Nova Dancer

Rate this book
In a universe so far in the future that Earth is considered a myth, Captain Rann Starr and his small crew fly through the galaxy in their starship Nova Dancer, negotiating primitive settlements and vast space stations alike, carrying freight, as well as the occasional passenger who might belong to one of a thousand alien species. Dealing with soldiers and gun-runners might be everyday business for Starr, but the breakup of his little ad-hoc family is something he won't stand for.

Nice start to perhaps a new series. As a stand alone it isn't strong, therefore I assume a series. As per usual, Wesley incorporates the completely unnecessary usage of menu's and food to help fill the pages, however I must give some credit, he kept that to a minimum this time. I was a little surprised how he spent quite a bit of time developing several main characters only to dismiss them near the end and bring on new one characters to fill their shoes with minimal development. I enjoyed it enough to continue with it if it continues.

Not one of his best works

I normally find his works to be an great “read.” Especially his robot series. This book was not one of his better ones. I will leave it at that and just say his game was off.
