THE FINAL HOUR Naoto, Marie, and the crew are tangled up in the politics of the ruthless, violent city of Shangri-La. But when Second Upsilon gets down to business, they realize what’s more important than turf wars and governments: Doing whatever they want! The two young geniuses and their mechanical comrades stir up wild mayhem and just might save the whole world while they’re at it, too! FINAL VOLUME!
The series comes to an end with this volume. Most of the major plot lines are resolved, however, the identity of Omega is left hanging and the team do not have a final confrontation against him.
For the most part this was a strong resolution and even had some humour. The strength of the series was the steampunk concept and the detailed art that portrayed the Clockwork Planet. The weakness was all the adolescent fan service with bouncing boobs and ass crack shots. I cold have done without all of that.
Clockwork Planet is a good manga for anyone interested in steampunk.
I'm kinda disappointed that the manga left off here. The plot line obviously continues, and from what I can tell the manga only covered maybe three of the light novels. I hope that at some point in the future this manga adaption will be picked up again and continued. Until then I'll just have to be content with the light novels.
