picture this: i'm wandering around my public library when my eyes stumble upon the nonfiction section. i've always thought there was nothing in that section but autobiographies from former presidents so i've never paid much attention, but imagine my surprise when i see this giant, pink brick standing on the shelf. i was instantly drawn to it. did everyone just know that libraries have giant bright pink photo galleries of all the runway shows famous designers have done? if so, who was gonna tell me because i am obsessed. these looks were incredible, and i LOVED getting to see the evolution of the brand's style over the time. my favorite looks in chronological order were:
- orange dress on page 78
- white ruffled dress on page 122
- fur coat on page 162
- polka dot dress on page 173
- black stripe jumpsuit on page 183
- printed gown on page 185
- utility suit & head wrap on page 204
- all the looks on page 232-233
- exposed bodice dress on page 238
- wedding (?) outfits on page 239
- yellow dress on page 271

Don’t read this expecting to see any tom ford era rtw, tribute sandals or monogram bags. This big gorgeously pink book is all about mr yves saint laurent’s haute couture collections from 1962-2002. Informative, narrative, chronicling ysl’s genius over the decades emphasizing the fab glamour of women w clean lines, pussy bows, intl flair.

Un très bon livre sur les collections Yves Saint Laurent haute Couture.
J'ai été agréablement surprise sur la diversité ethnique des mannequins, bravo.
De plus, la matière des tissus respirée une noblesse particulière.
Le seul point négatif était la qualité de certaines photographies qui laissent à désirer ce qui n'est pas acceptable pour un livre de ce genre.
