Every night Prism Lamarche wakes from a reoccurring nightmare of being trapped and burned alive, at the last minute saved by a dark, attractive man she dubs her imaginary guardian angel. Then during her engagement party, he miraculously shows up in all his seductive flesh, and Damien Vincente now challenges her to remember him and the love they once shared.
But Prism questions that if she was repressing any such memory, was there good reason? More importantly, does she dare allow Damien to help her uncover the truth about her night terrors that may reveal a much darker secret kept from her all these years?
ADDISON CARMICHAEL is a Paranormal Romance junkie. Love is a mystical, magical thing to her, and she loves writing and living vicariously through her endless PNR stories. Whether it be alpha male werewolves, fierce dragons, sexy panthers and other shifters, sizzling hot vampires, or illusive sorcerers who will magically make your dreams come true, her imagination is bubbling up several stories after another.
As a literature major, Addison also enjoys weaving classic themes into her books, yet keeping the fun and folklore true to each story and character. While paying strict attention to the tropes of each myth, she also finds unique ways to create new ones in order to make each story as fresh, realistic and plausible as possible.
Addison was born and raised in Southern California and has lived and traveled all over the west coast (and the world). She married the man of her dreams and has two awesome sons, two daughters-of-her-heart, and three grandchildren who are the jewels in her personal crown.
She now lives happily-ever-after with her family (which includes Mollie, her black lab-border collie) in Snohomish, Washington of the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
This story starts off with a bang, and keeps moving at a page-turning pace. The author does not let up until the end of the novella with non-stop action, questions, and a great mystery. She’s great at keeping a reader in suspense, ending each chapter with a cliff-hanger that compels a reader to keep going.
Ms. Carmichael also creates sympathetic characters in Prism, the heroine, and her younger sister Jade. As for Damien, he is everything a reader wants in a hero. He’s caring, seductive, and willing to sacrifice all to help another.
This is a great prequel to Rebel, book three in the Sons of the Alpha series. Be sure to read Claimed first. It’s a wonderful read that can be polished off in a night or two.
A well written , easy to read. Wonderful and very energetic and interesting characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and looking forward to reading your next book.
Enjoyed this novella that gives info and back story on Damien and Prism. I read in one sitting and found it to be easy to follow and well written. Look in forward to reading Rebel . I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Another absolutely GREAT prequel!!! Addison continues with the species that she's weaved into the story in previous books! It's delicious to read because the characters are so alive and the events are taking you in so fast. LOVED the prequel and just started on the Rebel right after!
This is by far my favorite of the prequels in this series so far! And it actually makes me want to go back and re-read all the other books and prequels to see if there's more mentions of the were-cougars in there. Carmichael strikes again with a steamy were-kind set up for her Sons of the Alpha world and series!
I received a review copy of this book and I am volunteering to do an honest review. This book keep me reading until I was at the last page. I could not put it down. Prism was having dreams about being in a fire and being saved by a tall teenage boy. I will be buying more from this author. Thank you for writing the books.
