“Assassin Levi Agozi has lived a brutal life, but at his core is a man of strength and honor—my favorite kind of hero. I have added a new autobuy author to my list and her name is Ella Sheridan!” –Lara Adrian, NYT Best-selling Author
I killed my first man at the age of twelve. I've been killing ever since. I thought it was all I lived for…until Abby. Until the woman I'd kidnapped became the woman I couldn't walk away from.
She owns a piece of me I wouldn't take back, but the rest? The only way to protect her is to hold back the parts inside me that are too ugly to ever reveal. I'll keep her safe, even from me.
And it works. We have the nights, and I hunt my way through the days. Alone.
Until an attack reveals a threat we didn't see coming. One that could take away the dream I didn't realize I had.
Everything. With her.
I'm on the hunt of my life. My prey might run, but in this fight—for her, for us—they don't stand a chance.

This was kind of a 🅦🅔🅘🅡🅓 book for me. 👀 I ᴇɴᴊᴏʏᴇᴅ it. 👍 It was a relatively 𝓺𝓾𝓲𝓬𝓴 read. 👍 The ₱ⱠØ₮ kept me engaged. 👍 I enjoyed the 🅲🅷🅰🆁🅰🅲🆃🅴🆁🆂 (especially the brothers). 🙌 The sex was hot. 🔥 There was no 🅞🅦 or 🅞🅜 drama. 😁 And it was all աʀǟքքɛɖ up in an OK 🅗🅐🅟🅟🅨 🅕🅞🅡 🅝🅞🅦. 🎀
All those things 𝓼𝓱𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭 have made this one a slam dunk. 🏀 Yet as I read the last 🅿🅰🅶🅴🆂 I couldn't help thinking..."what was the point❓" I was expecting a lot more ₳₦₲₴₮ between this couple. 🙈 There was barely any. 👀 Instead we get a whole new "вαddíє" situation. 💃 Which again, I didn't 🅗🅐🅣🅔...I just felt that maybe the first ҍօօƘ could have been longer and 🅰🅱🅱🆈 and 🅻🅴🆅🅸'🆂 relationship 𝓭𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓭𝓾𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓭 in that one. 🙏
Aɳყɯαყ, it wasn't a bad book. 😍 I enjoyed it enough that I will most 🅻🅸🅺🅴🅻🆈 check out the next one in the series. 👍
Assassin's Prey is the final conclusion of Levi and Abby. Miss Sheridan done the story justice. I like the story is short and pack with everything to make the story alive. The chemistry, the plot, the length of the book are just right.
Although I want a longer ending. The ending seems rushed. I want a farther epilogue. I want to see the glimpse of Levi and Abby's future together. The POV is from Levi's. I can feel all the emotion he went through especially regarding his feeling toward Abby.
I couldn’t wait to dive back into Levi and Abby’s story! If you haven’t read this series before there is a prequel and a previous story to catch up on and you will want to do that because you don’t want to miss one minute of the tension-filled buildup….
Abby was gentle and soft, even though she had been through he**. And things weren’t even close to being over. Levi didn’t remember a time when his focus wasn’t his brothers and his quest for revenge. While that hadn’t changed, Abby brought something to his life he never thought he’d have. Weakness.
Abby and Levi were still working out their relationship but continued to do it under a deadly threat. Where and when the blasts came were the only things they couldn’t be certain of but they knew they were coming. Those moments, they were chilling and a perfect foil to the surprisingly sweet yet super-hot courtship that couldn’t be derailed. The buildup continued to a fever pitch that promised everything and more than delivered. My heart took a beating but taking a break – stop reading?? - was never an option.
I started this story and didn’t come up for air once. There were more twists and the story grew more complex. These characters were easy to get invested in and fall in love I did. To say what happened to them became personal was an understatement as I was on my toes the whole time. When closure came it was bittersweet (and a relief!).
I am thrilled that there will be more as Remi’s story is far from over. I can wait a month… Maybe… ~Diane, 5 stars
Right when you think Abby & Levi are all set towards their happy ending old ghosts come back looking for what they think is owed to them and Levi will stop at nothing to keep Abby safe.
Action packed and full of heart stopping moments Assassin's Prey is the story of the lengths one man will go to save the woman he loves. Levi might not know what love is or how to show it, but he knows that keeping Abby safe is his only priority in this life. With a threat that he can't see coming he is pulling out all the stops and with his brothers by his side they know they can eliminate the threat before it hurts someone else, he cares for.
While this might be a continuation from book one, this story holds true all on its own. You will need to read book one before you can get to this book because the story won't make much sense if you don't.
Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke of course killed this narration! I loved being able to hear the heartache in Jason's narration for Levi when he thought all hope was lost. It really shows the true testament to a narrator when they can draw emotions out of the listener.
Ella Sheridan is just one of those authors that will captivate you and slay you all in the same sentence and The Assassin's Duet was no different. I never wanted this story to end but now that it has, I am on the hunt to see if Levi's brothers have books because they were just as enticing as Levi was and I am not ready to say goodbye to this world yet!!
I killed my first man at the age of twelve. I've been killing ever since. I thought it was all I lived for…until Abby. Until the woman I'd kidnapped became the woman I couldn't walk away from. Book 2 in this series was just as explosive as the first book, the story line was so addictive, an action packed romance full of twists with characters that are lovable and have so much chemistry that the sex is steaming hot. I love every page of this book and now I am going for book 3.
This is the third book in the series and I do recommend reading in them order. Abby and Levi’s story continues with loads of twists and turns. Can he keep Abby save and stop those who are a threat against him? Lots of drama, suspense and steamy chemistry. I loved it!
ALC received from Audibly Addicted for an honest review
After listening to Assassin's Mark, I was glad I could dive right into Assassin's Prey as I needed to know where Levi and Abby's story was going.
I liked this one so much more than the first part. We are a while down the track from the events of the first book, however there is still so much happening that affects our lovelies.
It is full of suspense and WTH moments. I meanreal, WTH moments. I was listening and was absolutely blown away at times.
Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke did this book absolute justice. I felt like I was with them as events unfolded.
I am looking forward to reading/listening to the other brothers stories in the future.
I was so glad to see this book on my kindle last night that after reading a few hours I was 75% into it and didn't want to stop reading because I needed to know what was going to happen next. This is a continuation of Levi and Abby's story and it is filled with suspense and a love that may just end them both. We find that someone is after Abby or so they think but it could be they are after Levi and his brothers. But who could it be and why? While Abby doesn't want to give up her life, she also doesn't want to give up Levi but he has to give her something besides heartache. Can Levi find what he has been missing all his life in Abby? Will they discover who is after them and why? I am not going to give you any more because I am not going to spoil any of the stories for you. I will say to please read the novella and book 1 before you read this one, please. You do not want to miss anything between Levi, Abby and his brothers. Oh and please have tissues handy because you will need them too. This story is filled with suspense, the fire between Levi and Abby that almost sets the pages on fire and parts that will have you laughing and crying. I love Ella Sheridan and her writing style, she is an automatic author for me and I hope you give this series a chance and you love it too. **I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
"Assassin's Prey" was told from Levi's POV and I enjoyed that because you really got to see what made Levi tick. He was dark, growly and very dominant but with good reasons and if you messed with his brothers or Abby (the only person that kept him grounded )... well their days were numbered!
As book 2 started, its a fast-paced set-up again in the works and Levi was BOSS whether Abby liked it or not! I admired Abby's independence but still commanding Levi and his brothers were always there to keep her safe regardless!
This story kept me at the very edge of my seat with many thumb biting twists and turns, smexy times, suspenseful revelations and even some comedic relief but what a satisfying HFN ending!
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Second Book in the series is The Assassin Prey is the continuation of the Levi and Abby story where they try to mend their relationship. There are many problems in their relationship which they need to work but there is also the new threats and new people in their life which are after the lives of not only Abby and Levi but also Eli and Remi as well.
This book started with a very interesting plot where Abby and Levi find that there are more threats in their lives and somebody tried to kill Abby but the truth was something else. The story is related to Levi's Parent but obviously, he and his brothers were not aware of anything why something related to their parents is a taking their lives.
I liked this book a lot more than the second part of the series. The action written in this book is way too better than the second part and I love the storyline. I never felt that I am getting bored with this book. This book is amazingly written, simply LOVED it!
I love the other books in the Assassin's series and was happy to get more from Levi and Abby especially with how unfinished the other book seemed. This almost seems more like the 2nd part of a Duet in which the books combined truly make up a single thought. This is definitely NOT a standalone, you NEED to read the other books to know what in the freaking world is going on right now and really know why the characters feel the way that they do.
Now, if you go into this book feeling as if it is the 2nd part of a Duet you are going to freaking love it because at the end of it you have a resolution of where the characters stand even though it is opening up and introducing the next book in the series. I absolutely loved getting more of Levi and Abby and their freaking chemistry is off the charts, but just sex alone is not going to carry a relationship and with all of the baddies out there out to get them way too much is at stake for them not to figure out where to go from here.
All in all, great read Ella! I enjoyed diving back into this world and getting to know my favorite assassins even more. There were also some really cool twists in this and I liked delving more into what makes Levi him and what makes Abby her- I totally recommend it!
PS: Thanks to Ella Sheridan and Give Me Books PR for allowing me an ARC so I can read and review honestly!
Once again Levi and Abby pulled me into the story. The action and pace of the story was fast and kept me interested all the way through the story. I like this world and the sex is scorching hot between this couple. I hope the other brothers get a story.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
I started reading this book as soon as I had finished the first book! I liked the first book and was excited to see what was going to happen next for the characters! The synopsis of this book also sounded amazing and very intriguing! After reading this book, I can say that I enjoyed it more than the first book! I felt like the characters relationship was more developed and I enjoyed the plot more! There was also plenty of romance in this book, which allowed for quite a few seriously hot scenes! There was a bit more action and suspense in this book too and it all added a lot to the plot and kept me hooked and wanting to find out what was going to happen next! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place for the characters and I loved it! The characters were again amazing and made this book even better! Levi was the main character, and he was a secondary character in the first book, but the main character in the novella that starts this series off! I felt like I got to know Levi more in this book and understand why he didn't want to give his old life up! It was also easy to see how much Levi loved his love interest and he just wanted to keep her safe in his dangerous world! I also admired Levi a lot and his love interest taught him a lot! Abigail 'Abby' was the love interest of Levi! I felt for Abby in the first book because she did go through a lot and learned a lot about her life, but she still tried to keep her head up and deal with it all! I loved Abby even more a lot in this book! She stood up for herself, especially when it came to Levi, and she had grown a lot since the first book! Abby was again in danger in this book, but she was involved in how to stop it and impressed me! This book was only written from Levi’s point of view! I was expecting this in a way because the synopsis gives the impression that it's going to be! The synopsis for the first book also gave the impression that it was only going to be written from Abby's point of view and it was, so I hknew tht this book was only going to be written from Levi’s point of view! I enjoyed this book being written this way and I was still able to connect with Abby and the other characters! It helped me learn more about Levi as well and know more about his background! I now can’t want to read the next book in this series, which I think might be the final book! I know that it's going to focus on secondary characters from the first two books and their story started in the first book, so I'm excited to see what's going to happen in it and getting to know more about the characters! I really hope that the next book is written from dual point of view, but I'm not sure if it will be! I’m really happy that the next book has already released because it means that I can make it my next read, which I’ll be doing because I can't wait to read it! I also love the cover for this book a lot! The cover matches the cover for the first book as well and the cover image is again perfect for Levi and Abby! I love that it has the same cover models on it as well!
This book is in a series and should be read in order to understand some of the characters and past events. Levi Agozi is an assassin as well as his two younger brothers, Eli and Remi. They do what they can to protect the lives of innocent people but they sometimes find themselves in trouble due to their occupation. Levi is in a “relationship” with Abby Roslyn after he saved her life yet Levi can only giver her so much as he doesn’t want Abby to be involved with his occupation. Abby Roslyn was almost killed by her father Councilman Roslyn but now she is ready to go on with her life and follow her own goals but when another attempt is made on her life, Levi is not ready to let her go. Yet soon Levi, his brothers and Abby discover that not everything is as it seems and they have been looking at everything wrong. When Detective Bryant from Levi’s past starts digging he realizes that there are links to the past and he himself is getting to close to the truth. Can they find all the links before it’s too late? This is another exciting book in the series. It had action from start to finish and great twists and turns to make you wonder what was going to happen next! I really liked Levi and how he struggled with his relationship with Abby. He cared so much about her and didn’t want to let her go yet at the same time he didn’t want her mixed up with his life and the dangers that came with it. As funny as it sounds he was an assassin for the right reasons and he didn’t have an easy go growing up and did what he had to in order to survive and raise his brothers after the death of his parents. I liked Abby and her strong nature. She knew she needed more than what Levi was able to give her but she didn’t want to let go of him at the same time. She also knew that she was good for Levi if he allowed himself to open up to her and let her make her own decisions about her future. Although Levi was worried about meeting Detective Bryant, I liked the link he was able to make and how he truly came through for Levi and his brothers. This definitely changed the pace of the book and opened up so many more possibilities. I loved Abby’s plan and how that helped Levi’s chances, but it also showed the ability of Warren Redding to get what he wanted. The huge twist near the end left me wondering if what happened really happened as it almost seemed not calculated enough for Redding. I was glad I was right!! The end was great and I was super happy that Levi realized what he needed in his life and that Abby was right for him! My only complaint in this book is that we didn’t get to see Abigail at all. 4.5 Stars By Rebecca
4.5 stars Ella Sheridan is fast becoming a one-click author for me. I fell in love with both Levi and Abby in Assassin’s Mark and I am thrilled that their story continues in Assassin’s Prey. This romantic suspense is sure to keep you on your toes as it is full intrigue, action, and some scorching chemistry between our favorite assassin and the ever fiesty Abby.
Levi remains a strong alpha hero who is “the assassin, the lover, the brother” that I loved in the previous book.. He is possessive of Abby, but he fears that he will destroy her. I admire how loyal and protective he is towards Abby and towards his younger brothers. Abby remains a strong heroine who is definitely no doormat. I feel for her because her life is turned upside down with all that goes on in the book and also because Levi doesn’t always give all of himself to her. Nonetheless, her love for him never waivers. These two make such a great couple.
Assassin’s Prey is told entirely from Levi’s POV and I do wish that there were a few chapters from Abby’s as I would love to get into her head. I loved reading more about Eli and Remi and I hope that these two sexy, complex characters get their own books. This book has an engaging plot and moves at a great pace. There is the mystery of who is after them and why and it was entertaining to see how it all was revealed. There were moments when I gasped and struggled not to throw my kindle and other moments where I thought my kindle would spontaneously combust from the hot scenes between Levi and Abby. Overall, I really enjoyed this romantic suspense. There is a HEA with no cheating and no cliffhanger. I received Assassin’s Prey for free and I am really looking forward to reading more works by this author.

“Ella Sheridan is back with a marvelous continue of the Assassin’s Series.
Assassin’s Prey is book number two in the series, I recommend you to read the previous books (Assassin’s Mark book 1 and the 0.5 novella The Assassin) in order to experience the whole magnificence of this story.
We are back in this romantic, suspenseful and intrigue action packed story. Ella writing abilities amazed me. Once I start reading I couldn’t put it down until I reached the very last page. A story that will keep you on the edge. What a fascinating plot.
Levi and Abby are back again in Assassin’s Prey.
He still is a tough and possessive man. The ultimate man. The lover and protector. The caring brother. Loyal is what best describes him. I fall head over heels in love with him since the previous book but now he completely owns my heart. What a seducing man. The whole book is narrated from his POV and he’s such a fascinating man. A hot and sexy twisted man.
The sweetest Abby. Don’t get fool, she’s a very strong woman. Her life is like a huge U-turn yet she refuse to stay on the shadows. She's a fighter that’s more than ready to battle.
They’re so different yet so perfect to each other. They’re the definition of a match made in heaven. Their chemistry was off limits but their connection was so authentic, hard but realistic. A combination of darkness and sexiness.
A so well written story. The characters were so reliable. The love, the angst, the attacks… a traitor?
I highly recommend you this series, it’s a must read.”
My...My...My...I want more..more..more..of this amazing couple that had me glued to the pages, with an ice cold drink beside me to cool me down during the hot and steamy scenes and needing a new set of nails after the nail biting suspense and action throughout the book. Once again Abby is front and center in Levi’s world with more danger that seems to follow them after a year apart. Levi not wanting to stay away from Abby renters her life when she has settled down, not being able to stay away and let her go for good. Abby welcomes him back after a brief standoff and they continue their intense need for each other. But all is not shiny and smelling of roses as they resume their relationship...their relationship is not that of a normal couple and their lives are threatened...but the real mystery is, is it because of Levi or Abby’s past that has them hiding out once more. An AMAZING read that had me on the edge of the seats with a story that had me wanting more more more of this couple and of course the other steamy brothers. Levi was still as intense and mysterious but his vulnerability and love towards Abby, shone throughout. Abby, was a strong and resilient woman who couldn’t resist Levi, no matter the cost. The story flowed beautifully, all the characters were spot on, the steam was oh my steamy, the suspense/action was nail biting and the twists kept coming...can’t wait for the next one!!!! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
I want to start out by saying that Assassin's Prey is the second book in Levi & Abby's story, so there's no way around it, YOU MUST READ Assassin's Mark (Book 1) & really should read the novella before both, The Assassin (Book 0.5). Levi can't stay away from his Abby after everything they already went through, even though she's put together a life again, but he's upsetting her with the way he comes & goes, without really committing to her. Levi looks at it like she's safer that way, so there's already some drama & angst going when crap hits the fan. There's a new enemy trying to take out Levi, his brothers, & Abby, and they don't have a clue as to who it is this time, because let's face it, Levi has a lot of enemies. So obviously, the brilliant Ella Sheridan has the twists going quickly, along with tons action out of the gate as well. I was, once again, dropping f-bombs like crazy as I went along, especially when a HUGE one came up leading up to the finale. This book is told from Levi's POV, so it was interesting to get his whole inner monologue, although, I would have loved to hear Abby's inner thoughts as well. Anyway, I'm completely addicted to the Assassins series, and CANNOT wait for the next book! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Whoa! I was a bit up in the air with this series after reading the first book but Assassin's Prey was addictive. It was still dark and sexy and dangerous but there was more depth to it.
Yes, there was still the back and forth and lack of communication between Abby and Levi. But there was an understanding too. It was hard for Levi to let Abby in. Never before in his life had he let anyone in. It was him and his brothers against the world. But when his world puts Abby at risk, all bets are off.
It didn't take the Agozi brother's long to figure out who was behind all the mayhem. And then it was a race against time to put an end to the threat before it took them out. Even when Abby resisted his measures at every turn, Levi did his best to make her see that her safety was his priority.
Ella Sheridan delivered a pulse pounding, non-stop, danger ride with more than one curve in the ride. In a battle of assassins and a struggle for power and money, Abby was what kept Levi grounded. Was there a lot of sex? Yep- maybe even too much. I wanted more communication between Levi and Abby. While I found some things predictable, especially the twist towards the end, I still had to know what would happen next.
Assassin's Prey is the second book in the Assassins series by Ella Sheridan. The story is not totally stand-alone since it features the couple from the first book. This time the story is told from Levi's point of view just as Assassin's Mark's was told only in Abby's point of view. I have to say, that I liked this book more than the previous and it almost made me wanna read the next book which will feature a different couple this time, one of Levi's brothers and Leah. What's holding me back, is the lack of romance and a proper development in Abby and Levi's relationship. Levi changed his mind about their relationship too abruptly and just at the moment, the plot needed him to. If this book wasn't listed as romance and it was just suspense I would have been more ok since the romance would have been even less than a secondary plot. But the romance is lacking. There is no communication and I didn't believe that Levi could be what Abby wanted. And speaking of what Abby wanted/needed, I would have liked to have someone with a little more spine and sense of self-worth. Every time she brought up the relationship subject, Levi would distract her with his powers in the bed and I wanted more for the heroine.
My socks are officially knocked off. I have fallen even harder for Levi, if that's even possible. Levi, Abby and Levi's brothers are faced with their worst nightmare. Levi faces his worst adversary yet, but the kicker is he does not know who it is for sure. He is at his wits end. Always the protector Levi is having to face his fears of something happening to his Little Bird.
In this story Levi comes to terms with his true feelings for Abby. Abby herself is no shrinking violet. She is a fighter and does not want to stand in the shadows. She wants to be by Levi's side the whole nine yards. The two of them together are a force to be reckoned with. There were a few scenes in this book that had me close to tossing my kindle across the room. The suspense made me jittery and anxious, but in a good way.
What remained steadfast was Abby and Levi together with their feelings for each other. The hot sexy scenes between them had my fingers singed from swiping my kindle at hyper speed. I loved that Ella Sheridan wrote this in Levi's POV. I really wanted to know what thoughts rattled around in his head.
Oh my word, I was happy with the HFN we had at the end of Assassin's Mark, but this book vaults the entire story to the next level! We pick up where we left off, with Levi unable to stay away from Abby so he gives everything he can to their relationship. Their peace is shattered when a new threat arises, and the shocking twist about where that threat originates was completely unexpected!
The action barely lets up enough for the characters to catch their collective breaths and address the dysfunctional aspects of their relationship as the threat is uncovered layer by layer, secret by secret. We get more backstory than I ever suspected from the first two books, though I guess I should have seen it coming. The emotions are running dangerously hot, resulting in a cathartic release that changes everything.
Abby really shines in this story as she reaches deep into Levi's heart to own every fiber of his being. Remi and Eli aren't mere bystanding relatives; they're written with the same level of heightened awareness and emotional depth, holding promise that the author will feature them in future books. The HEA is so much more solid than I dared to dream for these two, making this a must-read book in this amazing series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Our hero will do anything to protect her, even as she insists on being part of the plan.
This is book three in the series and I recommend that they be read in order so that you understand the background. It will still make sense if you start here, but you won't get the full experience.
I am a sucker for the spy and assassin genre, so this book intrigued me from the start and I am pleased to say that it did not disappoint. The story is very well written with an intense plot filled with intrigue, suspense and not a little bit of romance as well. There are twists and turns along the way that keep you reeling and engaged, always wanting to know what comes next.
The story is supported by a cast of well developed and strong characters which bring the story to life. The heroine is still my favorite characters, but I have come to appreciate the brothers as well. Overall, this was a highly enjoyable read and I look forward to the next book in the saga.
Highly recommended.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.
What a way to end this story! It’s been a wild ride and I loved the twist and turns that were added to this story.
The story picks up right where it left off as Abby navigates through her life that is a complete 180 from what it used to be. Levi is still battling demons from his past and he does everything he can to protect Abby from it.
I loved how much Levi and Abby evolved in this story. It went from captor/captive to two people who found each other when they needed each other the most. The chemistry between the two intensified and was so perfect for this story. The tension and build-up to everything kept me on the edge of my seat as I listened to Levi and Abby workout who was coming after them. The ending was perfect and I can’t wait for the audio of the next book.
Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke narrated in duet and did an amazing job bringing Abby and Levi to life. Stella is always passionate in her performances and brings each character’s personality to life. Jason is always great as the gruffy anti-hero and I loved having him in my ears as Levi.
