Lucifer is no longer the only angel to fall...not after what I just did.
All angels are offered a choice: attend the Celestial Academy or be cast out of Heaven. Until two hours ago, only one angel since the beginning of time has ever made the choice to leave. Today, I made that two.
No one warns you where you go after the fall. If I'd known, I can't help but wonder if I'd still have made the same choice.
It turns out there's another Academy, and in order to earn the right to freewill on Earth, I'm going to have to make it through an entirely different set of trials.
I traded angels for demons, among other things, and it's obvious I am not one of them. Here, in the midst of the very worst Hell has to offer, I stand out like a light in the dark...and that isn't a good thing. In just a few short hours, I've already drawn the unwanted attention of several of the more devilishly-handsome (is that a compliment here?) brutes...and they've made it abundantly clear that they don't want me here.
If I want a chance at life on Earth, I need to graduate...but first, I'll have to survive the Demigod Trifecta.
My name is Eden, and today is my first day at Hellfire Academy.
Today, I become one of The Fallen.
Fallen is the first book in a new adult series of full-length reverse harem academy bully romances. Some scenes portray subject matter that may be difficult or triggering for some readers. Read at your own risk! 18+
So I enjoyed about 80% of this but unfortunately the other 20% was so awful I can’t rate this higher.
I’m no stranger to the bullymance. I’ve read a fair few by now but after this I have to ask myself ...when did bullying turn into psychical abuse and mutilation?? How am I supposed to ever believe or forgive these guys when they do something so heinous? The redemption is now impossible. There is absolutely no coming back from that ending.
Aside from that off putting ending the rest went as you expect from an academy series. Dorms, uniforms, class schedules etc etc Eden is angel cast from heaven and the most innocent and naive of characters. And supposedly a 1000 years old. Yea. She doesn’t act like it..
Partly due to the most sheltered of upbringings, understandable that’s she like a lamb to the slaughter. She has no social skills. Can’t tell the difference between a friend and foe. Ergo. You’ll wanna slap her
I can’t see myself reading on. Unless someone is able to tell me she brings out some angelic sword out of her ass and kills them all.

wow, just wow. This book got me from the get go I seriously could not put it down. one mc who is seriously amazing. 3 evil-ish romantic interests one super mean girl and a best friend that the MC doesn't know is the best friend even if you don't enjoy bully romance the first in the series is actually fairly tame, warning though it does end up in a cliff hanger holy moly but what a cliff hanger cannot wait for more.
Fall from the sky with Eden, an angel with a fascination for humans and their world. At the coming of age ceremony, she chose not to join the Celestial Academy not knowing what happens after that. She gets cast out and falls from the sky, to only end up In the Hellfire Academy, where she struggles to blend in with all other types of paranormal’s. Being an angel, her secret she must keep. Will she be able to keep her secret? How is she to survive in this new world of deceit and pain? Did she make the right choice?
I could not put this book down, devoured it in one sitting. This is a bully romance, filled with deceit, pain, mistrust and confusion but with the added innocence and love for Eden. Character building is strong and well done, and you find yourself in her shoes and screaming nooo… at some of the decisions she makes, questioning all the characters motives. Eden, strong but naive has to deal with the all too delicious bad boy bully Demigod Trifecta, Fenn a trickster, Thorne, and Rhys, an energy vampire, they are relentless in finding out what she really is, why she has an effect on them and make her life a misery. Dealing with snobby girls and balancing friendship. Can she trust anyone? Who are her true friends?
The plot and story-line are fantastic, great writing and descriptive. There is a hidden bigger story underneath it all and I can not wait to find out what it is. Would have loved a sexy scene but the story-line is strong enough without it, hence the 5 stars, a great build-up for the series to come. Overall a great read and had my emotions up in the air and jumping around to only fall as hard as Eden had. Huge Cliffhanger that had me in tears. I can’t wait for the second installment !!!! Need it in my hands now!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fallen has an interesting concept, but the story could benefit from a bit more development. The basic premise, of an angel who is cast out of Heaven because she's different, because she has different desires, has a lot of potential, and Wilde definitely does access some of that.
Eden winds up Falling (yes, the capital is on purpose), but Wilde doesn't let her just go to Earth to live with the humans whose lives she covets and has endless curiosity about. Instead, Eden winds up at Hellfire Academy where she has to hide her heritage for her own protection.
At Hellfire, there are really just a few characters who we get to know a little bit. Eden's roommate, a half-blood, is this bubbly, kind personality who acts as one of the lighter forces in Fallen. Nyx, the "it" girl at school is someone who will make you scrunch up your face and "hmmm" quite a bit.
It takes a long time, at least I was back and forth anyway, to really ascertain Nyx's true intentions in the long run. That's what I'm a bit iffy on. I think I would like to see a little more black and white there instead of shades of grey.
The guys- the Demigods of the academy- are definitely not likable at this point. Although Fallen does not go to some of the bullying depths that we see in Shunned or Burberry Prep, they do make it clear that they don't want Eden to feel welcome at Hellfire Academy. If you're the type who wants the bullies to see some redemption sooner, rather than later, I must warn you that you won't get that in book one.
Overall, I was interested as I was reading Fallen, but I don't know that I really feel invested in the series as a whole.
An Angel (Eden) is in Hell literally!! Except Hell is in the form of Hellfire Academy. A school for all kinds of demons as such. Like a fish out of water Eden has to not only keep quiet that shes an angel but try to fit into an academy full of hells demons & they wouldnt be very welcoming to her if they found out that. Piece of cake eh? Add to the mix three demons - Rhys, Thorne and Fenn. Three unfriendly students/demons that are near enough ruling the academy and cant seem to keep away from Eden. Angels, Demons, sex and a bit of violence all combine to make for a devil of a book. Oh and the ending left me open mouthed lol. Devilishly good!
Eden is an Angel in literal hell!! Or should I say Hellfire Academy!! A school for all kinds of Demons. She not only has to adjust to being there but has to keep quiet about being an Angel as they wouldn’t be that welcoming!! She meets three demons/students who are the bully’s of the school but who also rule the school. This book has a little bit of everything sex, violence, devil and angel. It also has a cliffhanger and I desperately want the next book!! The writing is fabulous and it flows continuously through the book. I went through a multitude of emotions whilst reading this book!! All in all this book was divine!!
I really enjoyed the first book in the hellfire academy. This series has so much potential. I loved Eden. This book only scratches the surfaces of the characters. I need to know and understand more about the Demigod Trifecta and how they fit in with Eden. My heart broke and watched Eden and the relationship of her one true friend be upended by a snake. We know there is so much more to this story based on the prophecy that Eden is trying to uncover. I enjoyed the book and t would have been a five star but the ending left me feeling a little wanting. I wanted to understand more of why the guys did what they did, but for the most part this series has so much potential to be great.
Fallen by Alice Wilde is Book 1 in her latest Hellfire Academy series. It’s a spin on the RH Bully genre and provides an entertaining read. Categorised as New Adult it touches on physical bullying so make sure you are aware of the warnings. I found the MC young but with a lovely disposition and certainly you see her grow through the constant challenges she faces, the guys are beautiful tormentors and throw in another girl who is nasty..... I suspect book 2 will provide some answers and a good old dose of revenge.
I received an ARC for this book for a honest review. I see so much potential in this story. It has a great plot idea and the perfect harem of assholes with the sweet best friend. I just finished the book feeling like I’d barely connected with the characters. Some of the dialogue felt uncomfortable and there were certain sections in the story that felt breezed over. But all in all I desperately want to know what happens next!
Wow! What a wonderfully written book! Can't wait to find out what happens in book 2! Such a good storyline and great characters. Such a cliffhanger ending! Need answers! Lol
This book pulled on my heart-strings. Eden chose to go her own way, and as a result, ended up in Hellfire academy. There she met characters who I REALLY would like to clobber over their heads! She is thrown into the mix, has to endure horrendous things and all I want to do is give her a hug and tell her that she can sit with me. The writing is amazing, the story keeps me on the edge of my seat and the characters are all so unique....I can't wait to find out how Eden will cope with the changes towards the end of the book, and look forward to reading the second book in the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Such an incredible first book to a series. I love that there is so many loose ends and questions that still need answering. I really enjoyed how Alice introduced us to her characters and let us get to know them while also driving us crazy wondering how things were going to go. Edens story hooks you and you find yourself desperate to help her find answers. The cliffhanger was heartbreaking and I can't wait for the next book! Awesome job!
This book...is horrible, like fucking disgusting. Like I'm not going to lie, I was intrigued in the beginning when Eden has been cast out of heaven and has landed on Earth, more specifically Hellfire Academy. However, the whole plotline was just going nowhere. It was just predictable, Eden capturing the attention of the three guys who turn out to be sadistic assholes, who are so fucking paranoid about some good-hearted girl that they think she's a spy. There was this one scene where Thorne had miserably failed to levitate Eden, he literally went up to her and fucking slaps her so hard she falls on the ground. And what does the teacher do? Tells Kate to take Eden to the infirmary...and that's fucking it like you just saw one of your students harass another student. After that, there was this class of torture or whatever, and Eden got paired with Rhys. The messed up assignment given was to practice torturing your partner, and literally the text stated that the room was echoed with the screams of others. So Eden hits him with a leather crop and Rhys breaks free of the leather, kisses her, and then hurls her to the ground and leaves. And what does thatteacher do? Stands there watching them, and after Rhys left, goes to her to inform her that it was fucking impressive that she got a rise out of him. Like what the fuck! And then sometimes during the book, Kate finds out Eden's an angel. Kate then begins to act like a self-conscious, idiot person and moves out of their room. While Kate speaks to her mom on the phone, Nyx overhears this and blackmails her. Oh, stay away from the Trifecta whatever demigods and I'll keep your secret. Like bitch, shut the fuck up. During their exams, Eden just so coincidentally gets paired up with the sadistic three, and Nyx becomes furious. Okay and then get this, Nyx gets mad and pushes Eden backward towards the ground. And then, her wings pop out. First of all, I'm not sure if its instinct of anything, but it's like a metre fall and you decided to pop out your wings? Does she not have a sense of self-preservation? OKAY SO THIS IS THE MOST FUCKED UP PART. After the sadistic three sees Eden's wings, Rhys hangs her up her throat, while the other two begin to rip her wings off of her. And then....the end. That's literally it! Like I can respect a cliffhanger if it seems reasonable, but seriously, the book ends literally when Eden's demise is so fucking obvious? Oh and guess what? The teacher that was overseeing their exams? Yeah, that teacher just stood there, watching while the three assholes attack an innocent student.

I feel like I kept waiting for something to happen...
I really wanted to like this book, the idea was super intriguing. I'd never read a book about a fallen angel with a plot similar to this so I was instantly interested. It started off god, the word building was beautiful, the characters were just underdeveloped. Our MF was suppose to be super old, but she was so naive about everything. She starts in heaven with her original friend and roommate of century's apparently but said friend never even noticed she didn't have any abilities, but getting abilities was suppose to be an Angeles main thing. And she never realised her friend has certain abilities also ? even tho they spent every moment together.
Then she just decided on the spot she doesn't want to go to college for angels, and ends up a fallen angel and poof she's at demon college.. When she gets there that's when it just gets worse, she just become a naive girl who has the common sense of a 12 year old. She has no back bone what so ever and alienates her only friend. Worst of all her only friend who finds out she's a fallen, just tells her secret like it's nothing, so she obviously was lousy also (she also has no backbone) she is friend enemies with a siren who uses her constantly and she just let's her even tho she knows it's wrong. And our harem, are clueless brutes who literally beat her senseless and rip her wings off her, yet she keeps going back for more.
It was a mess, plan and simple. this book could have been amazing. It honestly felt like the writer got bored with it also. It was uncomfortable, predictable, and bland.
Our heroin was just so weak, childish, and idk. She was just unlikable. Our harem men had no redeeming qualities, and I could barely tell them apart of what their different specialties were.the only thing I know about them is they were demigod trifecta, and that's just bc it's repeated over and over with no real explanation if what that actually means, they all just kind of mashed together.
This book was just okay to me. There was really no explanation for why the bullying was occurring, even though we were given the guys’s POV. Eden just goes along with what she is told by staff and yet she doesn’t (I’ll give a spoiler below to explain what I mean). I also don’t like the fact that none of the guys’s characters are fleshed out more- I feel like so much more could have happened within the POVs provided.
I really liked the concept of the story and apart from what I’ve mentioned (and the spoiler below), I enjoyed the story.
**spoiler to follow** Eden is told she needs to keep her identity as an Angel a secret (and is not really told why) and just goes along with it. And then, in an obvious manner, has to spill the secret with her new BFF (who she really has no reason to trust- and is shady in her own right). I just wish Eden had a little more depth to her and questioned everything more. I still enjoyed the story overall, though.
I loved the whole concept in this story. The plot thickens from the first page and your left wanting more. The plot is set in this first book and the characters are building well. The idea of a hell type academy and the suspense of finding out so much more to the characters and story, has you invested in continuing the series. You'll be holding your breath at times and laughing out loud with this story. This first book sets up for more epic journeys that are to come in the continuation of this series. I hope the characters keep building, that we get to see more characters from the past, that the heat builds and that the story thickens. Loved this idea Alice, and am so looking forward to reading more of Eden and the boys. I wished it was longer but after finishing, I can see that you're building the story up and letting the characters discover the truths right along with us readers. Received an arc for an honest review!
I found fallen an enjoyable read. I would like to have seen more world building. After finishing Fallen, i found i still couldn't really see the plot of the story. Apart from Eden is a fallen Angel, she is different and has to hide who she is.
She doesnt know her purpose and is stumbling through an academy not understanding why or what she is doing..
We dont get to see any RH in this book. Just an introduction to three jerks who like to bully. This is definitely super slow burn...
There are other characters that i would like to know more about like kate.
It was good to hear/read a few fleeting thoughts of the demigods. RHYS, Thorne, and fenn. But their p.o.v's were very fleeting.
The ending is very abrupt and cliff hanger alert!!! But it certainly does leave you wanting to know more.
I will certainly read the next instalment. I liked Fallen. 4 stars from me.
Wow. This book was so emotional, I swear I felt every shred of innocence being ripped from sweet Edens heart. Eden is an angel that when asked if she wants to stay in heaven and attend celestial academy she declines, breaking the one rule of staying in heaven. So she is immediately cast out, awaking in Hellfire academy. I really like Eden, Alice Wilde does such a good job of detailing the many differences Eden goes through even though she’s lived a few millennia. She’s very pure, and the Demigod Trifecta ( plus jerkface Nyx) do a great job shredding every ounce of both life and purity in her. The boys so far have done zero redeeming, this is the closest to Burberry prep ( going further than in my opinion) violence and evil wise. This was a great first book setting up for an exciting and refreshingly original and darker Bully Rh ❤️
Eden is cute and innocent. She still have to survive, and I'm still not sure how that gonna happen. The characters are really greatly built, the happenings around Nyx and Kate are so realistic, it hurts, also the guys were painted well too! (Yes, I really hated them when they weren't in ther nicest behaviors :D) I loved when Eden received a spoonful from mankind, it was practically a slap on her face to stop being so naive. I'm just wondering if there will be a further answer, how Eden ended up in the doors of the academy though (there are some hints, but I'm not sure), and there were a couple other mysterious guys that would deserve a bit more in the next part :) The ending was very well written as well - even surprising for a certain level - but of course I don't want any spoilers :) I am VERY curious, how the story goes further.
I really loved the idea behind this book. It's one I've not come across before and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters are great and so well written that some of them I wanted to go and deal with myself! The world is beautifully built and I love how it is set up. I almost cried at the end. It is a great start to a new series and I am so looking forward to seeing what happens next. I have so many questions that I need answers to...I have to know!
This book is brutal. Eden ending up at Hellfire Academy breaks my heart a little. The demigod trifecta are complete demons and the way they treat her is awful. I hope they find some redeeming qualities in the next book.... because after that ending. Not sure they are redeemable. Looking forward to book 2.
What an interesting story with a surprise ending you won't believe. Lux is a character with an interesting story. Everywhere she goes, it seems trouble follows. The beautiful ones each have their own stories, that are interwoven with Lux and her destiny.
I can't wait to see what is next in store for Eden and the horrible demigod trifecta! I really liked this book and it's storyline. I did find the first couple chapters a little slow reading, but after that, the story seemed to fly by!
Had a little trouble getting into this book but once I did I really liked it! Eden is a very good innocent character... I feel really bad for her most of the book..
