
And let the chaos commence.

There is a lot of subtle clues tossed here and there that are easy to miss. They give possibilities as to who is behind the wolves but some clues hint Red might be playing on a much bigger game board. While believing she is the queen in this little hunt it seemed to me she is really just a pawn and a slight masochist.
But po-ta-to ,pah-ta-to (whatever you get the idea)

As this episode came to a close the big bad wolf had just entered the hunt. Watch your back princesses and princes.
Also, I am currently swinging to the dark side. I would rather hang with the dark as the light seems a bit blinded(?) by their self-importance.

This has all kinds of scenes and beliefs that may be triggers for some or just hard limits for others - just know going in the story requires an open mind

2.5 stars.. I rounded up to 3 stars.. This is way more "DARK" than I was expecting.. Story wise its very interesting kind of like a super fetishy adult version of "Ever After High" with like props.. and lots of smut and triggers.... There are quite a few plot holes but I'm wondering if those aren't going to be filled as the story progresses. The writing itself wasn't really bad.. the whole thing was just a little uncomfortable to me.. Not like Anne Rice Sleeping Beauty uncomfortable but like right on the turn of that road..

Little red our FMC is a satan worshiping dark witch like most of her family before her. Only red has a twin sister who worships the storyteller and is a light witch. In an attempt to stay with her twin as they go off to learn magic little red renounces her satan worshiping which leads to dire consequences with the big bad wolf.. Now in a bit of revenge, red has journeyed to the Ever After Academy in an attempt at revenge.. spreading her darkness and finding some unanticipated allies. As well as a headmaster with a little darkness in himself..

Honestly I have no idea where this is headed storyline wise.. I'm not sure if I'm rooting for our FMC to turn good? or not? *shrugs* I don't know, it was something...

Wow, this story takes off running straight out of the gate! Not a minute's downtime from beginning to end, but it wasn't rushed at all. I've read plenty of Academy RH before, but not with a heavy, dark BDSM element, and even though pain/bloodplay does nothing for me, I was thoroughly engrossed in Ravyn's story and all her proclivities. It's well-explained why she enjoys what she does. Ravyn's a strong girl and easy to root for, despite being a "villain" and thinking she's incapable of being good. She was more decent than most of her spoiled fellow classmates, all reimagined fairytale characters. She has a dry wit and snark, and can hold her own against her men, including Lucifer himself >:)

I think the biggest surprise was Lockwood; you think he'll be the most mild when the other two men are the Prince of Darkness and an undead Druid shifter, but he was the most intense! Repression is a helluva drug, eh? Haha. Ravyn allows him to get all his urges out, and I'm always a sucker for an academic authority figure, so despite THAT ENDING (for now), I'm still rooting for him.

I'm glad Ravyn has girl friends; don't enjoy when a girl doesn't have acquaintances outside her harem. And I love Jasper! Can't wait to see how things go with the other academy attendees; it seems like things are coming to a head from a few directions, and it's going to be explosive!

Amazing

Omg this book was a refreshing change the way the characters are brought together like this was brilliant. All the princesses, princes, red riding hood and wolf's etc make a great new series. The twists and turns are wickedly amazing and take you down the rabbit hole. Totally can't wait to read the next book after being left on that ending

3 Conflicted Stars

In this book we have Ravyn, a dark witch who serves Lucifer. Her family, including her twin sister, was murdered by an evil pack of wolves (shifters). Ravyn is furious, so she sells her soul to The Dark Lord in order to get revenge on the people who killed her family. Ravyn pretends to be her light witch twin and heads to the Evermore Academy to get her revenge.

The world building in this story was pretty cool, it’s well thought out and interesting. The characters are pretty fun too, we get to see a bunch of people from classic fairytales (Aladdin, Aurora, Alice, etc etc). Only the FMC is a fully fleshed out character though. Nobody else has any real character development.

So far this series isn’t a reverse harem though. The FMC does have sex with several people, but most of them are just casually fucking. There aren’t any real relationships. It could be said that she has some sort of relationship with her family’s Knight protector, but that was pre established and it felt more like mutual gratification.

Here is my real problem with this book: the FMC is an extreme masochist. I mean, I can read regular books with D/s relationships. I can tolerate some masochism…but this book takes it too far and it makes me feel really sick.

The FMC’s lover takes a knife to her back and cuts DEEP, all the way past muscle and into the areas that would kill a human. Not little cuts. He carves her up. Her other ‘lover’ beats her with a metal whip until she’s a bloody lump (then he cums on her wounds). I understand that the FMC enjoys this, but it’s too grotesque and it goes too far. None of these men care about her well being and most don’t even like her, that just makes it worse.

This is in no way, shape, or form a romance. Maybe it turns into one? I don’t see how though.

- steam: 0/5 stars I don’t call this steamy, this is something different. 3-5 “sex” scenes (more like torture scenes)
- world building 3/5
- Harem: no harem yet
- relationships: 0/5 stars
- No MM/FF
- triggers: ALL THE TRIGGERS!! Death of family, blood, knife play, sex scenes that look like torture…all the triggers
- No OW drama (because there is mo harem or prospective harem)
- Bully? Eh, not really. There are bullies, but there is no harem yet, so it doesn’t really matter. I don’t see any of the people who are bullying her becoming romantically involved, but you never know.

Lucifer is tearing down walls like that??😳

This book at the beginning had the feel of the movie Hereditary. And for some reason when it comes to: ‘Sh*t I know happened in real life somewhere’. Scares the heck out of me. I was disturbed and intrigued all at once. Probably should not have started this at night. Once the scene moved to the academy the satanic worship is toned down just a bit. I was confused by ‘Broin Daddy’. Me thinking what a strange relationship to have with her father... smh. Think more along the lines of role play. A lot of BDSM. More emphasis on the M. I don’t know how the authors plan on making this RH and who exactly is going to be in this harem since Rayvn only has 4 years before she has to pay back a debt to Lucifer. And no noticeable prospects unless she’s adding girls... and if so?? Heeeeeeey!!!🙌🏾 Bad cliffhanger ending in the middle of a scene. Lots of problems and questions. None resolved or answered in book 1.

One day we will be allowed half stars, and then my life would be complete. I would give this 3.5!

Once Upon A Wolf is a fresh twist in the myriad of faerie tale twists that have been flooding Amazon lately. It's dark, and it does not cut corners on digging into s*x, pain, and affection that's shown through mixing the two.

One of the aspects I liked most was that Snow and Clyne are combining a ton of different well-known faerie tales and Disney favorites, so we're not boxed into just one story or character at a time. We get a glimpse into their version of Red and the Wolves, Aladdin, Quasimodo, the classic Disney princesses, and more. It gives us a nice variety, but they've done a good job of giving these characters space. They're all part of this multi-component universe, so I'm sure there are going to be more worlds that we get to learn about as we continue through the next book(s).

Even though Little Red, Rayna, is a follower of Lucifer and practitioner of the Dark Arts, she has qualities that I think will help her be appealing to readers. She's loyal and protective, and even though others see her as just a Dark Blood, she makes friendships that let the better parts of her shine.

One thing I'm unsure about at this point is how many men will be in the harem. There are three that Ravyn is s*xually connected to in book one, but there are also hints about others who are interested in her and might blossom into something more. So, I think this is one where the harem will grow. Out of the existing members, we get some Lucifer love, Headmaster/Student, and then one of Ravyn's closest companions. Like I mentioned earlier, though, make sure the s*x is to your tastes. We've got some BDSM, some masochism, and the fun times tend to skew toward the rougher (but all consensual) in book one. So, if that's not your thing, make sure you keep that in mind!

Overall, the writing was executed well, the s*x has fire to it, and the concept is refreshing. My big wants were some more character building- I feel like we might be speeding into a big conflict with a reveal at the end of book one, but I want to get to know these characters first, and I'm not sure how quickly the development will catch up to the coming conflict.

I'd also like to get the chance to see more about what Ravyn can gain from the school. For now, she's miles ahead of her classmates because I guess the Ever Afters don't really learn any skills until they go to the academy. I'd like to see more use out of the school setting besides the social groupings!

Generally, I do recommend for those who want the faerie tale revamp and like some rough play.

AHHHH-MAZING

I have read a few books by Scarlett and this is by far my favorite!! I absolutely loved the world Tiegan and Scarlett has created. All of the characters at the academy are versions of the most well known princes and princesses in fairy tales most of us have heard growing up. Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame just to name a few. BUT this is NOT one of those sweet fairy tales. It is dark and full of BDSM, Daddy play, masochism, and plenty of punishments for Ravyn. I LOVED IT!!! 😍🤤

The storyline was unique, intriguing, and creative. I couldn’t even tell that this book was written by 2 different people because the story flowed that well. I loved reading from the different POVs of Gideon (not sure what his role will ultimately be in this series), Broin, Lockwood, and Christopher (unsure of his role too). I am curious as to how Ravyn’s revenge scheme will ultimately pan out and what happens at the end of her 4 years of Everafter now that she has made a deal with Lucifer.

This book was HOT! Like I had to quit reading it in public since I was getting squirmy in the waiting room at the car dealership 🤣The scenes were steamy beyond belief and they all had a BDSM element to it. The scenes with Lucifer, Broin, and Lockwood are amazing and I actually went back to read them a second time. And I love the bit of MM that was hinted at...can’t wait to read more of that!!!

A word of warning, this is a dark reverse harem with heavy BDSM elements. And I mean HEAVY! I am not talking about a little spanking here and there. I mean blood is drawn, but that’s okay since the female lead wants that because of who she is in this fantasy world. She’s a masochist and it fits well into the type of witch Ravyn is. It will make sense to you if you take the time to read it. Basically, the type of witch she is requires her to feel pain in order to achieve any kind of pleasure. If you are someone who is just starting to venture into the literary world of BDSM, this may be like jumping into the deep end without learning how to swim.

Fantastic start to a series and I can’t wait to read the next book. Kudos to the authors!! I am crossing my fingers for a LONG series. I need at least 4 books of this hotness.

First and foremost, to any readers that may be dissuaded with some of the low reviews on here, keep in mind: YKINMKATO 💙 (Google it)

I personally loved the series, but I could see where people wouldn't enjoy it. Throughout the books it does have some pretty gratuitous and extreme kink, including very rough anal, knife play, caning, St. Andrew's cross, Daddy Dom play and punishment, andq Femdom, among other things. I'm pretty open-minded so even the stuff that didn't appeal to me I could read through and enjoy the rest.

I feel it's important to note that while the sex scenes are pretty intense they're not the entirety of the book. There's actually a pretty involved plot throughout the series. The wild and painful sex is actually part of the story, too, and explained in the back story.

Nope. I can't. She starts out wanting to renounce her faith in Lucifer to become a follower of the Light. As soon as Lucifer forsakes her, her family is murdered, so she goes back to Lucifer and agrees to be his follower again.

That beginning is SO WEAK, I can't go on.

I decided I try something new this time. I like a good reverse harem, plus this is a fairy tale re-invention. What could go wrong?
Well, this is a typical teenage-drama-book. Or is it? Ravyn has a twin sister, who gets accepted for Everafter. The school for princes, princesses, all the good from those old fairy tales you always hear. While Ravyn has to go to Nevermore where happy endings are not happening, true love is a phrase nobody knows and villains thrive. The only problem with this, Ravyn does not want to get separated from her twin sister, so she does the unimaginable. Switches sides.
Then tragedy strikes immediately, and the aftermath leaves Ravyn angry, grieving and thirsty for revenge. Backed up by her dark lord, will she be able to find the killers especially when so many distractions are present? Evermore is not what you expect. Even princes and princesses have their darkness, nobody and nothing is what it seems.
I liked Red's character, I liked Sirena and Alice, the outcasts and was a little bit pleased to see the stuck-up fairy tale heroes and heroines are also proud, bitchy and mainly not-so-perfect bullies. After the twist at the end of the book I am curious how this one turns out. The characters are good, the world building exceptional and the story is intriguing. A nice, easy dark tale. If you are on the look for something sinisterly fun then search no more.

Meh, I'm not sure what to make of this book. The plot feels haphazard and certain reveals were far too convenient. Our MC, Ravyn, is a full-on moron when it comes to Lucifer and recognizing plots from actual smart people around her, but is annoyingly superior in her classes (though that works, because, you know, villain). However, she completely sucks at the villainous trait of being able to hide one's identity and appear to be someone else, because everyone figures out she's a Darkblood immediately. Also, how is no one else outraged about other supposed Darkbloods at the school? There are more of those kinds of plot inconsistencies in the novel, much like their past story I read, Grim.

Well what a surprise this book was!

Whilst it's about 18 yr olds it's definitely not ya.

It's set amidst fairytales and folklore and has an interesting storyline that kept me held.

It's weird it's like 'descendants' for kinky grownups with bdsm sm and dirty sex.

I read an outraged review that the book is about devil worship! Ffs it's a book! An entertaining one at that about a family of witches, two girls, one a dark witch one a white witch. Because the dark witch doesnt want to be separated from her white witch sister, the dark witch renounced her allegiance to Lucifer. The consequences of which is her beloved sister n grandma are killed by the wolves.

For some reason Lucifer tells the dark witch she has to go to the school where only white witches can go. But all is not so pure in the white school!

Its naughty and sexy and fun

But devil worship in its truest form, as if by reading this book we are committing a sin?

Hell no, fuck no! God save me from puritan sanctimonious idots!!!

It's not my usual genre or age group etc but its hooked me what can I say. I guess I have a little dark in me too!:)

Totally captivating! Bring on book 2!

This was so good and I loved every second of it. The only problem that I really have with this is that it felt like we were just dropped in the middle of the beginning and that we missed some important parts before Ravyn went to the alter. I do like how dark this is and how kinky it is though, this book most defiantly was not afraid to go there and I know the next two will good farther than this one did we only got a little taste of. I also like how we still are a little unsure of who all Ravyn is all going to end up with, I most definitely have ideas but I like that we are being kept in the dark about that aspect. I do like the guys we have met who have harem potential, I really can't wait to watch them squirm when the time comes for them though it'll be so good to see. The ending of this wasn't as shocking as it should have been, probably because it hinted at that person being dark so it wasn't too much of a stretch that that's the kind of person they are. Overall I liked this book a lot and I really can't wait to watch Ravyn get her revenge and put the Princes and princesses of Everafter Academy in their place 😏.

There's only one thing that needs to be said about this books. Your panties may melt off and the correct response is always YES Daddy / YES Sir / or YES Master.
All fun aside your favorite fairy tales are no longer the same. Little red isn't so innocent anymore and she's not the goodie toe shoes we know in love or is she. Alice isn't so sweet and where she comes from is definitely not wonderland. The little mermaid doesn't lose her voice, but she was my looses her cool. Aurora isn't so innocent as you remember her to be either lets say she likes hexes and peoples exes. Rapunzel is not a orphan locked in a tower although she still cries when you ruin her hair. Speaking of her hair think the tangled version not Disney poor girl. The princes aren't all that charming anymore. If you thought that was all that's just the start princes and princesses alike aren't all that happy with their to be lives after the academy as you would think. There's more secretes than meets the eye that's for sure and I can't wait to uncover them all and get more Daddy Broin time.
