A quick read, this book focuses not on long-term planning, but on creating short-term gains to encourage staff to work toward those long-term plans. A team that never has any wins loses motivation to work toward larger goals, so those short-term wins are critical to long-term success. This book had some good, concrete steps to take and some solid advice, but then the middle section turns into an advertisement for the work of another author touting PLCs. All-in-all, a good practical book, but it loses its focus at that point and became a bit irrelevant to the small, rural setting in which I work.
