These collections of encouraging thoughts and comforting words offer a fresh perspective on the human experience in a striking format that features details from Japanese prints and textiles and four-color metallic ink. Bringing together a wide range of voices, ancient and modern, from both the East and West, each volume serves as a powerful reminder that the key to a contented life lies with the individual. Theological and philosophical thoughts from Greek mythology, Eastern and Western religion, proverbs, art, and literature offer wisdom, inspiration, and solace. Among the featured leaders, philosophers, artists, and scientists are William Butler Yeats, Salvador Dali, Benjamin Franklin, Mother Teresa, Plato, and Einstein.
This book was quite interesting; talks about how to be happy with thoughts relevant to work, mood, life and death, philosophies, journeys and 'advice'. However, it does slowly become repetitive - at least it did for me anyway. May reread this again, although I was not fond of the fact that there were several spelling mistakes and a lot of the 'thoughts'/quotes seemed to be copied word for word from a couple of other books I've read in the past. May be useful for those who want a potentially inspiring thought a day or something like that, but I believe one could find far more useful books than this one.
