If you enjoy writing that is smart, sassy, funny, uninhibited and unafraid with a dash of quirky introspection then this book is for you. Five wonderful stories that left me hoping more are on the way.

Brief but strong collection of five stories by the Pittsburgh-based author. Terrific evocation of life as an adrift twentysomething in a mid-sized city. For flavor, gonna quote my own review, in the local daily: "All five first-person narrators are girls or young women waiting for life to begin. In “Anima,” depressive Vicky is marginally employed in a hipsterville of juice bars and yoga studios. Rachel, in “Homemaking,” is a kid from a dysfunctional family who harbors a fascination with a local real estate agent – just like her beleaguered waitress mom. In “Night Owl,” the narrator rides buses around the city when she can’t sleep, has sex with a stranger, and nurtures an obsession with a smooth-voiced radio jazz DJ."
