"I could feel her heart beat even though we were miles away"
Rescued from the only life she had ever known, Alannah Jackson learns what it means to be loved and not controlled. Finally able to let go of her past she begins a new life with the man who has shown her what love is. Faced with the truth, Alannah finds she can never escape her past or who she is. She will never love, only serve.
Roman’s love for Alannah is tested when he finds that she has been slaved by a man just as ruthless as Winston Nelson. Against his better judgement, he accepts Martin Holland’s offer to help retrain Alannah and he begins to question the love they shared. After Martin Holland makes it clear of his intentions, Roman stops at nothing to get her back. There is no room for another man in her life.

My love for writing began several years ago after an early retirement from a demanding job that I loved and hated because it consumed so much of my time. Now, I can focus my time on what I love. Writing romance has been a lifelong dream and to actually say that I am a published author is beyond what I would have ever expected.
Even though some may say I have a little naughtiness in my books, I look at it as an added bonus for my readers. After all, what is a romance book without a little spice?
When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with friends either at home or out on the town. Mostly, I enjoy a relaxing night at home where I can enjoy a glass of wine in the company of a good book.
Out of everything, she enjoys driving in her little convertible with the top down.
I enjoyed getting a to know the characters a bit more in this book, the chemistry between the characters Is great and the intimate scenes well written, it did hold my attention for the quick read that it was. But I feel I'm starting to lose interest a little.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Wildly imaginative! Wonderful characters. Interesting plot. Vivid descriptions. Just enough sexy! Kept me intrigued from the first page to the last. Simply a GREAT read!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
Slaved is the sequel to Bought, and if you're going to read I definitely suggest you start on the first book or you'll be lost on what little plot there is. Alannah is again in danger, because when has she not been? Honestly, how would some of this stuff happen? This is straight up human trafficking/slavery. I feel like what enjoyment you could get out of this is lost if you can't get past the fact that Alannah doesn't know how to think/do anything for herself. She's still human, but the author pretty much makes her an un-thinking object.
Don't get me wrong, smutty fiction is smutty fiction. But I like to have a little bit of respect for all parties involved...

Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!
A new Master, retraining and a proposal...............is Roman still Alannah's "white knight"?
Slaved is the second book in the Last Chance series by A.L, Long. This story picks up where the Bought left off for Alannah and Roman. She has been retrieved by Master Winston and is sold to a new owner, Martin Holland. Alannah misses her love Roman but she is resolved that she will never see him again and as such she must obey her new Master. Martin is in the process of retraining Alannah in the ways that will please him. As such he does continue to show her that there can be pleasure while there is pain and builds a bond between them. She trusts him fully in that he will not harm her but Martin still has a darkness surrounding him.
In the meantime Roman does not stop looking for Alannah. He is determined to bring her back home to his penthouse so that they can make a life together, as partners and as D/s. After attacking Master Winston he is told that Alannah was resold to Martin Holland but no information on where she is located. After several weeks he finally finds her but she has been collared by Martin. As such she is now owned by Martin and he has bonded her to him through his retraining. But Alannah still have feelings for Roman and he will not let her go. Martin proposes a deal with Roman where they will both retrain her, Roman would have her 4 days a week and Martin would have her the other 3 days. They would then retrain Alannah to what pleases them both and she would then be shared by them. Roman agrees to this proposal but at the same time he realizes that Alannah belongs only to him and he has to find a way to break her bonding with Martin and take her away from him, while at the same time keeping her away from Master Winston.
This continuation of Alannah's story is filled with a number of twists that keep the story interesting and engaging. Even though Alannah trusts both Martin and Roman the two men do not trust each other. This causes issues immediately in their agreement that have further reaching consequences that cause harm to Alannah. Can Roman still be Alannah's "white knight" and save her even if she does not think she needs to be saved? What is the darkness that surrounds Martin and his strong attachment to Alannah? Slaved ends at a place where you know the next book in this series will take the story in another interesting direction in the journey of Alannah and Roman.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Our hero is suspected of murder and our heroine is with another man, but can't forget our hero. Can this situation be fixed and our lovers reunited?
Not really in this book. This is book two in a three book series. I have not read the first, so I it took me a little while to understand the relationships between the characters, but the situation itself became clear in short order. I would recommend reading them in order as that will make things easier from the start.
The story itself is well written with an interesting plot that has several twists and turns. The characters came off as somewhat shallow to me, needing a bit more depth to make them come alive. Perhaps that detail was provided in the first book. There are some steamy scenes in the book featuring BDSM, mostly on the D/S side of things. And as the middle book of a trilogy, we end on something of a cliffhanger, not a neat wrap up.
Overall, I enjoyed the story but felt it needed a little more depth. More depth to the characters and a bit more to the plot. Nevertheless, I did enjoy it and look forward to reading the next (and perhaps the first) book to see how it wraps up.
Recommended.

This is the second book in the series but I did not read the first one and I was able to follow along. There is one more book after this one and this story ends leaving you wondering what is going to happen next. This story is about two Dominants Roman and Martin and one submissive Lanie. It is about the way they each train her and it is also a story about love. The love Roman and Lanie have for one another. This book contains bdsm scenes but nothing too harsh it basically describes the room with equipment in it and describes her bdsm training. I did not care for Martin, his character was sneaky and I really didn’t like him at the end of the book either. This book is erotica and does contain sex scenes throughout but it doesn’t take away from the story. I would recommend this book to fans of the Author or to those that enjoy erotica with bdsm elements. I was gifted an advanced review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Giving 5 stars but I want to do 4.5. I wish it was not just an installment. I am not a patient person and getting little snippets at a time is irritating. However I knew it going in but did not expect to like the story so much.
In this installment Roman is held at the police station for the possibility he killed someone. Lanie is at the station with him but when he is released he finds that she went home with someone else...
Lanie ends up back with someone from her past, and can not help but react to him. She is told she will never see Roman again and she believes it but does not want to forget him. She was totally in love with him...
Roman works on finding her and when he does he agrees to share her with the man she is with...
Will this setup work? Can they hide their feelings for each other? Who will come after them now???

This continues from where the first book, Bought, ended. Lanie gets taken back by her previous master and sold to another in a matter of hours. Roman searches for her and makes a deal with her other master to train her together.
Things I liked
Well, it continues the story of Bought so it was nice to be able to get some closure. It’s an interesting story even if moves on really fast all the time.
Things I did not like
Once again this has great potential but it doesn’t follow through. I like the story but it’s too fast temped and a lot happens in short time. In a way, I like this better than I liked the first book but once again it ends in a cliffhanger and I have to read the next book in the series to really find out how the story ends.
Conclusion
A good but with great potential but it doesn’t completely follow through. Interesting story line, good characters and a cliffhanger ending.

I liked this one better than the first book in this series. Although it still had its flaws, it managed to keep my interest and I look forward to read more and see where Lanie and Roman’s relationship will go next.
However, I’m still missing some serious character development. Lanie started to show some signs of getting her backbone and standing up for her self, but Roman continues to be a mistery. I still don’t feel deeper emotional connection between them that would explain falling in love overnight. Also, I think there are too many bad guys which makes them one dimensional and just there to give some superficial drama to the story. I would have like it better if the focus was on just one of them so they would have more substance.

This is the second installment in the Last Chance series. We begin with Allanah (Laine) no longer with Roman. Was she taken or did he let her go? Master Winston seems to have got her back, but are his plans for her? Master Holland who was also bidding on her seems to want her for a reason, so why has he got her and what does he want with her? Can Roman ever get Laine back or will she be lost forever to him? What next's for Laine's journey into being a submissive and how far will ALL 3 men go to make her the perfect Submissive?
All will be revealed when you read SLAVED by the brilliant but delectable A.L. Long.
Book 2 in Lanie's story is amazing I absolutely couldn't put it down.In this second installment roman is detained by the cops and Winston steals Lanie and sells her to Martin. Such a wild turn of events.
This story is full of twists turns suprizes and things you cannot imagine.
I went back and forth probably 5 times with if I likes Martin or not. Trying to decide if he was a dubious character or a decent one that bad stuff had happened to.
Roman does not disappoint by any means with trying to find his love. Compromising with roman and then facing off with Stewart and Roman in the end for Lanie's safety.
Looking forward to reading the last in this trilogy.
This continuation from Book 1 "Bought" is better than the 1st as far as intrigue and mystery. You think you have this figured out and it all changes. Alannah (Lanie) is a very complex characters. A submissive that listens to what her dom says. She goes back with Master Winston to Last Chance and is sold to Master Martin Holland. Roman is doing all he can to rescue her from Martin and then she says he is nice. Roman finds evidence to the contrary. Roman and Martin are going to work together to retrain Alannah. Roman ends up having to rescue her from Martin after a very close call.

I did not read the first book in this series, however I found the story read well enough to stand alone. This was really a full out BDSM book that was quite torturous and disturbing at times but it captivated me enough to keep reading!
Alannah was used to being controlled as a submissive so it was so good when she found love as well! However another master has come forward to bid for her and Allanah becomes caught in the middle of the two.
There were definitely plenty of sexy steamy scenes in this erotica book series!!

Obsession, possession, dark romance – part 2 of 5 Lanie is still being manipulated by Master Winston, the old swindler. While everyone is looking at the “suicide” of her father, Winston takes her back. For what? I was so angry during this part of the book I could have spit bullets! New people emerge, new intrigue surfaces but Roman is still there trying to keep Lanie safe. The resolution to this dilemma is quite surprising. Can’t wait for part #3: TAKEN. I hope I can survive it ;-) It comes recommended for readers who don’t mind reading serials with suspense, mystery and steam. I give it 4.5 stars. Slaved is the second book in the Last Chance Series and picks up where Bought left off. If you read book one then you know Lanie was taken from her father when she was a child to be groomed, used and sold to the highest bidder. Roman purchased Lanie and her life turned out better than she thought it would. Lanie and Roman have a deep connection so when she is taken from him he's determined to do whatever it takes to find her and get her back. This novella ends in a cliffhanger so I anxiously await the next book in the Last Chance Series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This story is well written and is about the training of submissive Lanie. Two dominants are infatuated with her, Martin and Roman but for very different reasons. There is some mystery to this story as well as love and some steamy scenes. I haven’t read the first book in this series and although I was able to enjoy this one, I think I may have enjoyed it more had I read book 1 first. I am looking forward to reading book 3 and seeing where this story goes next.

A wonderful continuation of the Roman and Lanie saga. Book 2 picks up exactly where 1 ended. The police are investigating the death and believe that Roman might be a part of it. During this time, Lanie is taken back and sold again. There is a power struggle between Lanie’s new master and Roman.
Book is well written and the storyline is seen through the eyes if Roman and Lanie. Each view is written in a way that you feel their emotions.

Book #2 was good with a new character coming into the mix, but not enough. Finished the book in an hour. Could of been put into another part of the series, but can’t tell yet because I haven’t started the next book. Liked the jealous game of the two men trying to get Laney all to themselves. And more Dominant/submissive action in it and not hard core which I liked. But that storyline ended to abruptly. And on to the next book.

I was so glad to read more about Lana and Roman and this book did not dissapoint (oh except for the clifhanger but was I expecting one). When Lana is taken, Roman is determined to find her and get her back and the journey is an interesting one. This was a short but entertaining read and I cannot wait to read the next book in the Last Chance Series.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
Great EXCITING Read. An entertaining hot read riddled with daunting suspense that's sheathed in mystery and seems to pull you deeper into the dark side that has me feasting off the pages at a quick steady pace. Some unexpected twists and explosive outbursts continue to keep me engrossed with a needy want for the continuation of this series that I'm enjoying the ride filled with excitement. Get it and read it, I know I can't wait to read more.
Huge cliffy at the end of this one as Alannah continued to be confused and submissive to whoever she was with. Wrenched our of Roman’s arms by Winston and immediately resold to Martin. Alannah was as docile and obedient as ever. Sad that she had zero judgement skills inthis episode, and am hoping to see her grow in the next book.

Warning, this book ends in a cliffhanger! Alannah is so controlled and used to being so obedient to her master. She has never experienced love in a relationship. Roman wants to change that but after she is taken from him he has to find Alannah and get her back. Crazy fast read about the dark depraved world Alannah lives in. Love this!! Can't wait for more!!!!!!!!

Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. The story was very short but good. Roman had to rescue Alannah from a man that used her as a slave, he then asked Martain for help. Martain helped with the retrain Alannah from being a slave. Thank you for allowing me to review this book it was great.

This story is about Alannah (Lanie)Jackson, who has only ever known how to serve and be controlled by a ruthless man, until Roman, he rescues her and teaches her how love and be loved. Then things take a turn for the worse when Alannah is slaved by a man just as ruthless as the last. But against his better judgement Roman accepts an offer to help retrain Alannah, while he try’s to find a way to get her back. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. I liked this really enjoyable, entertaining book by A. L. Long. “Slaved” has a great, interesting, well written storyline that kept me engrossed from beginning to end. I really liked and enjoyed reading about the lovely, engaging characters, their super chemistry and interaction really kept me interested in this book. I loved their story. This is a really Good, Intriguing, Must Read Book
Apparently this book is part of a series. I felt so lost reading this. So I can't give a real review because it ended abruptly and I wasn't privy to the previous books. All I can is that Allanah appears to be torn between Roman and Martin, and just escaped a previous owner. Whose son is trying to cause problems for Roman. I would need to read this from the beginning. I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
In this second book, please read the first one "Bought in the Last Chance Series" to totally understand the storyline we learn more about the second man who bided on Alannah ‘Lanie’ Jackson. And not all is what it seems. Lanie has been trained well but Roman must protect her. This is a great read with so many twists and turns I didnt know what was going to happen next!!! Cant wait for book 3 ! A brilliant read!!
The story of Lanie continues. Her life takes a turn when she ends up back with Winston and she is sold to Martin who was the person Roman bidded against in the first place. He is really nice to Lanie which surprises her. Roman eventually finds her and he and Martin agree to train her together, but Roman’s feeling never waver. One way or another her will get Lanie back regardless of Martin.
Book two and another quick read, books one and two could probably be combined into one! In all honesty I didn’t much enjoy the story line in this instalment. Not a fan of the additional character. Didn’t really learn anything more about Roman or Lainey. Still a few books left, can this story redeem itself, who knows!
