The Bride's Brother: An MM Romance Bundle

Rate this book
Toby

Is it wrong to be attracted to the groom in a wedding? Or I thought he was the groom! No, this guy is open and single and... into me? Is he into me?
He'd be the first for quite some time.
I have to admit, seeing all these weddings come and go can be a bit much when you go home all by yourself. But is it ethical to date a client's brother?

Hunter

He's such a snob, but I guess he's no worse than my sister. I'm always the one shoved around by everyone--but even him?
At least he understands when it's a case of mistaken identity. I certainly never said I was marrying my sister. That would be one screwed up situation and besides, I'm not much for women anyway.
Still, I've never met quite anyone like him. He's seen so much love, but he doesn't have any for himself. I wouldn't mind changing that.

This mistaken identity book is steaming hot and ready for your eager fingers. Please, no one under legal age of their country!

i read this box set as part of an arc program. this set includes the books The Bride's Brother, Road to Romance, The Promise, The Prince's Passion, Hollywood Hearts and His Paladin.

The Bride's Brother- This was a funny book that i really enjoyed. Toby was a wedding planner who was hired by Julia to plan her wedding to David. When Julia and Hunter came to the first meeting, Toby forgot the name of her fiance and thought Hunter was it. Hunter was Julia's brother who she asked to help her plan the wedding. Julia was spoiled and acted like she deserved everything she wanted. Toby tried to get Julia to tell him what she wanted in her wedding, but she was only concerned what people would think. David was absent from all of the planning but let her spend whatever Julia wanted. Hunter tried to flirt with Toby, but he was in the closet and not used to asking a man out. Toby was angry that Hunter would flirt with him and he refused to flirt back, even if he was attracted to Hunter. Hunter was also afraid his parents would learn he was gay and he would lose everything. When Toby learned Hunter was Julia's brother and not her fiance, he knew they could date and see what happened. Toby had never had a relationship and was always scared of being hurt. When they began seeing each other, things were going well, but Toby still thought Hunter would leave him. Toby also wanted Hunter to stand up to Julia about the way she treated him.

Road to Romance- This is an enemies to lovers story about Luke and Max, who met in college and now work at the same company. Luke is very serious and works hard for everything and he hates Max. Max is a carefree guy who just takes life as it comes. Luke hates that Max is so carefree and Max uses every opportunity to needle Luke and get him angry. When their boss tells them both they have to deliver a package across country and there could be a promotion for them, they agree to drive the package. When Max picks Luke up the next day, he refuses to let Luke drive and they fight through the first part of their journey. Max has reasons as to why he won't let Luke drive and Luke thinks it is something else. max is attracted to Luke, but thinks it is more fun to get him angry. When Luke gets angry one night he kisses Max, and Max is very confused as to why. Luke hates that he is attracted to Max and he is scared to come out to his grandparents. Max and Luke have a lot to deal with on this trip like their competing for the promotion and their attractions to each other.

The Promise- This is the story of Sam and Austin. Sam is a jewelry designer who works in a small jewelry store for a homophobic Rick in a small town in Florida called Zephyr Keys. Austin owns his own boat and works as a treasure hunter on salvage dives. When Austin brings his treasure to Sam to buy, Sam knows his boss will not pay what it is worth, but he is inspired to create jewelry, so he offers to buy it from Austin himself. Sam is attracted to Austin, but he doesn't know if Austin is gay or not and Sam doesn't want to risk their business deal. Austin is intrigued by Sam and wants to get to know him. Austin can't stop thinking about Sam and realizes he has feelings for him. Austin never realizes he was gay before and wonders if it is the reason he never had a relationship before. Sam and Austin have a great connection and when Austin kisses Sam. they both realize they want more. Sam wants Austin to be sure and Austin asks for Sam to be patient with him.

The Prince's Passion- This is the romance between Daniel, an American photographer and writer and Amand, the Prince of Calonia. Daniel and Ricard were college roommates and are now travelling around Europe together and have just entered Calonia. Daniel wanted to visit Calonia because his grandparents were from there and he has no family left, so he was hoping to find distant relatives. Daniel also had no idea Ricard was a Prince until they were picked up and taken to the palace. When Daniel arrived, he met the rest of the royal family, including Amand. Amand was very reserved and he seemed not to like Daniel very much. When Amand learned there was a threat to Ricard and he was being blackmailed, Amand got the security team involved and thought Daniel could be behind it. After investigating Daniel, it became clear he was innocent. When Daniel traveled around the countryside taking pictures and writing about Calonia, he was threatened and Amand ordered a security team to protect him. Amand is attracted to Daniel and soon he wants to spend time with him and get to know him. Daniel brings out a playful side to Amand that everyone is happy to see. Amand still is investigating the threats that he thinks could be related to a trade deal he is working on. Amand and Daniel get closer and soon Amand thinks if he announces Daniel is now his fiancee, he will be safer. Daniel is not very happy about the announcement and is upset it was done before he was asked how he felt about it.Daniel doesn't want to be in a fake relationship and Amand knows he was wrong, so he vows to make it right. Meanwhile the dangers get closer and the threats more brave.

Hollywood Hearts- This is the romance between Noah and Logan. Noah has built his father's security business and refuses to come out because of his fear his business partner and hos family wouldn't approve. When Noah was working one day at the mall as a favor for a friend, he met Logan when Logan was reported as being a shoplifter. Logan is a former reality star and he is trying to become more serious and mature in hopes of building an acting career. Logan asks Noah out, but Noah refuses saying he doesn't date actors. Noah has been hurt in the past and when his brother pushes Noah toward Logan, Noah tries to fight his attraction, but eventually gives in. Logan has been getting packages and his accounts are being hacked, making him go to Noah for help. Logan knows Noah doesn't want anything serious, but Logan wants to be with him anyways.

His Paladin- This is the story of Quinn and Raine. Quinn is in the army and has suffered a loss he never got over and he is just coasting through life. He works at the base in the supply division and is in charge of three people that work with him. When Quinn is thinking about where to take them on their mandatory fun day, he sees a billboard for a castle that offers roleplaying fun. Quinn decides to go there to get more information. Raine is a single father to Nicole and owns Lochmire Castle, a place where live action role players get together to have fun. Raine sells all kinds of outfits and props and when he sees Quinn, he is stunned into silence by his good looks. Quinn manages to get some information and when they run into each other the next day, Raine asks Quinn if he would like to have some lessons about the role playing. They set a date and agree to meet on Friday. Quinn is nervous about the date, but when Raine shows up, he knows he is going to have fun. They have a great time and end up spending the night together. When Raine learns Lochmire Castle is in the running for a national event, he knows he has a lot of work to do to get it ready. Quinn offers to help, but Raine is a control freak and ends up causing more problems than he solves. Quinn can only take so much of Raine yelling at him and knows he needs help, but Raine refuses to see that.

This was a great set of six great stories from Peter and JP. Loved them all.

This is a compilation of 6 books written by J.P. Oliver and Peter Styles. You'll fall in love with the men inside the covers!

In 'The Prince's Passion', you will find yourself immersed in palace intrigue, romantic gestures and life at court. I found the plot intriguing, both men admirable, and the fast-paced action was enjoyable.
The romance that built between the two men...was very slow paced and sweet...and totally accepted by everyone there.
The political intrigue was believable...especially in the world we live in now. Very well devised.
I especially loved the insight into the world of Calonia and the inhabitants of the castle and town. It was so believable I want to go visit!

'Hollywood Hearts' involves an actor and a security provider with trust issues.
Don't Lie to Me: A simple rule that can be broken...without any malicious intent.
Unlike the chicanery that was shown by others in this book.
Can history repeat itself or will love win out?
A lot depends on how much trust has been built between Logan and Noah.
Logan is an up and coming actor.
Noah has been burnt in the past by an actor.
When some threats are made against Logan, Noah allows his attraction to him to overcome his caution.
So each interaction is fraught with danger.
Especially since Logan is impetuous and flirty.
While Noah is looking to guard his heart.

'The Bride's Brother'
A wonderful twist for the movie about a wedding planner; romantic, funny, sexy, heartbreaking and thoughtful.
All wrapped up in exotic locales with interfering parents who give 'managing' a whole new definition.
Money definitely doesn't guarantee happiness.
But having lots to spend really make things interesting.

'His Paladin' brings a fan of medieval reenactments together with a soldier.
…..If you have ever watched 'The Big Bang Theory,' you have probably got a pretty good idea of how much grown men enjoy dressing up and acting out a fantasy...though theirs is based on 'Star Trek.'
In this wonderful story, Raine has built a castle, invites people to dress as medieval characters and play with swords and daggers while in costume.
Quinn, assigned to the local army base, is very much a loner...one who has always wanted a family of his own.
When the opportunity arises for him to meet Quinn, and then to take his crew to Lochmire Castle for a real battle, he jumps at it.
But their relationship is not without growing pains.
Especially since Raine has some control issues.
Which really get out of hand when the dragon will not work!
This is a really fun story, despite the conflict among the characters, and the HEA is a hard won success for both Raine and Quinn.
As well as potentially a few other people!

'Road to Romance'...can you fall in love in 40 hours?
It became clear as the plot unfolded, that if you put two guys in a close confined space, their true feelings about each other will come out!
Max and Luke, college rivals, are sent on a road trip from Seattle to Los Angeles to deliver a mysterious package, believing that a promotion is tied to its safely arrival..
Along the way, misconceptions are cleared up and their attraction for each other is unleashed!
A little car trouble helps too!
If you love romance mixed with angst, drive throughs and motels, you'll really enjoy this book!

Last, but certainly not least, is 'The Promise.'
Sam is an artist, who finds himself cat and house sitting, on a small key in Florida.
Austin runs a salvage business from his boat, The Promise.
They meet when Austin brings some items to the jewelry shop Sam works in.
Sam purchases some of Austin's offerings to use in his own creations.
Making sure Austin is correctly compensated has the added benefit of pulling one over on his homophobic, bigoted, demeaning boss.
A wonderful story of two loners who meet and find the other half of their heart.

You will enjoy this book. I certainly did!

Finding Love In All The Right Places. Excellent bundle. The Bride's Brother: Will she make it to the church on time? It takes a lot of brotherly love to visit the wedding planner substituting for the groom. What turns a woman about to marry a billionaire a bridezilla? Toby and Hunter seemed a bit juvenile. The story flowed well and Toby and Hunter finally grew up after wise words from Hal, Toby's assistant. Toby and Hunter carried a lot of baggage can they put it down, lockit in a room and find their happy?

The Promise: Classy romantic love story! Its beautiful when the content of the character or the behavior of a person supersedes preconceived notions of what a relationship should be. Austin is a straight man who participates in salvage runs while dreaming of finding that treasure that is 'the one'. Sam is a jewelry architect who made a wrong choice and ended up working for a homophobic jerk. Austin is attracted to the idea of a friendship with Sam. Sam is attracted to the handsome, caring, honorable, loving Austin. They enter into a professional partnership that mirrors their private. They weather the bumps in the anticipation of smooth sailing ahead. The story flows and the characters are defined and likable!

Hollywood Hearts: Noah is an in the closet owner of a security company thinking he needs to protect his image by suppressing his real self. Logan returns home trying to change his image but old habits and circumstances seem to conspire against his renewal. Noah insists on carrying his baggage. Logan is trying to encourage him to set it down for a spell and just play and relax. It is heartwarming watching the two mature and grow into a fun solid relationship. The heat is fan worthy. I received an ARC of this book to review. Nicely done Misters Styles and Oliver.

His Paladin: Delightful! Raine, was a nice guy but he was a contradiction! I enjoyed the story and enjoyed the question of if he could successfully meet his goal. Quinn, was a stand-up guy. He totally lived up to the role as a Paladin! I wish he had stepped up sooner. But I understand some people have to hit rock bottom before they are open to the need for help. Nicole, Raine's daughter is an absolute delight! Roux is a steadfast friend who I would love to hear more about. I would like to hear about Quinn's team also. Nice story. Library worthy!

Road To Romance: Luke and Max are an absolutely delightful complementary couple. Their romance journey kept me riveted. Everyone should have a best friend like Stella. Well done Mr Styles

Ricard is in trouble and Daniel gets in the middle of it. There is a mystery to find out who is the person behind all the trouble. Love blossoms and there is a wedding that everyone attends.

Quinn sees a billboard on the way home one day and goes to check it out. At Lochmire Castle Raine is setting things up and trying to organize everything. Raine runs the Lochmire Castle and has received the invitation that the end battle will be fought at Lochmire. This is a place where you can go to play at being a knight or magic user or anything else in the pretend world of fantasy. Raine is trying to do everything by himself and he runs into trouble. Raine yells at Quinn, Quinn leaves. Can Raine get Quinn to come back? Quinn brings his crew out for the big day. Will Raine find his way back to Quinn? This is a fantastic set by two great contemporary M/M authors.

The Bride's Brother - 5 stars
This is a great slow-burn love story with angst, family drama, commitment phobia, secrets, steamy scenes, and a bridezilla. Can Toby, the wedding planner, and Hunter, the brother of the bride, work things out and find their HEA. Read this great story to find out.

Road to Romance - 5 stars
t's always fun to watch two people who "think" they know each other and "seem" to be complete opposites forced together into close quarters where they find out they don't know as much as they thought and they may not be so different. Besides the competition between the two men, the story also includes issues of not being "out" and family dynamics. This is a fun, sweet story with great, likable characters.

The Prince's Passion - 5 stars
I really enjoyed this book! It has all the good stuff - surprises, danger, suspicion, royalty, instant attraction, a fake engagement, and real romance. I loved Amand and Daniel together. Two great characters! I absolutely love when J.P. and Peter get together to write. The resulting story is never disappointing.

Hollywood Hearts =- 4 stars
This is an enjoyable, emotional story. Logan is a brash young actor; Noah is an uptight, closeted security guard. However, the chemistry between them is undeniable. This is a good story with great characters, a little bit of mystery, some betrayal, intrusive family dynamics, and trust issues. All these issues conspire to derail any chance for love between Logan and Noah. It was an enjoyable and realistic journey to watch the two fumble towards love.

His Paladin - 5 stars
I loved the MCs in this story, although Raine needed to relax a bit and not be such a control freak. Both MCs had experienced loss, and although they had developed coping mechanism, neither was complete. I loved the way Quinn tried to help Raine, even when he wasn't appreciative, and I was hooked into the book wanting to see if they would find a way to fit together and learn to lean on each other.

A bundle with a few different teams. My favorite is Hollywood Hearts, Noah has been burned by his ex and that impact his relationship with Logan, Logan has some security issues and hieres Noah. This is a cute story about finding love, curage, hope and mendling sibling.
The Prince's Passion, a very emotional story. I think Rickard was an spoiled brat at times and the way he treated Daniel and his family at times. The love story bettween Daniel and Amand is sweet and I felt it was a bit rushed at times. Quite exiting story that captivated my attention
Road to Romance, a sweet book about comming out, hurt, missunderstanding and seeing the best in each other.
Luke’s in the closet and «hate» Max, he’s jealous of Max and think he’s carefree and get everything easy in life. He is proven wrong on their buissenes trip, he sees another side of Max and falls in love. Luke struggle with comming out to his grandparents.
Max think Luke is to proper, and likes to poke him to get reactions from him. During the trip Max falls in love but steuggle with the fact that Luke doesnt wanna come out, they solve their issues and realise that they love each other and work though their issues.

Oliver and Styles combined skills to produce six wonderful gay contemporary romances with some heat. The stories are unique and stand alone. They are filled with amazing characters that overcome internal struggles and external barriers to find true love. The storylines are well written and flow easily. The narrative and dialogue increase the allure of the characters and highlight their flaws and strengths. There is an emotional drama to each story that helps draw the reader in and makes you want to read on. I really enjoyed the stories and how the characters grew and developed. The sensual scenes were incorporated well into the storylines enhancing the books rather than causing distractions. If you enjoy romance between two people in love you will like these books. I have not read many gay stories so I was unsure about this bundle, but I found them truly worth reading.

This bundle of books is a great assortment of love, romance and beautiful weddings. My favorite is book 4, the Princes Passion. It is Daniel (an American) and Amand's (a prince, second son of the King and Queen) story. In this story you get to enjoy the description of the beautiful town of Calonian and its people. You get to watch Daniel and Amand grow closer together and enjoy them finding out their shared passions of the arts (music and photography). You then are along for the excitement of blackmailing, kidnapping, shootings and family drama. All the while seeing Daniel and Amand grow closer and see them fall in love. Their HEA is wonderful.

Everyone of the stories in this bundle are well written, descriptive and page turners from start to finish. Job well done by this author!

The Bride's Brother
First, I have to say that the cover is 'PERFECT'. Toby and Hunter sizzle. There's a bit of fear on both their parts to really commit. Neither guy has had a real relationship and both come across as a bit awkward at moments. Hunter is a doormat and I understood why Toby was afraid of taking a more permanent step even though you could feel how much he wanted to. His sister was a bridezilla and Hunter's inability to step up just added to Toby's fear. I applauded Hunter finally coming clean to his parents, I only wished he'd been honest about his job as well. Toby's assistant Hal was a hoot! She cut straight to the point and gave honest counsel. The epilogue was terrific.

I will be adding to this review as I finish the other books in the bundle.

These are interesting, entertaining, romantic and suspenseful stories. Most of the characters are likable and amusing, the ones that don't start that way end up that way. My favorite stories are The Bride's Brother, Road To Romance and The Prince's Passion, they're funny and romantic and sweet. The rest were good, just not as entertaining. Sam is my favorite character, he's cocky and charismatic with a devil may care attitude.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this collection of stories. Each was unique and followed different couples that were not connected to the other books as far as I could tell. And each had a satisfying conclusion. Only the first book was centered around someone else's wedding. The others had their own setups, including royalty, diving, a corporate road trip, Hollywood and LARPing. Each was satisfying for its own reasons and each had its own romantic timeline and steam level.

JP does a great job in humanizing his characters so you feel like you could be friends or have had the same experience. One book i really like is "Road to Romance". The hate/love Max and Luke have and how they overcome the issues is such a fun read.

These two authors are very good separately and even better together. The stories cover many scenarios but each includes a sweet romance, low angst, interesting and varied complications and endings that make you feel good. Give this box set a chance and enjoy a ride.

DNF at 94% due to loss of my eReader on a French train.
The first 5 books were mildly entertaining, however formulaic. Pairs of unlikely men find an attraction, face a crisis, which is resolved for a HEA. Heat scenes are well written.
