She has a head for business and a body for sin.

He is a coach who knows how to use his equipment.

Neither is looking for love.

Should be easy, right?

Wrong.

This might be the most important game Kendall Wales and Hunter Owens have ever played where everything is on the line.

With one wrong play, they could lose it all.

Hopefully, the game clock doesn’t reach zero before it’s too late.

*A stand alone novel that combines Kelly Elliott's The Playbook and Kristin Mayer's Trust Me.

“I didn’t want to move. I wanted to live out the rest of my life inside this woman. ”

“I had never felt so connected to someone. It was as if we’d become one person. ”

“Love means giving someone the chance to hurt you while trusting them not to. ”

“Life isn’t some damn movie you play a part in. There are no guarantees.”

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Kelly Elliott’s writing. So, when I heard that she was co-writing a book with author Kristin Mayer, I just knew I had to check it out. And let me tell you, these two do not disappoint. Their writing is flawless and captivating. The story they’ve written not only sucks you in, but leaves you hanging on to every last word.

Play Me was everything that I wanted and was looking for in this collaboration. The chemistry between Hunter & Kendall was explosive and their banter kept me on my toes. These two were like dynamite and I just couldn’t wait to see where their next interaction would take us.

I absolutely adored Kendall. She was strong, independent and totally career minded. She worked hard and wasn’t afraid to prove that she belonged in a man’s world. And then we have Hunter. He’s a former football coach that is content spending his days working on his ranch. That seems to be working well for him until Kendall shows up and makes him an offer he can’t possibly refuse….

What else can I tell you about Play Me other than I loved it?! From start to finish, I was completely captivated. The characters stole my heart instantly and I couldn’t help but fall head over heels for their story. From flawless writing and an entertaining plot to fun characters and a love worth fighting for, this book totally hit all of the marks. Hunter stole my heart with his swoon worthy words and his devotion to Kendall. And I loved seeing Kendall grow as a character and take risks and live the life she was always meant to live. Other than some minor drama, Play Me is a straight up beautiful romance that is destined to steal your heart. I loved everything about this story and this collaboration. I can’t wait to see what goodness this partnership will bring us readers next.

DNF. Strangler?!

Proof readers, where were you?
My review started going downhill right out of the gate with the editing. Atlanta is in Ga, not NC. The NFL team name changed more than once. Wrong pronouns used.
I could have looked those over, but the characters were silly. She's supposed to be a tough business woman, but the whispering and demure behavior made her look wimpy and juvenile. He starts out alpha, but very quickly he turns into mush. I can't even believe in the Insta-love premise because it's said after sex, after they'd spent all of their time arguing.

5 x 200 = THAT MANY STARS & SOME!!

Not my first read by either author! I have been looking forward to this for a long time! Can't wait for the cover reveal too!!

Kendall is a bad-ass woman! I loved her with just a few pages in! The moment she fired the head coach, BOOM insta-love because she was professional and stood up for herself. I mean in a football world filled with mostly men, she stood her ground! Fist off her parents, are also the bomb. Nothing better than reading about supportive parents characters. Makes me all warm inside and lets me read the rest in a good flow, ready for anything! And ready WAS I NOT! What a book, guys...what a book, wow!!

Hunter is a former NFL coach who is not so ready to jump back in, for anyone...unless her name is Kendall and she left her Louboutin's at his ranch. Hunter is a sexy and loving man's man...a cowboy with a hint of bad because of his tattoo sleeve. Perfect combo for Kendall, or at least she thought when she first saw him.

From their first meet to everything next, these two have such a great dynamic it's so beautiful. Their bickering is I a sexy adult way, Kendall is really a kick ass heroine, can safely say that she is a top favorite. I just loved their chemistry! Little but of suspense in there too and some heartbreak as well.

But, with everything...can Kendall juggle it all? No. No...will Kendall let herself want to juggle it all, is a better question!!

If I can give this a thousand starts I WOULD! 5 PLUS PLUS PLUS & HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

What the actual hell?

I thought this book was gonna be solid, I liked that our heroine was someone who struggled to find balance between her personal and work life but the whole book is just ridiculous.
The pace in the beginning was okay but after they kissed everything started moving so quickly and real relationships don't work like that???
There were also a few problematic things and I just can't
I found myself skimming through most of the book, it's just a no from me.

I was liking some of the story but it was just too cheesy.
Also why do the cover models look like porn stars?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a sports romance junkie; it doesn’t matter the sport or the level of competition…this tomboy just loves any and all story lines, whether they’re in the forefront or the background, that include the wide world of sports!

And, that’s exactly why Play Me by Kelly Elliott and Kristin Mayer was a no brainer ARC read…add to that the fact that the premise included an intelligent, driven, and more than qualified female general manager for a minor league football team who knows the game of football and has the determination to succeed…and then there’s the hero - an alpha male and a gentleman who is all kinds of swoon worthy and that makes Hunter and Kendall’s story a MUST READ!

There’s a bit of a love/hate relationship between Hunter and Kendall at the start, which makes sense given the fact that they’re stubborn as heck, and both are used to calling the shots. But it’s beyond clear from the start that these two have off-the-charts chemistry and will eventually give into the sexual tension surrounding them…it’s just what happens when lust and desire turn into something more…something scary, at least in Kendall’s mind, that they’re going to have to figure out because one playing offense and one playing defense when it comes to their hearts will never end in victory but rather something even more devastating than defeat.

There’s so much to love about Hunter Owens; he’s definitely the complete package and then some;) He can sweet and dirty talk with ease and the way his presence commands attention is something to behold. BUT, it’s Hunter’s resilience when it comes to one of the Mustang’s players that stands out above the rest. He never stopped trying to reach Josh...no matter how many times he messed up, Hunter kept his faith in Josh and some of the most powerful scenes in the story are the ones where Hunter works to understand Josh and make Josh see the player and the man he can be if he gets his act together.

Regardless of how strong and feisty Kendall is in her general manager position, she’s still a woman in a male-dominated profession, which means that every action she takes and every decision she makes is scrutinized by the Board of Directors, by her employees, and by her players. She can’t show weakness or it’s used against her, which means Kendall has to walk a very narrow line because it seems like everyone’s waiting and expecting her to fail. And it’s those burdens that made it easier for me, even though she did frustrate me a bit, to understand her perspective when it came to her feelings for Hunter and her need to prove herself in her career.

Hunter and Kendall’s parents added so much to the story line and Elliott and Mayer did an amazing job of illustrating just how important these relationships are…how much their mom and dad ground both Hunter and Kendall and help them to realize what’s most important in life, making sure that their lives are filled with more than just a job they love. Their bond is so essential to all of their lives and that idea is shown in every private discussion, every declaration of love, and every father/daughter, mother/daughter, father/son, and mother/son interaction.

Play Me is a sweet, steamy, sassy, and heartwarming story that focuses on the importance of balance in life and in love as well as the supportive bonds that are absolutely necessary for coping and enduring. Hunter and Kendall grow so much individually as well as, as a couple as they learn to adjust to changes and to revel in all of life’s precious gifts. I enjoyed this book so much, and I cannot wait for these two authors to collaborate for another romance read!

Though I have read several books by Kelly Elliott, this is my first read by Kristen Mayer, but not my last! I absolutely loved Play My by this writing duo. This story consumed me from start to finish, and I could not stop reading until I had devoured the entire book!

Kendall and Hunter were amazing together. Their chemistry was steamy and their banter witty and entertaining. Kendall was smart, beautiful and full of sass! You can’t help but love her. Hunter was sexy and swoon-worthy. He is a retired coach just enjoying life, but Kendall needs him now as she begins to take charge in the family business. Can she convince him to help her?

Play Me by Kelly Elliott and Kristen Mayer was such a great read with amazing characters. I loved their journey so much. A sport romance that was so much more. Full of chemistry and charm, I highly recommend it!

Absolutely loved it! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.

Well, hellloooo Hunter!!!

Right off the bat I knew I’d love his character. Not only was he a man of his word, but damn swoony too. He knew what he wanted and he went after it. And did I mention he’s swoon-worthy AF???

Kendall was quite funny and the Mike and Ike’s prank will forever stay with me. I’m thinking of trying that with my husband since he loves that candy so much, LOL! Her control-freak issues reminded me of myself because I tend to obsess over details like that so it was pretty amusing reading it. I mean, a laminated cooking schedule? How clever! LOL!!

Overall, this was a sweet, fast-paced romance that I recommend you one-click and devour!

~ 5 My Beginning and My End Stars ~

The writing duo of Kelly Elliott and Kristin Mayer has done it again!! This is the second book they have collaborated on and it was FANTASTIC!!! I was so excited to see them announce they were writing another book together and it was going to bring two of their other worlds together. This book did not disappoint!!!

I have always loved Kelly Elliott’s writing style, but I am not too familiar with Kristin’s, but I love when two authors can come together and write so seamlessly. That’s what you get with these two. You read the book and you can’t tell who writes what….they just work perfectly together.

Play Me is a standalone novel that is told in Dual POV. Like I said it brings Kelly Elliott and Kristin Mayer’s worlds together. How you may ask?? Well in this book we follow the journey of Hunter Owens and Kendall Wales. Hunter Owens is the son of Brett and Aubrey Owens, which we followed their story in The Playbook by Kelly Elliott. Kendall Wales is the daughter of Damien and Ally Wales from Kristin Mayer’s Trust Series. NO you don’t have to read any of the other books to fully enjoy this book. It truly is a standalone!!! I will say that I do want to go back and read the Trust Series now that I have met Damien and Ally.

In this book we follow these characters on their road to HEA. Hunter is a retired NFL coach who now lives and runs his ranch in Tennessee. Kendall is trying to learn the sports aspect of her father’s company so that she will be able to step in and run the company when he retires. Kendall is also out to prove that she can do things without relying on her father’s name. Kendall has been put in charge of the new minor league football team her father has purchased….in Kentucky. After seeing what she has to work with, she knows she needs to bring in the big guns….that is where Hunter Owens comes in. Except he is not interested!!! Can Kendall talk Hunter into helping her out?? What happens when professional crosses over into personal?? Can they make things work to get their HEA?? Read this book to find out.

I love Hunter and Kendall so much. Their banter was hilarious and their chemistry was off the charts. Both of these characters had drive and commitment. But they also had some walls to work over and break down. I loved watching them grow together. This is a couple you are going to want to meet!!

Play Me is definitely a MUST READ. If you are a fan of a sports romance, this is one of the best I have read. I thought the authors did a great job balancing out the sports aspect and not overloading the story with sports talk. If you are a fan of either of these authors, you will want to read this book. But if they are new to you, this is the perfect book to start this journey on!!!

Fine line between love and hate

I did enjoy the characters in this book and their love/hate attraction. What I found really random was the back story of the troubled star player in their team that came randomly at the end. Clearly this was where the 2nd author took up the story and it was tagged on the end as an after thought or to get another book with his story. To me it just took away from the two lead characters and spoilt the story.

Well, I already knew I loved Kelly Elliott’s writing, but I know think Kelly Elliott and Kristin Mayer writing together may just be my new favorite duo ever! Play Me is insanely good. It’s one of those reads you pick up and immediately think “oh my god this is going to be epic!” After reading just a few pages. This book starts out strong and just gets better and better as you read!
Kendell and Hunter’s story has literally everything. Humor, heat, sweetness and all the swoon. Kendell is one seriously awesome lady. Smart, strong and paving her way in a male dominated career I adored her immediately. Hunter while totally different in a lot of ways was also someone I loved instantly. More laid back this current cowboy and previous NFL coach was a whole lot of sexy. From the moment they first meet the sparks fly between them. That instant attraction as they clash creates some of the greatest banter that soon grows into an amazing relationship.
I now desperately need more from these two authors together!

I can never resist a great contemporary sports romance, and Play Me is an absolutely fabulous one. It’s sexy, heartfelt, romantic and downright fun, and you’ll be tempted to stay up all night to read it. Kendall needs a new coach for the minor league football team that she’s just taken over managing, and she’s got her sights set on Hunter Owens. He’s sworn off coaching and stonewalls Kendall when she approaches him with a job offer, but the sassy, determined business woman pushes him to reconsider. He does but on his own terms, and they argue and grapple for control in the office as the sexual tension reaches a fever pitch. You’ll love every page of this highly entertaining, feel-good story.

How do you keep your head in the game, when your heart is on the line? Play Me has TOUCHDOWN written all over it. Elliott and Mayer are the perfect duo to pen a story of feminine empowerment. Kendall is a boss in heels. She knows what she wants and goes about making it happen. In business, she's a tiger, but what happens when a smart business decision is on the verge of costing her everything, including her heart? Play Me had me cheering for the home team.

I adored this story, so so much! Kendall and Hunter are so so good together..the spark is there right from the start, but they both have something to prove in the football field!
I love how this story has a few layers, where both characters have their own reasons and things going on, and they also have to face something together.
I love Hunter, he is such a great guy, with the biggest heart ever.
Kendall is also very lovable and she is so determined to succeed on her own two feet.
Great story!

A beautifully written and flawless collaboration by authors Kelly Elliott and Kristen Mayer!!!

I am a long time fan of author Kelly Elliott. If she writes it, I will read it! I anxiously await each and every book release. As a reader I do worry about books that are co-authored. Will it feel disjointed not cohesive? Will the reading have that effortless flow as one by a single author? Can I tell where one author ends and the other begins. This book proved the superb talents of this writing duo.

Play Me was beautifully written and flawless in its flow. Authors K. Elliott and K. Mayer did an amazing job and I look forward to future collaborations with these authors.

Kendall Wales is a strong independent woman. She wants more than anything to prove she has what it takes to be a leader in a male dominated field. She isn't afraid of hard work and will do what needs to be done to be taken seriously, especially for the good of her team. She has a big task at hand. Find a coach for her team. Not just a coach but 'the coach'.

Hunter Owens walked away from coaching long ago. Did he dominate the job, yes he did. Can he do it again, yes he can but not a snowballs chance. He won't go back His life is settled and he has nothing to prove to anyone. Never say never..... especially when it shows up at your home in Louboutin heels.

Quiet life, not for long. In walks this stubborn lady that not only sparks a fire in his ...well loins, but has the audacity to question his abilities on the field. Call him a coward. Heck nah! Kendall Wales will get the help she needs but on his terms, well bless him he is a man....let him think it's on his terms. Bless her, let her keep thinking her 'life plan' will not be altered!

What do you get when you toss in a pair of Louboutin shoes (that need to held gently..not clutched), Lysol, 80's music flashbacks, a road trip, Mike and Ikes, thin walls, and one fine tattooed sleeve.....one heck of a love story!

Oh MY WORD!!! Kelly Elliott and Kristen are fast becoming my favorite writing duo! They also gave us the story of two strong characters! I love authors that give us a strong female lead. What was the best is that we had seen this same characteristic in prior female leads in each authors books. We have the hot male lead but what I loved about Hunter is the quality added showing a male that had a compassionate side. During the course of the story be meet a young man who just like Hunter had a famous father and had too been impacted by tragedy. Unlike this young man, Hunter had a father who was quick to praise his son. That is what was beautiful about his book. We revisit the parents of Kendall and Hunter. All four characters from separate books the authors had written and see the loving and nurturing life they had shown their children. That alone was absolutely beautiful to read. Don't get me wrong Kendall and Hunter are both stubborn as mules! Love is never without twist and turns, laughs and tears.....but the reward, now that is worth it all.

I can't give more without completely telling their story. Would I recommend this book, absolutely. If you want a book that gives you steam, smiles, tears, laughs and love......read Play Me.

When I heard Kelly and Kristin were co-writing another book, I was so excited because these talented authors are two of my favorite! The special K’s are so in sync when formulating their ideas, their magic flows effortlessly together and this makes for one heck of a story!

What I particularly loved about this a story was the fact that Hunter and Kendell are children from couples who previously had their own stories. Hunter is the son of Brett and Aubrey Owens from Kelly’s The Playbook and Kendall is the daughter of Ally and Damien Wales from Kristin’s Trust Me book. When the parents were mentioned in Play Me, it brought back fond memories for me when I read about them for the first time and I remembered again just how much I enjoyed their stories!

Back to this couple.....boy were they at each other’s throats at times! But that’s what can happen when two people that are similar, driven and somewhat stubborn are near each other. Also, the fact that they both were trying to deny their feelings for one another caused some of the strife. Kendall is a self proclaimed work-a-holic who wants to prove herself worthy of managing a football team. This leaves her no time for love. After a tragic accident with one of Hunter’s NFL football players, Hunter quits coaching to run his ranch. Life for him is just as he wants it...simple. When Kendall offers Hunter a job coaching her team, his answer and stubbornness gets a rise out of her. We learn later why he was reluctant to coach again...but he does offer to be a consultant. Weeks working closely together cause both to experience feelings for each other but Kendell gets spooked and runs. She really was conflicted not knowing how to balance work, life and feelings for Hunter.

I just loved Hunter and really felt for him. He knew what he wanted in life and just let things happen. After a bit of soul searching for Kendall, she realizes even though she lives for her work, she loves Hunter more! Hunter grounded Kendall and made her take a step back and evaluate what she wanted out of life. He helped her realize that sometimes a person really can have it all!

Cheers special K’s! This was a remarkable story with all the feels I would have expected from you both! And clever use of “Play” from The Playbook and “Me” from Trust Me! You girls are good!

5 Everyone Wins Stars!!

The minute I heard that Ms. Elliott and Ms. Mayer were bringing the kids of two of my favorite book couples together in this book I literally EEEPPP’d out loud. I’ve wanted to see what these families were like since we left their worlds and both Hunter and Kendall were little bitty babies!

I can say with all honesty this book is EVERYTHING I wanted it to be. Kendall Wales is a woman that’s trying to prove to her father and his board that she’s capable of running the entire Wales empire and the first step is turning the minor league football team around and the best man for the job is Hunter Owens.

These two are literally polar opposites in everything with the exception of how they love their families. This heat between them leads to some oh so funny, sexy and laughable moments…
“She was something else. One minute I wanted to strangle her, the next I wanted to drag her into my arms and kiss her.”
As we get to know both our H/h we see so many layers of their personalities and what makes them tick and how they do their very best to not act on the mutual attraction. There were a few scenes that had me laughing out loud with the lengths that Kendall went to! And one night everything changed and from then on it was them working together to have a winning season.

There’re also some very poignant scenes that just about broke my heart. It explains so much about one of the secondary characters and all of a sudden everything made sense. I loved how Hunter and Kendall love each other. Don’t get me wrong there are some definite struggles to define their relationship. And this is where Damien and Allison and Brett and Aubrey come in and we see how they’re still so in love and want the best for their children.

And oh the scenes where music is involved had me cracking up. Let’s just say Kendall’s favorite music does not sit well with Hunter LOL

This book flowed effortlessly and at no point could I tell which author was writing which chapter. To me this speaks to how wonderful an author both Ms. Mayer and Ms. Elliott are. I’m really hoping we’re going to get more in this world because I can never have enough of this couple!

Play Me – Kelly Elliott & Kristin Mayer – Review

‘Play Me’, is a joint venture between New York Times Best Selling Author & USA Today Best Selling Author Kelly Elliott, and her dear friend and fellow author, Kristin Mayer. In this read, we see the coming together of a character from each of a respective read of theirs, Hunter Owens from Kelly’s book ‘The Playbook’, and Kendall Wales from Kristin’s book, ‘Trust Me’.

Here is where I think the title for the new book has come from, using ‘Play’ from ‘Playbook’, and ‘Me’ from ‘Trust Me’, to symbolise their co-written read. If you haven’t read either ladies’ books, I highly suggest doing so before reading this new read.

I was lucky to be one of the randomly chosen people to receive an ARC of this joint venture, so I’d like to thank both ladies for picking me. I hope this review does both of your joint hard work justice. Read on for my review and be pre-warned, spoilers are ahead for those who haven’t read the whole book outside of the synopsis/summary yet.

‘Play Me’ starts off with chapter one leading from Kendall’s POV, appalled at the discovery she has made of her football team or rather more importantly, what they’d done. Being taken on to manage the team just two short weeks prior, she has a task ahead of her to keep a bunch of men. A master task for any newbie on the job.

If you’re looking for a mix of sports, romance, sexiness and drama, then ‘Play Me’ has it in spades, with a few surprises here and there thrown in the mix for good measure. The story has been excellently blended with these two main characters from Kelly and Kristin’s previous reads, leaving you unable to put down the book or find a suitable stopping pause point. The only thing you’ll be able to do, it hit ‘Play’ until you’ve reached the very end.

I’ve been happily played, now it’s your turn. Download/buy ‘Play Me’ today, and fall in love with Kendall Wales and Hunter Owens. Even if you’re not a fan of sports, this will keep you happily entertained and on your toes until the final touchdown.

Well, that was disappointing. This one really lost steam with me.
Starting out strong, career driven Kendall knows what she wants to achieve in her life and sets out to do it all when she approaches ex-football player and coach Hunter Owens to coach the minor league team so now manages.
Despite being a bit of a Daddy's-girl, and Daddy actually funded the purchase of said team (also owns a major team and whatever the hell else) Kendall is strong and independent. Hunter is grumpy, and not interested in coaching again since the on-ground death of one of his players.
Romance novel - so of course he cannot resist the gorgeous Kendall, but still sticking to his grumpy-guns, he makes a counter offer to be a consultant for one year only.

This quickly goes to mush. These two quickly lost my respect when time and time again they come across as immature teens rather than the adults they are. His repeated ramblings about 80s music were OTT and not endearing at all. It's also so sickly sweet, corny and whatever other flavor out there that turns your lip and rolls your eyes. Could everything be any more cliched?!

Towards the end we get a completely new side story with the bratty QB - the main instigator of all the teams stupid videoed pranks (another child *eyeroll*) at it was just completely unnecessary. Although tragic AF I just didn't care and it just wasn't necessary.

The male narration wore thin with me, his overly emotional portrayal just made Hunter seem even more immature.

I'll leave you with this gem - let me set the scene. It's their wedding day (now night), he's frantically attempting to remove her dress with the million buttons...

"that bastard was trying to cock-block me on my wedding night"... he's referring to her father! Yep, eew!

AND this book just felt like it was never going to end!!! OMG!! Honestly, I stopped listening around the wedding although I could still hear the book in my ear, I didn't absorb much past that point.

I recently found Kelly Elliott’s books and devoured her Cowboys and Angels series, so when I saw the opportunity to read and review a new book she had co-written with Kristin Mayer I jumped.
Kendall Wales new job running a minor league football team is almost cursed from the beginning. The team is continuously into trouble causing a PR nightmare. Kendall is trying to prove to her father, who also happens to be her boss, that she is capable of turning this team around fires the teams incompetent head coach. This action sends Kendall to a secluded ranch in Tennessee to offer the coaching job to an ex-NFL player and coach who just disappeared from the game.
Enter Hunter Owens, sexy, tattooed, cowboy alpha male extraordinaire. It has been a year since Hunter has left the NFL after a tragic accident. He has no interest getting back into coaching, but when sultry, stubborn, infuriating Kendall Wales challenges him, he can’t get her out of his mind. The two come to a compromise that has them heating things up on and off the field.
I love a strong female heroine, but even more when she’s vulnerable, and the author isn’t afraid to write her that way. Kelly and Kristin do a great job of making Kendall a strong female and bringing all the insecurities that can plague working woman. Hunter has this playful personality that makes you fall instantly in love with him. And even though he’s lost his way he’s still not afraid to be open to the idea of love.
Play Me is a push and pull of two people who can’t decide if they want to rip each other apart or rip their clothes off. Filled with humor, chemistry, self-discovery, and all the feels. Kelly and Kristin delivered on everything I wanted from a sports romance and then some.

4.5 stars *****

I am a huge fan of Kelly Elliott and love everything she writes. Kristin Mayer is a new author to me but if this collaboration is a show of her writing she now has a new fan. These two brilliant authors together have delivered a flawless, addictive, gripping read.

I started this in the morning and had no intention of going anywhere until I had finished it (which made me glad to have a quiet morning for once).

The chemistry between Kendall and Hunter was palpable and explosive from the second they met. The banter, wit and interactions was gripping and entertaining.

Kendall is a strong, independent women who has to be tough to make it as General Manager for a football team. She has to prove that she can handle working in a man's world and prove that she has her job through hard work and not because of daddy. I loved her kick-ass attitude especially when she goes in all guns blazing and sacks the coach and some players. (queue annoying song …..he he he)

Hunter, a former Football coach, brought out of retirement by the irresistible Kendall, the hell-in-heels turns up at his ranch and makes him an offer he can't refuse. Now its just a matter of time until these two give into their attraction.

Only criticism I have of this book is that this clever duo made a song stick in my head for the WHOLE weekend!! I wouldn't normally mind but its an annoying one that you can't help go around singing and my family thought I had lost my marbles!

Play Me is an easy book to read, its sweet, swoon-worthy and steamy. A definite MUST READ. I can't wait to read their next collaboration.

I freaking LOVED EVERYthing in, about, and around this book!! I was hooked from the very first page.
Kendall Wales is definitely one kick butt chick!!! She is what every woman strives to be. Successful, competent, real, knows what she wants out of life, and goes after it. And she wants, needs Hunter Owens!! She needs to show her father’s board of directors she can turn this football team around, and turn it into the team they CAN be, rather than the laughing stock of the league. And, Kendall knows that Hunter Owens can do that!!
Hunter Owens was one of the best football players through high school, college, and the NFL as well. Following in his father’s equally great footsteps, he goes into coaching. Hunter’s skills on the football field lead him to be one of the best coaches as well, until tragedy strikes, and he leaves football behind for good. Then Kendall Wales knocks on his door…
OMG, the chemistry between these two… OH! MY!!! Get that fan out ladies. These two were definitely made for each other. The way they supported the other, SIGH!!!
I loved all the characters, well almost all, I really hated a couple, but is that not an indicator of well written book? I really liked the way that both Kendall’s and Hunter’s parents supported and encouraged their children. I loved the way Kendall gave Hunter back his love of football.
In my honest opinion, this was a very well written book! I could not put it down once I started reading. Kudos Kristin Mayer, and Kelly Elliott, you have a smash hit in my humble opinion!!!

Thank you for reading my review. Soooo Ladies, what are you waiting for!?!? Go hit that purchase button. Happy reading!!

I'm a long time fan of Kelly Elliott, but this was my first time reading anything by Kristin Mayer, but I have to say that I loved this collaboration by these two authors.

Both Kendall Wales and Hunter Owens are at different points in their respective professional lives: Kendall is working towards being able to become the CEO of her father's corporation, but has to prove herself to the Board by making the minor league football team into a champion team, and she's got her work more than cut out for her. Good heavens, the team players behave more like 7th graders than grown men, but there's a reason why they behave the way they do.

Hunter was a college football coach at the top of his game when a tragic incident shook him enough that he walked away from coaching and football altogether. He may think he's not going to coach again, but something about the connection he has with Kendall has him rethinking his plans.

I loved seeing the evolution of the relationship between Hunter and Kendall, and I liked how they managed to work through the couple of bumps they experienced while trying to figure out what's happening between them and how to make it work. As for the professional side, with all the shenanigans of the team players, learning the truth about what happened with the main instigator just about broke my heart.

We also got a chance to see all the parental units (Damien and Allison, Brett and Aubrey), and I thought it was great to see them (at least the Owens, since I've not read the Wales' story).

Kelly Elliot and Kristin Mayer had a book baby, and it’s touchdown+field goal AMAZING!!!!!

Hunter and Kendall have such amazing chemistry. This book has everything and more in it. From the fun banter, the undeniable chemistry, the sweetness, the hilarity and giggles it will give you, the steaminess it brings, I LOVED IT!!

Kendall is the general manager for a failing minor league football team, she is kick ass at what she does, but she needs to turn the franchise around. She isn’t playing around. Kendall is such a badass in this book! I was fist pumping at all of her kick butt moments! Hell yeah✊🏽🙌🏽👏🏽. While there are financial issues, there is also football players acting like bad teenagers, she needs help from the elusive guy, who disappeared years ago from the football life, ex NFL coach, Hunter Owens.

There are sooo many scenes that made me laugh out loud! From the Lysol, to the Mike & Ikes!!!!! I’m giggling just thinking about it. They are hilarious. One click this book, these two authors wrote an amazing book I couldn’t put down, it left me with a BIG smile on my face.😃😍. I read alot of sports romance, and this will definitely go into the favorites list! I need more from these two authors!!!! 😍😍
