This was such a gooooood story.....it also made me laugh! I Loved the back and forth banter between Zambezi and his brother Babe (I think that's his name)....The dynamic between Shore and her fairy sister (once she started to understand her power) was really cute. Although, I really didn't understand Lake's behavior, and I guessing that will be addressed in the next book along with Zambezi & Babe father's behavior and decision take Babe from his mother Jewell.....there are a few other things....The narrations was really great, especially Sean Crisden, he is always an amazing narrator that really brings any story to life...I'm excited for the next installment of this story.
I’ve ready about vampire peen, then there was ghost peen and even werewolf peen. Now I get to indulge in underwater dragon creature peen! Whew 😅 I’m intrigued 😂… I really enjoyed the way Zambezi and Shore’s relationship developed! There are so many questions that need answers and I’m ready to dive into book two!
One of the BEST paranormal novels I have read thus far. I swear from the beginning to end as I was reading I could picture and have visions of everything I was reading like I was watching a movie. Who would have thought Laguna was still alive and now she about to create more damage then what Adwoah had. Why I feel like Lake the reef sister have a thing for Zambezi that's why she always have an attitude. Now I'm sitting here just imagining how powerful would Zambezi and Shore child would be if they had one, crazy right. I surely can't wait for part 2 to see what drama and dilemma unfolds. Phenomenal read GREAT WORK!!!
*audiobook* the narrators did an outstanding job bringing this story to life- you couldn’t tell me it wasn’t a full cast. I liked the story as a whole, there’s a lot of characters and secrets uncovered in the story. I am eager to listen to the second book.
Okay to follow but it's still reading like a first try…. Weird and choppy for most of the read. The author struggled getting this to flow together for me. I thought this would've been better seeing this isn't the first paranormal read the author has but it was still the same. Okay to follow but it's still reading like a first try. 7/10/2019 14:19
There are a lot of twists and turns and it moves kind of slow but it’s definitely interesting. You have a lot Princess who doesn’t know who she is or her power. She’s meets a “lost” a Prince who is tethered to her from birth unbeknownst to them. Now, they have to figure out how to defeat an enroll that wants to rule with fear.
Idk where to begin! Natavia is a beast with the pen. This story displayed her multi-dimensions and her natural ability to write! I loved Shore and The Fairies!!! They were all so different, and they stuck together. Bay and Zam were true alpha males, but their father really rubbed me the wrong way. He had me wishing he’d die lol Overall, this was by far one of the best paranormal reads I’ve read in awhile! I thoroughly loved the back story of each character and the pure originality. If I could give this book 10 stars I would!!!!!! Pleaseeeee hurry with part 2. ❤️❤️
Ohh, I loved this and can’t wait for part 2! My first read by this author and man am I intrigued! Shore and Zambezi got my heart. Lol. The reef sisters were everything and then some. I’m so surprised by a lot that’s going on, but man did this story keep me interested. 💙
I enjoyed reading this book. I love paranormal books and thud II s my second read by Natavia. This book was a pick by my book club so I can't wait to discuss this book.
It was a cute little story about water people.. the sex scenes were very passionate!!! I hope Shore and all her reef sisters work out the jealousy issues... the end turned me off! I feel like we spent the entire book waiting for a big battle and then the dad guy gets his strength and then comes and kills her immediately. Lame! It’s the reason I only gave 3 stars. I was hoping for some huge drawn out battle, but nope! It ended in just a few paragraphs. Other than that it was a quick read ... felt a bit drawn out, especially when you get to the end and it just ENDS... I understand not knowing if Shore is pregnant and other cliffhangers since there will be a finale, but I honestly don’t think I’ll be anxious to find and read it...
It was a good book, but it could have been better :)
This is a great book. I love urban paranormal fiction books. This one was about water fairies, water dragons, and sea demons. I’m going right into the finale, I’ve been waiting to read it for a while.
This book was very rushed and some parts felt like it was missing. One moment they would be fussing then another scene with them going to the market would appear I’m like what?? Then Shore would be talking in one chapter and by the end Zambezi would be talking at the end of her chapter confusing me more. This wasn’t her best and idk if I’ll read the finale. The errors were throughout the book also.
I don’t know about this one . At times I felt like I couldn’t put it down ,than other times it didn’t work for me . I don’t know if I will read part 2 .. undecided 🤷🏽♀️
Water Fairies. Sea Dragons. Ocean Demons?! Yeah… this book SNAPPED.
OBSESSED.
Let’s talk characters: Zambezi? A walking tidal wave. Shore? Smooth, savage, and secretly sweet. Giva? Stop playin with her. And Reef? My fairy sis forever—period. Oceana? Glad to see her gettin' back to herself. But Laguna? Girl, the second she popped up, I knew she was bringing problems. Salty, sneaky, jealous... the entire villain starter pack. And now she's back from the dead?! Oh, we’re in for a storm.
I swear I wasn't just reading—I was VISUALLY living it. Every chapter played like a high-budget fantasy film in my head. I could smell the saltwater, feel the tension, and hear the wings fluttering mid-battle. Movie-level scenes, no exaggeration.
Now let’s get messy: Why do I feel like Lake is lowkey in her feelings about Zambezi? Always mad, always pressed… sis, just say you want him! And don’t get me started on my random thought: What if Shore and Zambezi had a baby?! That child would literally shift the oceans. Somebody write that spinoff NOW.
The backstories? Chef’s kiss. The originality? UNMATCHED. The plot twists? Came out of nowhere and slapped me every time.
Also… Bay and Zam = top-tier alpha energy. But their dad? Trash. Big trash. I was praying on his downfall by Chapter 5.
Bottom line? This book was a whole experience. Gritty, magical, dramatic as hell—and I ate up every second. If I could rate it 20 stars, I would, and then demand a TV deal.
I gotta get into part two soon. I need more smoke, more secrets, and way more fairie mayhem. Let’s GO!
You goo Natavia!! When Shore and her mom lose their apt and move into a cabin that has the most beautiful lake behind it Shores life changes forever! It’s a tough road, she meets Zambezi and his brother Bay. Shore has severe epilepsy so when she’s hearing voices, blanking out she’s confused. There’s history, family and secrets are going to slowly fall out the closet and the enemies who want Shore and Zambezi’s relationship not to happen. Shore’s mom has some alcoholic issues, secrets and demons she will have to face. In the meantime Shore is falling deeper and deeper for Zambezi. His stepmom Adwoa is secretly forming an alliance with the townspeople but her check will not cash. Her passion for getting rid of Shore and mating with her husbands son is just one of her attempts. When Shore finally realizes who she is, her man is and her friends nothing will stop them. Momma finally returns after her month hiatus with a fire to attitude and protection of her daughter. Water fairies, dragons ad demons will evade your mind and I loved every minute of it. Part 2 soon!!!!
This author came as a recommendation. She has a library full of books. So, I'm not sure what drew me in to select this book in particular. It's a paranormal romance. And it was entertaining from beginning to end. It even had a comical twist to it.
So, this story begins with a ship full of slaves(who become basically the ancestors), but don't let that throw you off it ventures into present day with the MC (Shore). Shore was this homebound teen who suffered from seizures and a mother who kissed the bottle quite frequently. One night her mom comes home and drops the bomb that they must pack up because she doesn't have any money for rent. They find themselves settling in Oland in an abandon cabin that doesn't have electricity nor water. There in Oland things begin to reveal themselves and Shore discovers things aren't as they seem (not even her mother and she).
This is a magical story. Quite lengthy. It suppose to be a series. I enjoyed it. Awaiting pt. 2.
I have never read a book fully of mermaids and sea creatures! Natavia killed this one! I loved the origin story! It’s so original.
The waters on this planet are so unknown and unexplored because we can’t get deep enough. This story explores supernaturals that can live below that we rarely read about.
A young woman who has no clue of her powers and her destiny. Her mother who has denied her title and powers which leaves her daughter vulnerable. A young man who has desires for a better life away from his small town and his family. He is fully aware of his powers and wants to live free and enjoy life, but family responsibilities, loyalty, and protecting his brother keeps him bound.
These two cross paths and things get real deep! I truly enjoyed this book!
Deep by Navatia pulls you into an urban paranormal romance that’s easy to follow yet full of layered world-building. Some parts of the story felt a bit rushed — like scenes that could’ve lingered just a little longer — but the immersive supernatural elements kept me turning pages.
The world Navatia created is intriguing and accessible, which isn’t always easy in this genre. It gave just enough to hook me, and even with the pacing issues, I’m definitely curious (and invested enough) to dive into the next book.
Here’s hoping book two slows down and goes deeper into the story’s full potential.
I really enjoyed this book. Natavia never disappoints so this is what I expected and so much more. I like the fact that the female has the power. Yes Zam is made for her but her on her own doesn't take away from who she is. In the beginning Shore was not herself plus she really did not know who she really was but as the story progressed so did her knowledge of herself. She gets to do things she never was able to do and experience things she never experienced. I am glad she found Zam, I like how their destiny was planned thru their mother's. Why do I have a feeling that Lake is going to turn on her people....
You are a beast with the pen. Your mind can go from one extreme tip the next and every book is a page turner. I'm so glad that Oceana is back because I think Shore is going to need her help from Laguna when she comes for Shore. Zambezi hopefully won't fall for Laguna and his love for Shore will stay strong. I'm sure Shore is pregnant at this point because her and Zambezi couldn't keep their hands off of each other. Lake is a hater and they are going to need to watch her. Elanora had something going on with her and I can't wait to see what her issue is but I bet it's all from jealousy. I can't wait till the next book drops.
3.5⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Paranormal fated mates romance. The FMC is a water fairy, and the MMC is a serpent/dragon. The trope was almost enemies to lovers, but it was more like instant love. The villain is a water demon who used to be a water fairy. She basically turned an entire town into zombies to help her with revenge against her family. I can say that the author needed to work on the transitions, and some of the conflicts in the book were unclear. However, I will read book 2 because this is the first time I’ve encountered these specific underwater creatures in a book, and I enjoyed learning something new.
Never thought that I would enjoy a paranormal book until I rad one of Natavia’s books and I’ve been hooked ever since. This book flowed well and had lots of action in it. Adwoa was evil and I’m glad that she’s gone, but it seems as if Laguna is going to take her place. Bay needs a o hear the truth and I think that he needs to be with Reef. I totally love the relationship between Shore and Zambesi and they need to hear the truth from her mom. Can’t wait to read the finale.
This is the exact book that I have been looking for. It fulfills fantasy, hood romance, mystery, sly jokes, and togetherness all in one. I love that it is a representation of our Black culture and gives some historical fiction along with the story line. “The Little Mermaid” has nothing on this novel, but if you were a big fan of Ariel and always wished there was a black princess mermaid that you could relate to THIS my dear is the book for you?! PhenomenalWorkNatavia I need Part II ASAP!
Natavia, has done it once again. This book was amazing...I'm just mad that it ended. I loved the bond that the fairies had with one another. They got on Zambezi's last nerve...lol. Reef was my favorite, I loved her innocent, raw personality. I hope Jewel will sit down and talk to Bay. I can't wait for the next book to read about Oceana's reunion with her family. And what the hell happened to Eleonora?
I have never in my life been a fan of paranormal of ANY KIND.... but once I started this book it was so hard to put down. Thank you natavia for giving me a different out look on these kind of stories. I can't wait for part 2. I'm to excited to see how this is going to turn out. I'm truly on edge and DEEPly in love with these characters. Great read for sure 10 stars #TEAMSHORE #TEAMZAM #TEAMFAIRIES
