Piper It's hard to find a boyfriend when you're a few inches taller than the average guy in your high school. That's why I was stoked to find Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome playing ball with my brother and his friends on the neighborhood court. So, I showed off a little, no big deal. I was pretty good on the court myself. He seemed interested- that first kiss said it all- but something was holding him back.
Drew Piper was...unexpected. Who knew I was into tall girls who could shoot a basketball? But I was. At least, I was into Piper. A lot. It didn't matter, though. I promised myself no relationships. I was in a new town. At a new school. I didn't need a repeat performance of what I went through before. So, no girls. No basketball team. No games, on or off the court. Now, if I could just get this girl out of my head.
Can Piper convince Drew they can be just as good off the court as they are on it?

I am always looking for Basketball Romances, and compared to Hockey or Football I haven’t found so many. So I was happy to find this one. I liked the story a lot of the bad things that happen in this book are predictable that’s why I will rate it with 3 stars. I enjoyed the story and the dynamics between the main characters and the supporting characters. The book has a reasonable length and it is entertaining.
It’s hard being just one of the guys, especially when you feel different. I love the support her brother and his team gave her throughout the book. I especially love how the two main characters came together and helped build each other up. Also an example of the terror of bullying. Great story for a generation who needs to see hope at the end of dark tunnels.
Wow! I loved this book! I can't wait to read every other book in the series and I can't wait to read everything else by Stephanie. The book captured my attention from page one and I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. My only complaint was that the book ended. But since Stephanie has a whole bunch more books, I won't be bored. My biggest dilemma is which one to read next.
This was a fun book to read. I read the 4th book in this series, so I was already familiar with the characters. They seem like a fun group! I will say that I felt the book didn't have much depth. It was very surface level, but there were some seriously deep issues going on here. Maybe digging a little deeper and exploring the events that happened to Drew and Piper would have given us a different dimension of them. Also, there were some editing errors that a quick proofread would fix. Overall, a very easy sweet read.
I’m still stuck on the fact... if I read a book about a tall girl... the author makes it seem like the girl can never find clothing or shoes. 🤣 Like the lies that be in this book... because real life there are clothing for women/girls who’s 5’9 to 5’11 even 6 feet and up women. Half the time, guys love tall females. Plus, most tall women wear men and women shoes tf! Lol!!! I roll my eyes at stuff like this. But do enjoy that I’m reading a book about a tall female. Because half the time I read a book with a female who’s 5’ foot something! 🥱🙄... 9/10 they are complaining 🤣🤣🤣.... mostly about skinny women/girls... but hey this book good though!!!
When reading this book I think half the guys pick at her about her height might have a crush, but scared to ask her out, so they say mean things. Since; they may be scared of her twin, Luck might think if they ask her out!!!! Heck, Drew doesn’t give two flying sheep about her height; he in love with her long legs 🤣 and happy he doesn’t have to pick her up! Lol!
You could tell that Drew aka Andrew (real name) parents are full of it and I understood why he didn’t want Piper to meet his family (parents) I think he felt at least he met Kitty aka Mary (real name).. that was enough until his ex Blair popped up and ruined things. But at least Noah understood and let Piper go with him (Drew) and let him explain his side of the story because I came to realize Piper to jump the gun before... before thinking anything through. She will run instead of talking.
Also, I knew that Jack was a piece of crap.. and was going to come back for her after everybody left. I had a feeling the same thing that happened with those other girls would happen to Piper... they said it was easy to get her. But the only reason that happened was that she left her phone. If she didn’t, they wouldn’t have kidnapped her. I was glad that Luke had a tracker that he could track where his twin was at... that’s a reason why I keep mines on because you never know what will happen... and also you can lose your phone and find it by a tracker...
But in the end, I was glad things turn out good for both of them. Drew ended up playing basketball for the high school team.. (though it was shocking that he was a basketball star), and he finally admitted his feelings for Piper and stopped pushing his feelings away from her...
i appreciated that both of them was willing to admit they were wrong. i liked that piper didn't have a "makeover" but that she was a tomboy that could dress up if she wanted to. i enjoyed guessing at backstories and cringed at the bullying and completely swooned when i adored drew's personality and style; a good guy that dressed like a bad boy, a guy that was smart academically but also athletic, and yeah he had his vices but i loved him (i get you piper.)
also THE HEIGHT THING! i'm probably between 5'9 and 5'10, and it's nothing because i have two girl friends who are 6'0.5, and i know i want a tall guy so i get piper and i liked that aspect. just an FYI, lol.
also i loved the friend group, the basketball emphasis, the relationship between luke and piper, and i'm looking forward to reading noah's book tonight - and luke's (and grayson's) tomorrow ,-)

I’ve been reading some so so books lately and so this one was a breath of fresh air. It drew me in, kept me reading with ease and at times made me not want to put it down. Most of the book wrapped up issues well but the last issue faced at the end of the book felt a tad rushed and a somewhat abrupt ending. It almost made me drop a star but in the end I decided the rest of the book made up for it.
I absolutely adored this story! The captivating chemistry between the main characters and the intriguing plots held my attention throughout. The blend of real-life topics with a touch of fantasy was truly engaging. The inclusion of the FMC's brother added depth to the storyline. Can't wait to dive into the rest of the series. Yes, I am definitely going to binge-read!
Sweety, intense. Clean. Bullying, self confidence. Sports. High school drama. Quick easy read. Swoony. I enioyed it for a bit of escapism. Some mild swearing. No sex. Teens in compromising situations, but nothing graphic described.
I wish it had more on those jerks and what happened to them because that was really messed up What they did . Drew has a messed up family and when they moves he dose things differently but his parents Interference threatens the new life he’s built up.
It was cute and had a good plot to follow. I felt like the ending was rushed, the big stuff just happened and they “fixed it” and the story was over… I definitely have questions and wonders about some of the other unresolved issues the characters were facing
This was a really great book. The characters were easy to fall in love with. So glad Drew and Piper got past all their issues and got together. When Piper was at the community art place and Jack showed up I got a bad feeling in my gut. My gut was right. It was so hard to read that chapter. Even though it was awful her family and friends were there for her through it all.

I absolutely fell in love with Piper, Drew and the rest of the Eastridge Heights basketball crew in this incredibly sweet YA romance series. Make sure you have time set aside to devour the entire series because once you start you won't want to stop until the final page of Book 4 -- which makes every page between worth it.
I think the characters turmoil and emotional growth didn't hit as strong. But.i liked the characters. The entire dngnwas abrupt and the dram seemed weak. Tacked on the end. Not.something I would read again. But not bad by any means.
