Tucker by Emily March is a 2020 St. Martin’s Press publication.
Absolutely Charming!
Gillian Thacker runs a Bridal Shop in Redemption, Texas. Her own wedding plans, though, aren’t going so well. After a big blow-up with her fiancé- Tucker McBride comes to her rescue. An immediate spark ignites, but Gillian is engaged, and Tucker is trying to find his way since his days in the Army have come to an end.
Yet, he and Gillian keep bumping into each other as both her wedding and business dreams come tumbling down around her. Tucker, who never really considered the prospect of falling in love, much less marriage, is suddenly finding the notion of great interest. Can he convince Gillian to take another chance on love?
For me, this arc in the Eternity Springs series got off to a bumpy start. For that reason, I put a little space between it and this second installment.
But, this book made up for that, and then some!! The book starts off with some great humor and snappy dialogue and the momentum builds, with strong character growth and the perfect blend of emotion and warmth.
I enjoyed this one from start to finish! The characters have fabulous chemistry, the landscape is vivid, the tone is light, and often funny, but there is enough depth to keep me emotionally invested and entertained at the same time!
Overall, this one of the best contemporary romance novels I have read so far this year!!

Tucker by Emily March was a sweet romance based in Ms. March's The McBrides of Texas series. I haven't read the previous books in the series but this one does stand alone without any problems.
Tucker McBride was absolutely one of the best male leads that I've read in a long time. He was patient, kind, loving, honest and strong in his beliefs about himself and life. Gillian was a mess from the beginning. I confess that she got on my nerves several times throughout the story. With a strong plot that includes family, learning to trust yourself again, friendships and love it was an engaging read.

Having read the previous book, Jackson, and loved it, I was so excited when I received a copy of Tucker. Emily March did not disappoint in her latest installment of The McBrides Of Texas. Tucker is newly discharged and rambling the Texas back roads on his motorcycle when he meets Gillian. She is a damsel in distress, and she ends up on the back of the motorcycle. As it turns out, they are both headed to Redemption. Gillian is engaged, but it's not solid. Tucker is finding his way after military life. Both are a bit lost, and they felt the spark when they met. Gillian really has a hard time of it, but she perseveres, carrying on despite the heartbreak. Tucker begins to truly understand what he wants his life to be going forward, and he takes steps to make things happen. I love these characters and admire their fighting spirit. I was rooting for them from the beginning. Redemption is the kind of place that can mysteriously show you the way, as it does for Tucker and Gillian. This story was a delightful read full of romance, warmth, laughter and charm. I highly recommend for romance readers!

I enjoy reading books authored by Emily March, so jumped at the chance to read TUCKER. Although TUCKER is the second book in the Eternity Springs:The McBrides of Texas trilogy, it is the only one in the series that I have read. TUCKER can easily be read as a standalone.
Tucker McBride has finished his time as a U.S. Army Ranger and is on his motorcycle heading for Redemption, Texas, when he passes a damsel in distress.
Gillian Thacker, a bridal salon owner, had a spat with her fiancé and in her hasty retreat, while trying to avoid hitting a wild boar, accidentally drove her car into a tree. Being a gentleman, Tucker turns his bike around, rescues Gillian, the damsel in distress, by taking her on his motorbike.
Sparks fly, but Gillian tells Tucker that she has a fiancé and will soon be wedded. Tucker has never had a serious girlfriend because of his army lifestyle, and keeps busy with setting up his wilderness skills training school.
Gillian's Bliss Bridal Salon is across the street from Tucker's new business, making it difficult for him to forget about her.
Will Gillian marry Jeremy? Or will the tall, ruggedly handsome, outdoorsy Tucker win her heart?
Humour and surprises tucked in here and there added to my pleasure and delight in reading this novel. I would like to read the other two books in the trilogy.

This is the second book in The McBrides of Texas series but can be read as a stand alone. I haven't read book one. Gillian Thacker runs a bridal shop in Redemption Texas, a charming little town. Tucker McBride is a U.S. Army Ranger looking to start phase two of his life after the Army. When Tucker opens a wilderness skills training school right next to Gillian's bridal shop, they can't stop the chemistry between them. A heart felt romance. I'm looking forward to more in this series. Seriously crushing on Tucker who stole my heart.

Book boyfriend alert!
Tucker was amazing as the lead in this sweet, gentle romance. This author writes worlds that are so inviting with characters you can’t help but want to know… Tucker? Yeah, he’s at the top of that list.
Rescuing the damsel in distress was just one of the reasons Tucker flew to book boyfriend status. He was patient, loving and all the things Gillian needed. They met during a bump in her current relationship so when she was free months later Tucker was happy to help her once again. She resisted, how I am really not knowing, but through persistence and a whole lot of loving charm, Tucker was just there. Being all kinds of wonderful…
This was sweet with the only harshness coming from me when I wanted to shake Gillian on more than one occasion. I’m not dissing her, her feelings are her own, but being able to see Tucker’s point of view meant I knew just what she was missing… ~Diane, 4 stars

Oh my. I have been a fan of the worlds created by Emily March since her first book. Tucker may be one of my all-time favorites. This is a romance about people who are real a d completely believable. Tucker and Gillian are adults who figure out a way to chart their course as best they can. As always, the supporting cast of characters is terrific.
I was lucky enough to receive an advance reader copy of this book. Happily, that had no impact on how I feel about the book.

Fantastic Read! Emily got her groove going with this gem, I absolutely loved Tucker and Gillian and their story. Great to revisit the town of Redemption and its cast of characters, which are a story unto themselves.
Tucker is a recently discharged Vet who is trying to make his way and figure out what he's doing and where he's going. Which is how he ends up in Redemption stopping to visit his cousin Jackson. He decides to stay a while. Gillian owns the Bridal shop in town with her mother. She's engaged and has doubts (to say the least) about the relationship and Tucker and Gillian meet in a most unusual way.
I've got to hand it to Gillian walking on a deserted road in high heels, then getting on the back of Tucker's motorcycle.... yep. It was delicious.
There's a lot of character development and depth to this book. The plot could not have been better, the side characters are written so well and will give you a good chuckle and even Jackson seems to have settled down from book one. It's a great story that hooked me from the first page and kept me flipping the pages to the very end. Tucker was amazing, I was totally enamored with that man.
Well done Emily! Can't wait for the next book in this series! A total 5 star read for me.

3.5 Best Laid Plans, Whoops! Stars
There is something delicious about a story that has a Cowboy, a woman who discovers there is more than her plans, and a sweet romance.
These two meet due to a boar, a tree getting in the way of Gillian's car, and a ride on the back of Tucker's bike saving her. Nevermind the fight she had with her fiance', Gillian is just trying to make her bridal shop work and not notice how this man struck more of a chord with her then said fiance'.
Tucker is back to civilian life after being a U.S. Army Ranger. He is looking to start anew and has landed in Redemption with the idea of setting up an adventure /training/wilderness skills shop. He found he liked the vibe and his shop turns out to be across the street from the sweet woman he gave a ride to...the one who is off-limits and can't get out of his mind.
Does nearness make the heart grow fonder or will these feelings between these two blow up in their faces.
This had everything a reader would want and it worked on a lot of levels.

Eternity Springs: McBrides of Texas: Tucker by Emily March has Tucker McBride leaving the army. He is heading to Redemption, Texas for a time of healing and decide what he wants to do with his future. Along the way, he encounters Gillian Thacker walking along a back road. Gillian had a fight with her fiancé, Jeremy and took off without thinking. The pair share an intense moment before Gillian returns to Jeremy. Three months later, Tucker is opening wilderness skills training school in the building next to Bliss Bridal owned by Gillian and her mother, Barbara. It turns out it was the building Gillian intended to buy for her new venture, Bliss Events. Sparks fly between the pair much to Tucker’s delight. He has his sights set on Gillian, now he just needs to convince her. Tucker is a cute story. I liked the characters (well, most of them—Jeremy and an old frenemy of Gillian’s leave a lot to be desired) and the lovely setting of Redemption, Texas. Tucker McBride is handsome, kind, good hearted man who is a keeper. I like how he helps his niece, Haley who is going through a tough time. Gillian did get on my nerves a few times, but that made her real. I enjoyed the beautiful descriptions of Enchanted Canyon. I can understand why it is a place to unwind, get peace and heal. There were definite sparks between Gillian and Tucker (it is a wonder they did not set paper on fire). I like the survival skills fit into the story as well as the color red. I do want to let readers know that there is foul language in the story along with intimate situations (and thoughts). Those who read Jackson’s tale will be happy to know that him and his fiancé, Caroline are in the book. Gillian is one of Caroline’s bridesmaids. I enjoyed the humor in the story, and I had to laugh at the dress Tucker had Barbara create for the display window. Tucker can be on as a standalone. I had no trouble following the story. Tucker is a relaxing story to read and it will delight those who love romance tales.

Tucker is the second book in the Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas series and it can be read as a standalone but I will be going back and reading, Jackson, the first book in this series. There are also characters from the Eternity Springs series, but again, you don't need to read that series to enjoy this book. I fell in love with Tucker. He has had quite the life. The McBride's are quite wealthy, but he chose to join the army and one time was going to make that a career, but plans change. He has come home to Texas is planning to heal in Enchanted Canyon. What he does not plan on is his meeting with gorgeous Gillian Thacker. She is dealing with a lot of changes in her life, not pleasant ones, and is not ready for a new relationship. Love, has a mind of its own.
Gillian and Tucker are a dynamic duo. They are both smart, loving, caring. loyal, beautiful, talented and so on. Unfortunately, Gillian is having issues trusting her own decisions and that includes her attraction to Tucker. Luckily for Gillian she had wonderful friends and family who supported her, at times coddled her but also gave her a kick in the butt when she needed it. There was a lot of emotion in the story (most from Gillian) and the romance was fun and swoon worthy. This was a story about making mistakes, recognizing them and moving on. There is trust, love, some angst and a wonderful story to entertain readers. Emily March wrote some great, witty dialogue. I absolutely loved the setting, the characters and the dogs, who play a part in the story. I will definitely be reading more of the McBride stories. I liked both characters and watching Tucker gradually adapting to his new life in Redemption, Texas, building his business and wooing Gillian. Her doubts and musings were less interesting to watch and the talking by family and friends didn’t really grab my interest, as well as other formal aspects of the romantic couple relationship.
It was interesting that the instant attraction and sexual awareness between Tucker and Gillian take a step back when reality imposes.
I found the storyline a bit drawn out and had a bit of trouble keeping up with all the characters.

This was another new author for me, and the book was easy nothing ground breaking. We meet ex Army Ranger Tucker McBride, now ladies I would grab him. So he is trying to get his feet wet back into society, and is in an unfulfilling desk job. We also meet Gillian who owns a bridal salon with her mom and she is going to be a bride, but her fiance is undeserving of her Jeremy, Tucker knows this but he will not do anything while she is engaged to another man regardless if she not happy. However, when things change, all bets are off and they get to start acting on there chemistry. I liked Tucker, Gillian not so much, I felt Tucker was too good for her, however I didn't write , so it is what it is.

I struggled connecting with the main heroine, Gillian; however, I did like Tucker’s character. What drew me to the book was Tucker’s military service (I’m all about the military romances).

Throw in some wonderful friendships, a few laughs, and some misunderstandings along the way, and this romance has simply got it all. The characters are so loveable, except the ones that obviously aren't, and the setting is as beautiful as it always is in Emily March's stories. I smiled, I blushed, I swooned, and I got mad alongside Gillian and I desperately wanted her to remember who she really is underneath all of her hurt and to go after what she wants in her heart. Tucker is a wonderful main character - strong and upfront but with a gentler side that makes your heart flip - and I would definitely sign up to a wilderness class with someone like him as a teacher!

One of the things that I like about Ms. March's romances is that unlike most contemporary romances that seem to happen in warp speed, these are more realistic, allowing time for the couple to slowly meet and get to know each other before they realize that they are meant to be.
This is the second book in the Enchanted Canyon series, a spin off (or southern branch) of Eternity Springs. Tucker McBride, one of the three cousins who inherited Enchanted Canyon, has left the military. From when he was a little boy, he had wanted to be a soldier, and had been a Ranger for the last 10 years. But when he was promoted to a desk job in DC, he could not tolerate the Swamp and quit. Now he was spiritually lost and slowly was making his way to Redemption Texas when he comes across a damsel in distress. Gillian Thacker, usually the most prepared person, had a fight with her fiancee and found herself stranded on a little used road, when Tucker comes along on his motorcycle. She lives in Redemption and knows Jackson, Tucker's cousin. And while Tucker is immediately attracted to Gillian, he has mending to do in the Canyon. A few months pass, Tucker is ready to rejoin the world and has decided, with the help of his cousins to start the Enchanted Canyon Wilderness School, and finding that all is not paradise in Gillian's relationship with her fiancee, starts having thoughts about a possible future with a family of his own.
Along with the wonderful characters and engaging plot, the author includes wonderfully detailed descriptions of the scenery in Enchant Canyon and what goes on in the wedding dress business. Also a wonderful lesson on survival skills in the wilderness.

Tucker McBride rescues a beautiful damsel in distress. After all he's a good guy. He finds it hard to forget Gillian Thacker. She knows his cousins and owns Bliss Bridal Salon in Redemption Texas. Unfortunately she's engaged to be married. Tucker decides to stay in Redemption and start a survival school. By coincidence it's next door to Gillian's business. When her wedding is canceled, Tucker decides to mount his campaign to win Gillian's love. It's a wild ride. Tucker is ex-military and comfortable in the wild. I like that he's honorable and patient. He won't pressure Gillian. I know that she's hurting after her ex-fiancée cheats on her. With her confidence in her judgement shattered I understood her reluctance to jump into another relationship, but seeing these two together I knew that they were destined for a future. I laughed at her outdoor experiences. Their romance was a wild, wonderful ride. I couldn't put this book down. Emily March wrote a great story. The characters are interesting with their passion and snarky dialogue. I can't wait for more stories about this extended family.

This is #2 in a trilogy and extension to The Eternity Springs series. This is Tucker’s story and yes I was excited to get his story because he was so intriguing. In comes Gillian. She started out a strong woman in a frustrating situation. We’ve all gone off the bend and gotten crazy but it passes, done, over with. But throughout this book she continually became nutty, shrill, and irritating, I just did not like her. Good greif this woman was irritating. How can anyone find her attactive. Tucker became a secondary character to this loony woman in his story. Her mom was cool and so were all the lady friends. Her ex didn’t completely like her enough to want to marry her. Twice I almost stopped reading this one.

Terrific book. This is the story of the second McBride cousin, Tucker. Though he originally planned to make the military his career, his most recent posting convinced him otherwise. Pushing papers was a pain, but what got to him most was the backstabbing, political vipers he had to deal with. So he pulled the plug but is now feeling a bit lost and unsure of what comes next. So he heads for Redemption and the land that he and his cousins own, looking for peace and inspiration. He did not expect to come across a damsel in distress along the way.
Gillian is having a bad day. After an argument with her fiancé over wedding plans, she compounds her problems by wrecking her car in the middle of nowhere. Undeterred, she hikes off in the direction of town, high heels and all. She doesn't expect a knight on his trusty steed to come to her rescue.
I loved the first meeting between Gillian and Tucker. There are sparks, but Tucker doesn't act on them because he's an honorable guy, and she's engaged. However, there is plenty of banter between them, and he pours on the flirty charm. Several months pass with Gillian and Tucker seeing each other occasionally, including on New Year's Eve. The cracks in her relationship with Jeremy become more pronounced. The final betrayal comes when Jeremy, as the bank representative, sells a property that Gillian had plans for without telling her. I ached for Gillian but was happy that she finally saw Jeremy for the snake he was. What was most eye-opening for Gillian was the realization that she was less upset over the loss of Jeremy than she was the loss of the property and her dreams for it. To find out that it was Tucker who bought the property was an additional blow. I liked her face-off with him. Her enthusiasm for her plans made Tucker want her all the more. Now that she is no longer engaged, he is ready to go into pursuit mode.
I loved the development of the relationship between Tucker and Gillian. It was smooth, and it wasn't easy, but it was beautiful. Tucker has a good understanding of Gillian from the beginning. When Gillian went into a deep funk over the end of her dreams, Tucker conspired with her mother to pull her out of it. I loved what they came up with, and it certainly did the trick. Gillian regained a bit of her spark, and Tucker makes sure she knows of his interest. But Gillian's confidence in herself and her judgment is shot, and she is afraid to jump into a new relationship. I loved Tucker's patience as he agrees to be friends while she works through it. They spend some time together over the next few weeks, growing closer, but with Gillian always keeping that bit of distance between them. I thoroughly enjoyed it when Tucker introduced Gillian to the joys of hiking. Her resistance was funny, and his cajoling was sweet. It's so apparent that Tucker is head over heels for her, but Gillian can't let go of her fears.
Things take a turn when the proof of Jeremy's betrayal blindsides Gillian. I loved that she ran to Tucker, knowing in her heart that she could trust him. I loved how he took control of everything and gave Gillian the perfect escape experience. There ended up being more to the trip than planned, and though she was all-in at first, she freaked out the next day. I ached for Tucker, who thought that he had finally won his fair lady. His patience was incredible as he gave Gillian the time she wanted. I was frustrated with Gillian because she coasted along, not really giving the issue the time it deserved. I loved what finally opened her eyes and gave Gillian her confidence back. There were still some things to work out between them, but they talked them out with the result of coming out stronger on the other side. I loved that discussion and how it showed the changes they both experienced.
There was also a lead-in to the next book with Boone. I can't wait to read it and see how he handles that unexpected complication to his life.

This book started off so promising.!! This is the second installment of "The Mcbrides of Texas" series and I really loved the first so I figured I would give this a go. Though the first book is about Jackson finding love again, this story is about his cousin, Tucker, and how he found love. Tucker is a military veteran and is looking for a place to set down some roots. If you have not read the first book, Tucker along with his two other cousins, Jackson and Boone, have inherited a nice piece of land that includes a beautiful canyon from a distant relative. Tucker and Gillian cross paths by chance, but will their have a chance?
When we first meet Gillian and Tucker, Tucker is on his motorcycle and Gillian is stranded on the side of the road after crashing her rental car. Unwilling to leave a damsel in distress, Tucker puts on his Superman cape and offers to help Gillian and gives her a ride to a local gas station to be picked up by her fiancée. The chemistry between the two are electric and the share a kiss that neither of will ever forget. Fast forward 3 months and they find themselves in the same small town named Redemption and the heat and electricity is still ever present, but there is one big problem…Gillian is about to get married. Tucker knows that Gillian is the woman for him, but she is already takes. Will Tucker learn to love and get the woman of his dreams? I am sure that you know already, but the journey is the most important thing, is it?
Now I really wanted to get into this review by stating the this story started off strong and I really liked the characters. I also enjoyed seeing the other characters from the first book make an appearance. Gillian, along with her mother, owns a bridal dress shop and Tucker is a military veteran with a specialty in survival skills. They come from two different backgrounds, but they seem to mesh well together. I was really looking for Tucker to have a better character development because he was a veteran and I am always intrigued with a veteran hero. His military background was only mentioned in passing and the author did not use to her advantage to carry this story or to make his character have a little grit or contrast. Tucker was so love sick with Gillian and it came off kind of creepy. A military character can be written in so many ways, but his military experience did not seem to affect him in any way. Gilian was such a dingy, goof of a female character. She made some of the stupidest decision that I have ever seen. This woman is in her 30s, but she acts like a 20 year old. The story was going strong until they got to Vegas and it did a complete 360 for me in the wrong direction. This book has two different type of stories and it lost me. Also, the other always opted to tell me what happened instead of show me. For example, when Tucker and Gillian first meet up after their initial meeting, the author does not show me that meeting!!! I would have love to see that or been a fly on the wall. I had to fight in order to finish it, which is never a good thing.
All in all, the story was okay and nothing stood out for me. The characters were weak, the pacing was slow, and the plot was all over the place. I am so disappointed because I loved the first installment. I just wanted to mention again that the author dropped the ball on this military character, which are one of my favorites besides cowboys. This book takes place in a small and I did not get that small town feeling at all. I would have to rate this story as a 3 Star. Just grab your book and read. No blanket or tea needed because you might end up snoozing off. ***sigh***

This is the second book in the McBrides of Texas series and while you may recognize some characters from the Eternity Springs series it actually not set in Eternity Springs. It can be read as a stand alone novel, however, I recommend reading the Eternity Springs novels just because they are very enjoyable. Tucker McBride has left the military and he is at a loss as to what to do next with his life. While he was in the military he never considered having a family. But now that he has spent time with his cousin's daughter, Tucker wants a family. Too bad the woman that sparks his interest is already engaged to someone else. Gillian, unlike Tucker, knows exactly what she wants to do in life. She has everything planned out, right up until her fiancé changes the plan in a big way!
This was another great read from Emily March that features not only an fun and engaging plot but also very likeable and entertaining secondary characters.

I fell in love with Tucker McBride on page one, and he didn’t disappoint!
Gillian Thacker is all about being a bride , even if it’s to the wrong Groom. She even runs a highly successful Bridal salon along with her mom and has plans to make a wedding mall.

Before I started this book, I had to read Jackson's story. I wanted the background before I met Tucker. Tucker and Gillian's story is cute but it feels rushed to me. I did not like Gillian too much, at times I felt she just was self involved, wanting to string this guy along while she could not make up her mind. Tucker's feelings went from 0 to 100 in a blink of an eye. The story moves through months of time but it doesn't relay the progression of the emotions adequately. I could not find sympathy for Gillian in this book.

Walking down the road in red with sky-high-high-heels without a clue to location or how to get home, Gillian Thacker keeps moving forward. Tucker McBride, recently free from military commitment is on that road, sees the woman in red, realizes she needs help and stops to...help.
And thinking that was the hook, and it was, I had to WAIT because the two were not destined to move on from rescued maiden to happily ever after immediately. Nope, they had to deal with a pesky fiance that was a no good low down rather useless waste of space guy that should have been dropped by Gillian MUCH earlier. Again...Nope...I had to wait. I think Tucker knew he was attracted but he was still dealing with a bit of detritus from his past and being a good guy that did not poach, well, the moving on together thing had to wait.
What I liked:
* Tucker: what a wonderful man this one was! Smart, rugged, focused, ready to settle down, opening up a new business, a great friend, wonderful with family, all that a woman could ask for...and so much more
* Gillian: a bit of an emotional mess but working to improve. Her sense of trust (of self and others) shaken and unwilling to believe in herself. I liked her but at times wanted to shake her and say...”wake up”...glad she did...eventually.
* Hints of previous characters in book in this and related series. Made me want to find those books and reread them again
* The S.U.R.V.I.V.A.L. and L.I.V.I.N.G. acronym portions and how they helped Gillian cope and grow
* Haley’s porti.on with Tucker
* The cave...what fun and what an impact it made on the story...along with the whole survival thing
* Boone’s situation – kind of curious how that will work out for him as he deals with whether or not to be the guardian of a child and how that will impact his life and how he will find hit partner.

* Jeremy: bottom feeder, user, cheater, etc – not worthy of licking Gillian’s boots

* Jeremy: bottom feeder, user, cheater, etc – not worthy of licking Gillian’s boots
* Gillian’s dithering, insecurity and inability to trust her ability to truly know her feelings
* The bridezillas

Intending to be a career army man, Tucker discovered that life as a paper-manager, while allowing him the opportunity to save lives and make some necessary changes, was too filled with politics, vipers and backstabbing for his soul, and he left. Without a plan. Feeling like he failed. Heading back for some outdoor centering and a visit with his McBride cousins in the little town called Redemption, he’s totally unprepared for someone like Gillian. Walking down a deserted road. In a dress and heels. Miles from anywhere.
An argument with her fiancé over their upcoming wedding had Gillian leaving in a snit – and anger had her lost, aided by an old Pecan tree, a feral hog and a car now unable to drive. Walking seemed to be the most logical option. But she saw no one until Tucker. On his Harley. White Knight to the rescue, he shares his phone for her to call her fiancé off the golf course, arranging to pick her up at a local convenience store not 10 miles away.
And then it’s on. Tucker trying to forget the beauty and charm that was Gillian, her trying to ignore the flutters. With a recalcitrant (at best) or argumentative withdrawn fiancé, she’s just holding everything together, planning her wedding and making plans for the events planning business she and the fiancé are to open. But Tucker has his own issues – most of all feeling like he failed at his longed for career – while still being there for family, while not quire being able to forget Gillian and his desire for her. But when things start to fall apart for Gillian, she runs to Tucker for help and the confidence that he so quietly gives her. With family, friends and plenty of chemistry and back and forth between these two, plenty of drama from bridezillas and a college nemesis, a few rather ‘offbeat’ references and advice from others in the family and finally the realization that being with someone who builds your confidence and sees you as amazing, even in your childish moments is all that matters.

"Tucker"--Book 2 in author Emily March's "The McBrides of Texas Series"--returns readers to the quaint little town of Redemption, Texas.Tucker McBride and Gillian Thacker first meet when he offers her assistance as she straggles along a road after a car accident preceded by a big fight with her fiance, Jeremy. It turns out that they have mutual acquaintances, are basically headed in the same direction, and have an immediate awareness-attraction between them. Tucker helps here to get to where her fiance is waiting to pick her up, and then heads to Enchanted Canyon, a property he inherited along with his cousins, Boone and Jackson. A former Army Ranger who has left his military career behind, Tucker greatly enjoys the outdoor life. Gillian and her mother own a successful bridal shop in Redemption, and Gillian also plans to open an event planning business with Jeremy. Imagine her surprise a few months after her roadside rescue by her motorcycle-riding knight, Tucker, when he opens up a survival school in the very building she planned to buy for her second business. Neither Gillian or Tucker have forgotten that sparky feeling between at their first meeting, and with her niggling doubts about Jeremy, it's definitely not a good idea for Tucker to be so close on a daily basis. When Gillian's relationship with Jeremy ends for good, things really start to sizzle in her growing connection to Tucker. Now that he is free to fully pursue Gillian, Tucker is prepared to pull out all the stops to show her that she is the woman he wants in his life--can he convince her that he is the real man of her dreams?
